The work determines the degree of thermographic suitability of the method of temperature measurement in people exercising on a rowing ergometer. Thermography is gaining popularity in medical diagnostics by measuring the body temperature. Its main advantages are non-invasive, safe and comfortable for patients. It is widely used in the prevention of breast cancer and treatment of osteoarticular injuries. The basis for the use of thermography in medicine is the phenomenon of thermoregulation of living organisms and the emissive property of the skin, which is similar in value to a perfectly black body.To achieve the set goal, 10 people were trained on the rowing ergometer. During the two series of measurements (before and immediately after), the focus was on two areas of the subjects' body: upper limbs and abdomen. The thermographs obtained were analyzed taking into account the physical and physiological parameters of the players and their experience. The conclusions from them seemed to answer the thesis that the thermographic method is suitable for supporting players in planning and improving their training. It has also been shown that training on a rowing ergometer involves many muscle parties in which an increase in the released metabolic heat takes place.

The paper presents numerical analysis of charge exchange in an opposed-piston two-stroke engine. The research engine is a newly designed internal diesel engine. This unit is composed of three cylinders in which operate three pairs of opposed-pistons. The numerical investigations were carried out using ANSYS FLUENT solver. The geometrical model includes an intake manifold, a cylinder and an outlet manifold. The calculations specified a swirl coefficient obtained under steady conditions for fully open intake and exhaust ports as well as the CA value of 280° for all cylinders. In addition, mass flow rates were identified separately in all of the intake and exhaust ports to achieve the best possible uniformity of flow in particular cylinders.

The article presents modern laminate composites designed for aircraft structural elements based on ECC e461 symmetric fabric and Interglas 02037 symmetric fabric with MGS L285/H285 resin. These composites differ in the weave used and the type of fabric. The article presents basic strength parameters of the composite obtained as a result of stand tests. The results of compressive strength tests of the material samples are presented. It was shown that the weave of the fabric significantly affects the strength parameters of the composite. The change of the weave caused the increase in strength by more than 65%. The possibilities of application of this material on selected structural elements of aircraft such as: propeller blade plating, masts, shavings, pylons.

The aim of this publication is to determine the OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency) indicator for 5 axes milling machine found at Diehl Aircabin Hungary Ltd. for the present and future state. Based on this value, the utilization of the machine for the given production amount can be calculated. With the optimal choice of the right production parameters (the number of cuts, feeding, depth of cut, etc.) greater productivity can be achieved i.e. the machine main time (time of cutting) will be less. The possibilities of the reduction of the machine time will be analysed and calculated. Setting of the appropriate technological parameters the machine main time could be decreased. The calculation of the machine main time will be determined for the most frequent manufacturing technologies.

The paper investigates the growing popularity of composite materials concentrating on explanation of their advantages, especially taking into consideration composite materials used in the aerospace industry such as polymer matrix composites, metal matrix composites, ceramic matrix composites and smart composite materials. Various types of matrices and fibers are described with special emphasis on nanotechnology and opportunities to improve the properties of composites. The paper also presents selected examples of applications in the aerospace industry.

The economy of any country depends on its ability to conserve and regenerate energy. Therefore, it is a key element for the development of any country. Every second its supply is rapidly becoming exhausted in this fast and busy moving world. The continuous and dynamic rise in the world’s population has a great impact on energy crisis. Due to this, an optimal method of utilising energy needs to be developed. For instance, eco-friendly solutions for vehicles. An effective generation of power can be obtained with three steps, one as linear motion to rotary and again rotary motion to produce electricity. Owing to this concept, energy can be preserved, and its implementation is essential for current situation considering a high rate of world’s population.

The article describes development of a mathematical model for describing the values and artefacts of the project stakeholders. The target functions of the project success based on the values and artefacts of the project are proposed. The approach to form a set of tasks of the project, and connections between them due to the use of project artefacts is proposed.

Experimental and industrial research of the technological process during the year 2017, including planning, is presented in this paper. That research was conducted in the new Foundry of new Ferronickel in Drenas, which is in the village of Cikatove, Drenas, the Republic of Kosovo. According to initial calculations, an amount of ore which would enter the process was determined, however the anticipated amount was different from the one used during the process. The same applies to fuel. Difference between the planned and the actual amount of ore used during the year 2017 resulted from the percentage of Ni in the amount of ore used in the foundry, demand for an Fe-Ni ferroalloy etc. The technological process in the foundry serves the purpose of processing ore of iron-nickel with a high percentage of Ni in its composition. The material balance of the technological process in the new Foundry of new Ferronickel in Drenas, presented in this paper, is based on experimental and industrial data of the technological process acquired in the foundry. The material balance includes the technological process starting from calculation of the amount of ore and fuel, both making up the load for the rotary kiln. Additional contributors to the material balance are calculation of the amount of: fuel, which impacts the increase of temperature in rotary kilns, charge for the electric furnaces, metal and slags from the electric furnaces, metal and slags from the refining process (convertors) and mathematical calculation of the final product which is the ferroalloy of Fe-Ni. While preparing the material balance we have noticed greater acquisition of Ni than planned. The greater amount of Ni was produced by a smaller amount of ore than originally planned.

The role of adhesive technology in industry has increased significantly in recent times. The need to transfer evergreater stresses while reducing the mass of devices causes difficulties in engineering. The use of dissimilarmaterials prioritise this technology. Special equipment is required to ensure the right technological conditions.CAD software facilitates the creation of a virtual design to meet the formulated requirements. This articlepresents the method of designing the instrumentation allowing to conduct the study of adhesives cured by UVrays.

The paper presents biomechanics of the human spine. The vertebrae of the spine are described, including basic differentiation between vertebrae depending on theirs placement in the spine. The intervertebral discs are depicted. Curvatures of the spine are presented, followed by the basic biomechanics, including a movability of the spine and an influence of body posture on the spine.
