Student assignment moderation and written feedback are integral to tertiary education, supporting student learning and providing a means of ensuring equity in grading. The processes of moderation and feedback provision have, however, been associated with a number of negative outcomes including confusion, disengagement, and reduced self-confidence. Improvements to moderation processes must be reviewed to facilitate continued student engagement and learning. Embedded within empowerment theory, this pilot study aimed to explore the feasibility of involving students in the moderation process and to determine whether students benefit from participating in the moderation process. A multiple method approach was undertaken to understand the perspectives of students on the moderation process. Six undergraduate occupational therapy students participated in the moderation of a written essay with tutors and participated in a focus group. Three themes relating to their experiences emerged: 1) student empowerment, 2) transparency and increased understanding of the moderation process, and 3) understanding the assessor mindset. Combined results suggest that inclusion of students in the moderation process is feasible within a tertiary education context, with this study acting as a pilot for the inclusion of students in these processes.

Extant hospitality literature has tended to view the dimensions of service quality as primarily complementary or differential in nature. However, studies of the similarities and differences between the two types of service quality have been limited. This study investigates how restaurant image and customer orientation affect the relative importance of both process and outcome service quality in customer satisfaction, focusing on restaurants during the COVID-19 pandemic. Using a moderated moderation process and macro-based approach (M = 3), our findings show that process service quality impacts restaurant satisfaction; however, they also reveal that outcome service quality has a stronger main effect on restaurant satisfaction than process service quality. In particular, the findings show that the negative impact of the relationship between process (or outcome) service quality and restaurant image on restaurant satisfaction is insignificant when customer orientation is low. On the other hand, the same relationship has an even stronger positive effect on restaurant satisfaction when customer orientation is high. These findings have implications for restaurants’ efforts to develop and improve service quality, and bolster customer orientation, helping them identify more effective strategic approaches during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.

This study is a qualitative research with library research instrument. The data used are qualitative data in the form of descriptions, presentations, and writings relevant to the research topic, which are referred to from books, journals, and articles. This research method is descriptive, which describes data from library materials according to relevant studies. The data was collected using a documentary technique, in which the data was extracted from documents from various library materials, then analyzed using content analysis. With this technique, qualitative data is sorted, categorized (grouped) with similar data. The contents are critically analyzed so that a concrete formulation is formulated which is then explained in depth. The emergence of several phenomena in this country such as the issue of terrorism, Islamophobia, excessive demonstrations, discrimination against one group and blasphemers of religion, made the government realize that Indonesia is a large country that has hundreds of tribes and languages. Ways are needed to maintain that sovereignty, one of which is by providing an understanding in education about the application of moderation in everyday life. Some Islamic values that need to be understood and implemented in the moderation process of Islamic education are: Tawasuth, Tawazun, I'tidal, Tasamuh, Musawah, Shura, Islah, Awlawiyah, Tathawur, Tahaddhur.

Online newspaper is the easiest and best way to get news today. Online newspaper facilitators create new path for online newspaper readers. During this pandemic time, people face different difficulties such as lockdown, travel restriction, quarantine or isolation etc. Thus, most of them are at home and do works under the work from home concept meantime demand for online news is also increased harshly. Literature survey revealed that there is a handful of studies done in Sri Lankan context related to the present study. Accordingly, data were collected from total population of 291 academic and nonacademic executive staff members in the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka. The collected data were analyzed using statistical techniques; reliability test, descriptive analysis, Andrew F. Hayes moderation process analysis, correlation coefficient and regression analysis with SPSS. Respondents are from all six faculties and they who are in various age groups with different educational qualifications. However, even most of the staff members heard about online newspaper, online newspaper usage is low. Results of correlation and regression analysis confirmed that online habit, internet experience and social influence positively influence on adoption towards the online newspaper reading. Furthermore, moderating influence of gender, age and education were tested with Andrew F. Hayes moderation process analysis and revealed concerned demographic factors moderate only the relationships of internet experience and online habit with dependent variable. Study recommends and give insights to develop creative and effective future plan for online newspaper providers to increase the usage of online newspaper reading among online users.

This study proposes and tests an interactional model of purchase intention where openness to experience serves as a core construct between nostalgia and purchase intention. Based on Identity Social Theory and the Big Five Model of personality traits, nostalgia and openness to experience are proposed as contextual and individual variables that are interrelated in this process. The interaction between openness to experience and nostalgia leads to buying intention behavior. In general, this model needs a moderation process where openness to experience is a crucial factor to transform the contextual resource into purchase intention behavior. The hypotheses are examined using structural Equation Modelling, based on data obtained from a self-administered survey of 273 respondents. We discuss the implication, both theoretical and practical in this study. Keywords: Nostlagia, Openness To Experience, purchase Intention, Social Identification Theory.

The results of the numeral studies of the source of positrons for NSC KIPT are presented. The positrons are to produce from conversion of the 40 MeV electrons. The bunches of such electrons will be provided by the linac LUE-40. The estimations of yield of the positrons, their spectrum, and spatial-angular distribution are produced. The possibility of the spectrum modification with help of the RF resonator adjusted to the sub-harmonics of the RF frequency is proposed. It is shown that the use of such device allows to substantially increase the number of positrons with small energy. It allows to promote efficiency of the moderation process and increase yield of the slow mono energetic positrons. The optimal parameters of conversion target have been defined. The preliminary calculations of the system of forming the positron bunch are presented as well.

Her Majesty’s Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS) is responsible for the administration of the criminal, civil, and family courts and tribunals in England and Wales and nondevolved tribunals in Scotland and Northern Ireland. In 2016, HMCTS began a 6-year, £1.2 billion transformational reform program to modernize and upgrade the courts and tribunals system. A need was identified to change the HMCTS performance management (PM) process; the personal impact and development (PID) scheme was developed in response. The PID scheme includes regular conversations with direct reports to discuss performance, strengths, aspirations, and potential. It moves the HMCTS away from a past-focused, manager-driven PM system to a joint manager–colleague approach; employees are supported to achieve their goals and reach their potential. To achieve this, the objective setting was replaced with high-level outcomes and in-year monetary reward. Feedback about the PID scheme has been positive. People like the development focus, and line managers generally enjoy the flexibility they have. It takes fewer resources to operate—principally achieved through removing the moderation process—even when accounting for the higher frequency of performance conversations. Nearly three quarters of respondents to the annual staff survey said they had regular PID chats with their line manager. Of those who said yes, 67% agreed that the PID scheme had made them feel more supported by their line manager, and 69% agreed that their line manager had the skills needed to have a meaningful chat. HMCTS is heartened by early evidence, including feedback and internal audit results.
