The aim of this research was to find out the effectiveness of List-Group-Label (LGL) strategy in teaching vocabulary and how significant the effect of List-Group-Label (LGL) strategy was in teaching vocabulary to the second semester Students of Islamic Education Department of Teacher Training and Education Faculty of IAIN Pontianak  in the Academic Year of 2017/2018.The research design employs a pre-experimental research in form of one group Pretest- Posttest design and had no control group. The population of this research was all of the second semester Students of Islamic Education Department of Teacher Training and Education Faculty of IAIN Pontianak  in the Academic Year of 2017/2018 consisted of 317 students and the chosen sample was class B. The sample was taken by apllying Cluster random sampling technique. The research was conducted at IAIN Pontianak.The technique of data collection in this research was measurement. The data were collected with essay test. The pre-test and post-test were distributed in order to get the data from the students. The data were analyzed by using t test. The result revealed that List-Group-Label (LGL) strategy was effective on students’ vocabulary mastery because the mean score in pretest and posttest were different and the difference were considered significant. The effect size calculation revealed that List-Group-Label (LGL) strategy gave strong effect to the students’ vocabulary mastery. It could be inferred that List-Group-Label (LGL) strategy was significantly effective in teaching vocabulary to the second semester Students of Islamic Education Department of Teacher Training and Education Faculty of IAIN Pontianak  in the Academic Year of 2017/2018 and the treatments gave strong effect to the students in learning vocabulary. List-Group-Label (LGL) strategy can be implemented in teaching vocabulary in order to improve students’ vocabulary mastery.

<p>The study is aimed to reveal the correlation between student’s English interest, vocabulary mastery toward student’s English achievement of the second-semester Students of Islamic Education Department of Teacher Training and Education Faculty of IAIN Pontianak in the academic year of 2017/2018. This study used a test, a questionnaire, and documentation to collect the data. The population of the study is all of the second-semester students while the sample is 50 students taken by cluster random sampling technique. The techniques used to analyze the data are simple and multiple correlation and regression by using SPSS 23. The results of the study show that there is a positive correlation between student’s English interest, and vocabulary mastery toward student’s English achievement. The positive correlation indicates that English interest, and vocabulary mastery line together with student’s English achievement.<br />keywords: correlation, english interest, vocabulary mastery english achievement</p>

This study aimed at figuring out the increase of student thinking skills through the preparation of questions. The population of the research was all of four-semester students of Biology Department of Teacher Training and Education (Tarbiyah) Faculty of IAIN Ar-Raniry in academic year 2012/2013. The sample then selected 29 students. The method used was experimental research. The researcher taught by using Questioning Reading and Answering learning model. Students are asked to read the course topic and then prepare substantial questions from the reading. The assigned materials were Bryophyta and Pteridophyta. The test of thinking skill followed the rubric of knowledge dimensions and cognitive process dimensions of Anderson and Karthwohl. The results showed an increase in thinking ability of students toward the higher level thinking ability. Thus the application of the Reading Questioning and Answering model can improve thinking ability of students in Botany Cryptogamae course.

<p class="JKKAbstrakBodyIndo">The problem for pregnant women is iron anemia. The natural material that contains iron is honey. The study aims to determine the difference in hemoglobin levels in pregnant anemic who are supplemented Fe tablets and honey. Quasi-experimental research with nonrandomized pretest and posttest with control group design. Samples amounted to 30 people with purposive sampling technique. Analysis using paired t-test and independent sample t-test. The hemoglobin levels of anemic pregnant given Fe tablets only increased by 0,31gr/dl (3,21%), while those given Fe tablets and honey increased 1,06gr/dl (12,20%). Combination Fe tablets and honey can be an alternative for increasing hemoglobin in anemic pregnant.</p><p> </p>

The experimental research is aimed to revealing the difference between science process through inquiry learning model and inquiry learning model with pictorial riddle method for students in SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsari academic year 2015/2016. The research designs is using pretest posttest control group design. The samples were chosen by purposive sampling technique. The population is all students of SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsari grade VIII, while the samples are the  students in VIII D class (experiment class 1) and VIII F class (experiment class 2). The instrument of this research  is the science process skills test in form of reasoned multiple choice, which has been tested statistically it’s  validity, reliability, discrimination index and level of difficulty of  the item. The data analysed used  independent sample t-test at significant  level  of 5 % with  tcount is 2,535 and ttable  is 1,671 because tcoun > ttable,, then H0  is  rejected and Ha accepted. The result indicates that there is a difference between science process through inquiry learning model and  inquiry learning  model with  pictorial riddle  method for student in SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsari academic year  2015/2016.

