Penelitian ini di latarbelakangi oleh keterampilan berbahasa yang masih rendah di bawah rata-rata pada peserta didik kelas X SMA Muhammadiyah Tawangharjo, khususnya keterampilan menentukan teks anekdot. Dengan demikian perlu diupayakan penerapan media pembelajaran tertentu untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dan menambah minat dalam menwentukan teks anekdot peserta didik kelas X SMA Muhammadiyah Tawangharjo yaitu dengan menerapkan media pembelajaran wayang kardus.

English is pivotal in the globalization era since it is a bridge that connects one country with others. People from around the world able to interact directly using English as the medium of communication. The mastery of English is usually followed by its accompanying culture (western culture). Elementary school students who obtain English without internalizing Pancasila (Indonesia Ideology) values tend to think individually and ignoring their surroundings. If it is continuing, it will lead to national disintegration. Therefore, this research contributes to combine the values of Pancasila with English. Data collection methods were descriptive qualitative in the form of surveys, interviews, and observations. The research begins with the observations in bookstores and textbooks for elementary school students. the development of the model will begin with data collection. The pre-development stage is in the form of qualitative data by collecting primary data. Primary data collection was obtained from sample of elementary schools in Ungaran. The flashcard development process was designed with the Research and Development research design. Based on the data analysis, Pancasila-based flashcard consist of 50 cards divided into 5 types that based on the five principle of Pancasila. Those types are Religiosity, Humanity, Unity, Democracy, and Equality. Further research and dissemination are needed to perfect Pancasila-based flashcard.

This study discusses the relationship between the meaning of kanji 金 (kin), 貨 (ka), 銭 (sen) in the kanji jukugo which has the meaning of money in Indonesian. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The researcher uses this method because basically this research is a qualitative research. In addition, this method is also considered appropriate enough to approach the problem to be studied. The technique that will be carried out in collecting data in this research is conducting a literature study. The data analysis technique used is describing each kanji vocabulary contained kanji 金 (kin), 貨 (ka), 銭 (sen) then analyzing how the relationship between the meaning of kanji’s foms, then analysing into a table that illustrates the meaning of each starch based on the form original from the vocabulary of the kanji contained kanji 金 (kin), 貨 (ka), 銭 (sen) which shows the meaning of money. This study has including that each kanji can show the function and structure of the meaning of the money shown, and from the translation of the kanji based on the meaning of the author's relationship can know the meaning of words based on the pattern and meaning of the kanji Jukugo’s forms.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsiskan bentuk kesalahan ejaan pada teks biografi peserta didik kelas X SMK Negeri 6 Semarang tahun pelajaran 2018/2019.Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Prosedur penelitian yang digunakan adalah dengan cara mengklasifikasikan jenis kesalahan ejaan yang terdapat dalam teks biografi peserta didik kelas X SMK Negeri 6 Semarang tahun pelajaran 2018/2019. Penyediaan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik simak bebas libat catat. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode agih, yang alat penentunya merupakan bagian dari bahasa itu sendiri. Teknik dasar dalam metode agih adalah teknik bagi unsur langsung.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesalahan ejaan teks biografi peserta didik kelas X SMK Negeri 6 Semarang tahun pelajaran 2018/2019 meliputi: kesalahan penggunaan huruf kapital, kesalahan penggunaan huruf miring, kesalahan penulisan kata, dan kesalahan penggunaan tanda baca.

Tense and aspect are one of the most important part on languange grammar. It used on everyday conversation so understanding it are a must for foreign languange learners, but it can be difficult to them because not all of languange have tense and aspect. This study aims to describe similarities and differences of tense and aspect on shunkan doushi  in Bahasa and Japanese. This study uses a contrastive analysis method by taking data from various sources. The result of this study are 1) the similarities between them are temporary adverbial can be used in both of languange. Meanwhile, the differences between them are 2) there is changes on the verb in Japanese meanwhile, in Bahasa there is no changes. 3) In this study, tenses on Japanese shunkan doushi, it can be used only for past tense and future tense, meanwhile in Bahasa it can be used on past tense, simple tense and future tense, 4)  in this study, all of the aspect on Japanese are kigentai which mean an ending, meanwhile in Bahasa it can be an ending, progressive, continuative or repetitive.

