Anti-N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor encephalitis (anti-NMDARE) and anti-leucine-rich glioma-inactivated 1 encephalitis (anti-LGI1E) are the two most common types of antibody-mediated autoimmune encephalitis. We performed a comprehensive analysis of the B-cell immune repertoire in patients with anti-NMDARE (n = 7) and anti-LGI1E (n = 10) and healthy controls (n = 4). The results revealed the presence of many common clones between patients with these two types of autoimmune encephalitis, which were mostly class-switched. Additionally, many differences were found among the anti-NMDARE, anti-LGI1E, and healthy control groups, including the diversity of the B-cell immune repertoire and gene usage preference. These findings suggest that the same adaptive immune responses occur in patients with anti-NMDARE and anti-LGI1E, which deserves further exploration.

Abstract Background: Epinephelus fuscoguttatus is one of the rare marine economic fishes with high economic value. At present, the researches on grouper mainly focus on artificial propagation, physiology and biochemistry, diseases and so on. However, there are few reports on mitochondrial genome level. The research aimed to analyze composition characteristics and usage preference of codon of mitochondrial genome in E. fuscoguttatus, and explored main factors of affecting the formation of codon preference, thereby providing theoretical basis for studying species evolution, genetics and breeding, and improving expression efficiency of exogenous genes. Results: GC content of mitochondrial genome of E. fuscoguttatus changed between 44.00% and 46.30%, with 45.40% of mean. Change range of CAI value was between 0.125 and 0.202, and the mean was 0.155. Effective number of codons (ENC) changed between 36.08 and 49.55, with 44.98 of mean. There were 32 codons that relative synonymous codon usage (RSCU) was more than 1, mainly ended with A/C. ENC-plot analysis found that all the genes were in the lower middle of the standard curve, and there was larger difference between actual and theoretical ENC, illustrating that codon bias was mainly affected by the choice. Correspondence analysis showed that the first axis contributed 58.85% of the difference, while the second, third and fourth axes contributed 14.59%, 7.66% and 5.43% of the difference respectively. Cumulative contribution rate of the first four vectors was 85.53%. Finally, nine optimal codons were selected: CUU, AUC, GUU, CCU, GCA, UAU, CGC, AGC and GGC.Conclusions: Codon usage preference of mitochondrial genome of E. fuscoguttatus was weak, and it preferred to use A/C terminated codon, and preference was mainly influenced by choice.

Apple stem grooving virus (ASGV; genus Capillovirus) is an economically important virus. It has an approx. 6.5 kb, monopartite, linear, positive-sense, single-stranded RNA genome. The present study includes identification of 24 isolates—13 isolates from apple (Pyrus malus L.) and 11 isolates from pear (Pyrus communis L.)—from different agricultural fields in South Korea. The coat protein (CP) gene of the corresponding 23 isolates were amplified, sequenced, and analyzed. The CP sequences showed phylogenetic separation based on their host species, and not on the geography, indicating host adaptation. Further analysis showed that the ASGV isolated in this study followed host adaptation influenced and preferred by the host codon-usage.

The members of the family Iridoviridae are large, double-stranded DNA viruses that infect various hosts, including both vertebrates and invertebrates. Although great progress has been made in genomic and phylogenetic analyses, the adequacy of the existing criteria for classification within the Iridoviridae family remains unknown. In this study, we redetermined 23 Iridoviridae core genes by re-annotation, core-pan analysis and local BLASTN search. The phylogenetic tree based on the 23 re-annotated core genes (Maximum Likelihood, ML-Tree) and amino acid sequences (composition vector, CV-Tree) were found to be consistent with previous reports. Furthermore, the information provided by synteny analysis and codon usage preference (relative synonymous codon usage, correspondence analysis, ENC-plot and Neutrality plot) also supports the phylogenetic relationship. Collectively, our results will be conducive to understanding the genera demarcation within the Iridoviridae family based on genomic synteny and component (codon usage preference) and contribute to the existing taxonomy methods for the Iridoviridae family.