This research begun from the students’ problems in understanding the English structure at the first semester of English Education Department, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Madura Islamic University (UIM) Pamekasan. From the data, it showed that most of students did not achieve the target score 75 (B), it was only 43.75% students. These problems occurred because 1) they used to memorize the pattern of English structure, 2) they seldom practice it in spoken or written, 3) they felt afraid of making mistakes. Concerning with these, the researcher tried to solve by implementing an appropriate strategy, it is SAVI (SOMATIC, AUDITORY, VISUAL AND INTELLECTUAL) which was introduced by Dave Meire. The research design is Classroom Action Research (CAR). It was done in two cycles with four steps; planning, acting, observing and reflecting. After conducting the research, there were significant improvements of students’ score. From the data, in the preliminary study, there were only 43.75% who achieved the target score. After implementing SAVI in the cycle I, there were improvement of students score, it was 62.5% students who achieved the target score. In cycle II, there were 87.5% students. From the data above, it could be concluded that implementing SAVI is success because it achieved the target score, it is more than 85% students got 75 (B). This study aimed at investigating the effectiveness of the use of the systemic approach to improve students’ understanding on adjectives materials related to the use, usage, synonym, antonym, spelling, pronunciation, collocation, meaning, and order. This research employed a quasi-experimental design. The populations were the third-semester students of Muhammadiyah University of Makassar in academic year 2017/2018. The sample consisted of 40 students chosen from two classes by using purposive sampling technique then were divided into two groups, namely experimental and control group. The difference between experimental and control class was based on the teaching technique used during the treatment. While the experimental class was taught by using systemic approach, control class was taught by using the conventional method.The instruments of this research were adjective tests. The data was analyzed by using statistical analysis on SPSS for Windows 20.0 program. As per data, experimental group experienced improvement on their understanding on adjectives in terms of use, usage, meaning, spelling, pronunciation, synonym, antonym, collocation, and order indicated by the post-test mean score (77.1) which was significantly higher than that of the control class (59.7) and the gain of experimental group (31.2) which was higher than control group (17.4). Another supporting indicator is the t-test value which was higher than the t-table value (4.022 > 1.75). Furthermore, the researcher found that the element of adjective which experienced most significant increase on its mastery happened on the usage, while the lowest one was the collocation. The result of this research indicated that there was significant improvement between experimental and control class. It means that systemic approach that was applied in experimental group can improve the students’ mastery on adjectives material. Thus it was concluded that the systemic approach was effective to improve students’ on adjectives.

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis literasi keuangan mahasiswa penerima Beasiswa Bidikmisi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Pekanbaru dengan subjek penelitian mahasiswa penerima Beasiswa Bidikmisi Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Riau. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian survei yang bertujuan memaparkan literasi keuangan mahasiswa penerima Beasiswa Bidikmisi. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 178 mahasiswa yang diambil dari populasi sebanyak 630 mahasiswa dengan teknik Cochran sampling. Data dikoleksi melalui kuesioner berupa tes yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa literasi keuangan mahasiswa penerima Beasiswa Bidikmisi Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Riau berada pada kategori literate dengan persentase jawaban benar 64,61%.This study aims to analyze the financial literacy of Bidikmisi Scholarship recipient students. This research was conducted in Pekanbaru with the research subject of the Bidikmisi Scholarship recipient students of the University of Riau Teacher Training and Education Faculty. This research is a type of survey research that aims to explain the financial literacy of Bidikmisi Scholarship recipient students. The sample of this study was 178 students taken from a population of 630 students using the Cochran sampling technique. Data collected through questionnaires in the form of tests that are analyzed descriptively. The results of the study indicate that the financial literacy of students receiving the Bidikmisi Scholarship in the Teacher Training and Education Faculty of the University of Riau is in the literate category with the percentage of correct answers 64.61%.

