The overall development of technology has also contributed to the development of multimedia technology and its greater application in education. The curriculum cannot be viewed separately in relation to the changes taking place in modern society and in relation to its technological progress. Teaching methods, techniques and tools are constantly changing and in modern pedagogy they are more efficient and stimulating for the acquisition of knowledge. In traditional teaching, the role of teachers and students differs significantly, the teacher has a dominant role of lecturer, while students have a passive role in the process of acquiring knowledge. Teaching conceived in this way changed with the development of technology, because the teacher is no longer the only source of knowledge and information, and students are not passive objects that absorb that knowledge. Our goal is to review the importance and efficiency of multimedia education by reviewing the relevant literature. As first, we will try to define the concept of multimedia and analyze the theoretical basis of multimedia education, as well as its application in teaching. We start from the assumption that since technology simplifies functioning in general, it contributes to simplifying and improving the education process.

The spread of information technology has changed the role of language teachers considerably. Being a good educator and an expert in their field are not enough anymore, but teachers are expected to be modern, which means, to possess the ability to design interactive classes (often by using digital tools) and use teaching methods that engage students in a creative way. Today it is a general requirement for teachers to know their way around technology and to possess the know-how of implementing it in a way that fosters language learning. To this purpose teachers need to take into account all facets of technology use, including the advantages and disadvantages of technology-mediated tasks, their usefulness for language learning (e.g. if they are related to the topic of the lesson, are challenging enough for students), helpful resources for students, etc. Technology is regarded as a supplementary instrument to traditional teaching methods that can impact students’ motivation to learn in a positive way, provided it is used for activities that are in line with their needs and expectations. Task-based activities are considered to be especially useful in this regard, allowing students to practice their language skills in an authentic context and also develop creative thinking and problem solving abilities. Web 2.0 technologies (e.g. software programs for creating quizzes and polls, language learning websites, chat programs, wikis, etc.) offer a variety of valuable resources both for activities in the classroom and for practice at home.

The more typical one is the separation of theory and practice, which does not meet the current society's requirements for computer talents. . The application of project teaching method to computer teaching can effectively make up for the shortcomings of traditional teaching methods, effectively improve students' comprehensive ability, and greatly improve the efficiency and quality of college computer talent training. This article discusses the role of project teaching method in computer teaching in colleges and universities from multiple angles, and proposes the practical strategy of project teaching method in computer teaching.

The development of social networks and universal digitalization have led to widespread changes in society and in all spheres of activity, including tourism. The growing popularity of information platforms containing content created by travelers has determined the vector of scientific research towards the dominant role of social networks at the stage of the travel planning process. The increased impact of social networks as the main source of tourist information determines the tourist location, place and type of residence. As a rule, the choice of potential tourists is determined by interesting stories, colorful landscapes, reviews, formed public opinion and other content broadcast on the network by users. The article defines the role of social networks (travel blogs, forums) in modern society. It is shown that social networks have replaced travel agents, GPS-numerous maps and guidebooks, and the Instagram feed – a photo album. The authors conclude that modern travel has completely moved to the digital environment and now it is almost impossible to imagine a trip without posts on social networks and an endless stream of recommendations in the comments. The article pays special attention to the role of Instagram in the modern development of tourism, including negative aspects that have a disastrous impact on the industry.

The author tries to answer the question: how to teach by art in the context of new, connective trends in education. On the basis of her pedagogical experience and conducted research, she describes the effectiveness of education consisting in combining different subjects and activities in creative action, especially at the level of development of a small child. Creative education and learning through art nowadays replace academic teaching methods, and in this light the role of the teacher is changing signifi cantly; the teacher becomes a guide showing ways to acquire knowledge and creates the conditions for acquiring various skills through real experience. Preliminary results of experimental research conducted together with the educative staff in the Crèches Complex in Warsaw [Zespół Żłobków Warszawy] show the sense of introducing education by art from an early age. Nurturing creative attitudes of children and carers in the education process positively affects the overall aesthetic environment of education.

In precision manufacturing processes surface integrity is of the utmost importance for the performance and life-cycle of the final products. An important aspect of surface integrity is associated with residual stresses induced in the workpiece during machining. According to the relevant literature, tool rake angle plays an important role on the features of residual stresses, regarding their magnitude and distribution within the workpiece. In this paper, numerical investigations with the use of the finite elements method are presented that allow the evaluation of the influence of the tool rake angle on residual stresses for the case of hard turning of stainless steel. The investigation is performed in a wide range of positive and negative rake angles. Numerical results verify the dominant role of tool rake angle on the residual stresses. The proposed models can be used for the a priori evaluation of the characteristics of compressive stresses that are considered favorable for the produced components.

Pre-service teachers’ limited understanding toward learner autonomy affects how they develop their own and their students’ autonomy. Therefore, this study aimed to reveal: (1) the pre-service teachers’ perception on the role of the teachers and students in learner autonomy; (2) the pre-service teachers’ activity on their own learner autonomy as a learner in teacher training school. 25 respondents were surveyed to acquire their perception. It was found that the pre-service teachers assumed that the teachers should hold the dominant role and be responsible to the learning results. Not only to that, the pre-service teachers still focused on exam-oriented activity; learning only from material given by the teacher in order to pass the exam. Due to that perception, their autonomous learning did not properly develop, as they prefer teacher-centered method. To deal with these findings, the pre-service teachers should not orientate on passing the exam, but rather on the progress as learning is a process not only the result.

Keywords: Learner Autonomy, Pre-Service Teachers, Perception