Abstract Interaction of SARS-CoV-2 spike glycoprotein with the ACE2 cell receptor is very crucial for virus attachment to human cells. Selected mutations in SARS-CoV-2 S-protein are reported to strengthen its binding affinity to mammalian ACE2. The N501T mutation in SARS-CoV-2-CTD furnishes better support to hotspot 353 in comparison with SARS-CoV and shows higher affinity for receptor binding. Recombination analysis exhibited higher recombination events in SARS-CoV-2 strains, irrespective of their geographical origin or hosts. Investigation further supports a common origin among SARS-CoV-2 and its predecessors, SARS-CoV and bat-SARS-like-CoV. The recombination events suggest a constant exchange of genetic material among the co-infecting viruses in possible reservoirs and human hosts before SARS-CoV-2 emerged. Furthermore, a comprehensive analysis of codon usage bias (CUB) in SARS-CoV-2 revealed significant CUB among the S-genes of different beta-coronaviruses governed majorly by natural selection and mutation pressure. Various indices of codon usage of S-genes helped in quantifying its adaptability in other animal hosts. These findings might help in identifying potential experimental animal models for investigating pathogenicity for drugs and vaccine development experiments.

The Internet is considered to be one of the most effective search channels for people to get a variety of information. This is especially true, for young tourists within the 18-30 year range, who prefer free independent travel tours. Many tend to have strong information needs about their travel destinations and the use of mobile technology for information search is rapidly becoming a popular trend, especially with this demographic. This study aims to investigate the associations between the mobile device usage preference and information search behavior of young travelers, between the ages of 18 and 30, in the People's Republic of China (PRC). For this purpose, a sample of 133 respondents is used. Results of the survey are provided and followed by a discussion of the overall context. Study limitations and directions for future development are suggested.

The marine subsistence economy of the prehistoric people of northern Chile was heavily reliant on fiber technology for the components of nets, lines, and tethers. Despite the significance and the remarkable preservation of fiber artifacts along the arid Atacama coastline, these components have received little direct attention. This case study of fiber artifacts from the Caleta Vitor archaeological complex is the first broad overview of techniques, material usage/preference, and fiber-processing conventions at a northern Chilean Archaic period site. The data presented in this paper indicate gradual change in material preferences over time, shifting from locally available vegetal fiber, which dominates the Archaic period, with small amounts of camelid fiber, to the predominance of camelid fiber in the Late Formative period. This change coincides with the appearance of more complex weaving techniques indicating participation in the previously established textile tradition proposed by Ulloa (2008) as stretching from the Azapa Valley to the Loa River.

This paper examines the variations of request strategies based on the theory suggested by Ide Sachiko on Japanese politeness strategies. The purpose of this study is figure out the variations of politeness strategy in Japanese request. The primary data source of this research a Japanese drama entitled “Engine”. The data were analyzed based on the Wakimae (Discernment) and Ishiryoku (Volition) concept. Japanese social rules encourage people to take into account the social distance, psychological distance, and formality in every interaction. The distance affects the selection and use of diverse futsuugo and keigo in both request topic sentence and supporting reasons and yobikake usage preference. The results of the study show that the use of yobikake, requests, and reasons were adjusted based on the social distance of the people in the conversation. Keywords : Request Strategies; Politeness; Wakimae; Volition; Social Distance.

Global navigation satellite systems are increasingly part of our lives and many industries including aviation. Glider flying is no exception in this trend. Global navigation satellite systems were part of gliding since the early 1990s. First as official recording devices for simple evidence of sporting performances, then as navigation systems, anti-collision systems and emergency location transmitters. Development of recording application was initiated and supported by International Gliding Commission of World Air Sports Federation in way of certifications for flight recorders. The use of navigation and other modern instruments in gliders has brought many benefits but also risks. However, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages and these systems are now integral part of gliding. With this wide usage of global navigation satellite systems devices, there is great many possibilities how and in which way one can use these systems. Pilots must orient themselves in varied selection of products, which they can use to choose one solution, that fits him. Therefore, to find out how and if pilots use these devices, we created questionnaire survey among 143 Czech glider pilots. We found out, that 84% of them are using global navigation satellite systems devices for official record of flight and for navigation as well. More than half of pilots is using free, not built-in devices. Most common devices are mobile phones up to 5 inches of screen diagonal in combination with approved flight recorder without display. If pilots use mobile device for navigation, 52% of them is using one with Windows Mobile operating system, 33% use Android. Navigational software on these mobile devices is then almost tied between SeeYou Mobile, XCSoar and LK8000. Knowledge about usage preference of global navigation systems devices should help pilots with selection and overall orientation in subject.