Bodyweight training using Tabata method is used as an alternative to keep physical fitness in a short duration. The research on the effectiveness of bodyweighty training using Tabata method to improve physical fitness of new students of 2016-2017 academic year in Sport Coaching Education Department, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of PGRI Adibuana Surabaya. The purpose of this research is to give students solution to  improve and maintain their physical fitness condition that they can perform daily activities maximally. This is an experimental research using one groups pre-test - post-test design, where pretest is given before treatment and posttest after the treatment. The instruments of this research are; MFT (Multistage Fitness Test) to know VO2 max, and test of endurance and muscle strength including: (1) sit up and pull up test; (2) grip strength test, used to measure the hand muscles; (3) back dynamometer, used to measure the back muscles strength; and (4) leg dynamometer, used to measure leg muscle strength.The data analysis technique uses t-test. T-test statistical analysis is conducted to find out whether there is a significant improvement in bodyweight training using Tabata method to improve  new students’ physical fitness in 2016-2017 academic year. The result of the research shows that Ho (Null hypothesis) is  accepted, with score of -6,99192 <2,04523. The score of Fobserved is -6,99192 in which Critical score of two-tail (t-table) is 2.04523. Thus, it shows that Ho (Null hypothesis) is accepted, meaning bodyweight training using Tabata method is effective to improve physical fitness of sport coaching education department students in faculty of teacher training and education, University of PGRI Adibuana Surabaya. Therefore, it can be concluded that bodyweight training using Tabata method can improve physical fitness of sport coaching education department students in faculty of teacher training and education, university of PGRI Adibuana Surabaya. ABSTRAK Bodyweight training dengan metode tabata digunakan sebagai alternatif untuk aktifitas fisik agar kebugaran jasmani terjaga tanpa harus menggunakan durasi waktu yang panjang. Penelitian tentang efektifitas latihan bodyweighty training dengan menggunakan metode tabata untuk meningkatkan kebugaran jasmani dilakukan pada mahasiswa baru angkatan 2016-2017 Pendidikan Kepelatihan Olahraga, Fakultas Keguruan Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas PGRI Adibuana Surabaya. Melalui penelitian ini  diharapkan mampu memaksimalkan dan sekaligus memberi solusi kepada mahasiswa untuk dapat selalu melakukan aktifitas fisik agar dapat meningkatkan dan menjaga kondisi kebugaran jasmani sehingga mahasiswa mampu melakukan aktifitas sehari-hari dengan maksimal dan lebih berkualitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan eksperimen dengan desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu one groups pretest-posttest design, desain penelitian yang terdapat pretest sebelum diberi perlakuan dan posttest setelah diberi perlakuan. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu: MFT (Multistage Fitness Test) untuk mengetahui VO2Max, tes daya tahan dan kekuatan otot meliputi: (1). tes  sit up, pull up, (2). Grip strength tes, digunakan untuk mengukur otot-otot tangan, (3). back dynamometer,digunakan untuk mengukur kekuatan otot punggung, (4). Leg dynamometer, digunakan untuk mengukur kekuatan otot tungkai. Teknik analisisi data menggunakan Uji t. Analisis statistik dengan Uji t dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat peningkatan yang segnifikan efektifitas latihan bodyweight training dengan menggunakan metode tabata untuk meningkatkan kebugaran jasmani mahasiswa baru angkatan Tahun 2016-2017 Pendidikan Kepelatihan Olahraga FKIP Universitas PGRI Adibuana Surabaya. Setelah dilakukan analisis data maka hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa Ho diterima, hal itu dikarena -6,99192 < 2,04523, maka Ho diterima.Kesimpulan yang didapat pada tabel di atas adalah t Stat adalah Fh (F hitung) yaitu -6,99192 dengan t Critical two-tail (t-tabel) yaitu 2,04523. Data di atas menunjukkan bahwa Ho diterima, artinya latihan bodyweight dengan metode Tabata efektif untuk meningkatkan kebugaran jasmani Mahasiswa PKO FKIP Universitas PGRI Adibuana Surabaya. Berdasasrkan hasil analisis data dan pembahasan maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa, latihan bodyweight dengan metode Tabata dapat meningkatkan kebugaran jasmani Mahasiswa PKO FKIP Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya.

<p>The article is aimed at investigating the correlation between extroversion personality and vocabulary mastery toward speaking skill of the fourth semester students of English Education Department, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Sebelas Maret University in the academic year of 2012/2013; both partially and simultaneously. The method of this study is correlational research. The population of the study is all of the fourth semester students while the sample is 30 students taken by simple random sampling technique. The technique used to analyze the data are simple, multiple correlation, and regression by using microsoft excel. The results of the study show that there is a positive correlation between extroversion personality and vocabulary mastery toward speaking skill both partially and simultaneously. The positive correlation indicates that extroversion personality and vocabulary mastery tend to go up or to go down together with speaking skill.</p>