This research aims to investigate how identities are constructed and represented in Rurounin Kenshin (1996). By referring to Foucauldian approach, its believed that identities were formed and defined by contestation of discourses which is entailed by social and cultural values. Since comic has been a material object of this study, Pierce semiotic methods have been used to explore how identities represented by symbol, icon, or index in virtual media. Based on this theory and methodological approach, this research found that discourse of modernity and tradition have constructed an identity which represented by idea, fashion, and technology.

Code switching and code mixing is one phenomenon in social interaction. Thisphenomenon often arises in bilingual or people who speak more than two languages(multilingual). Japanese Literature Students of Universitas Ngudi Waluyo, 2017/2018 aspart of a multi-lingual society, also experienced events called code switching and codemixing. Mastery of Japanese is certainly influential on student interaction outside theclassroom. This research needs to be done to fnd out the events of code switchingand code mixing that occur. This research is based on the idea that the language usedby Japanese Literature students at Universitas Ngudi Waluyo in class of 2017/2018 ininteracting with each other outside the classroom also includes the Japanese languageas a second language, even the third language that students master. Besides that, it alsolooks at how the 2017/2018 Japanese literature students enter Japanese in interacting, asa choice of language that they think is appropriate.Keywords: code, code switching, code mixing

Imperative politeness is one of the concerns in character education. This is becausepoliteness in speaking is part of pillars in character education. Based on the results of study,students from the Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Faculty, Institute Agama Islam Neger(IAIN) Pontianak showed a tendency to be less polite in speaking, this is evident fromthe imperative speeches they convey in their interactions between them. Meanwhile, thespeech language they use represents their personality, and becomes problematic becausethey are studying at the Tarbiyah Faculty and Teacher Training of IAIN Pontianak adnthey are prepared to be prospective teachers. Methodologically, this research is classifedas qualitative research with a pragmatic approach. In research, the data collection methodused is the referring method and the profcient method. The objects of the study wasSambas Malay students who study at the Teacher Training Faculty, Institute Agama IslamNeger (IAIN) Pontianak .

The aim of this research was to find out the effectiveness of List-Group-Label (LGL) strategy in teaching vocabulary and how significant the effect of List-Group-Label (LGL) strategy was in teaching vocabulary to the second semester Students of Islamic Education Department of Teacher Training and Education Faculty of IAIN Pontianak  in the Academic Year of 2017/2018.The research design employs a pre-experimental research in form of one group Pretest- Posttest design and had no control group. The population of this research was all of the second semester Students of Islamic Education Department of Teacher Training and Education Faculty of IAIN Pontianak  in the Academic Year of 2017/2018 consisted of 317 students and the chosen sample was class B. The sample was taken by apllying Cluster random sampling technique. The research was conducted at IAIN Pontianak.The technique of data collection in this research was measurement. The data were collected with essay test. The pre-test and post-test were distributed in order to get the data from the students. The data were analyzed by using t test. The result revealed that List-Group-Label (LGL) strategy was effective on students’ vocabulary mastery because the mean score in pretest and posttest were different and the difference were considered significant. The effect size calculation revealed that List-Group-Label (LGL) strategy gave strong effect to the students’ vocabulary mastery. It could be inferred that List-Group-Label (LGL) strategy was significantly effective in teaching vocabulary to the second semester Students of Islamic Education Department of Teacher Training and Education Faculty of IAIN Pontianak  in the Academic Year of 2017/2018 and the treatments gave strong effect to the students in learning vocabulary. List-Group-Label (LGL) strategy can be implemented in teaching vocabulary in order to improve students’ vocabulary mastery.
