Abstract Production ramp-up can be a tricky exercise, with a repertoire of challenges and surprises, which can threaten the proposed percentage of success. These challenges largely stem from paucity of data, change in reservoir dynamics, impact of unauthorized third-party activities and the compliment of skill sets/experience in the team. In addition, reservoir models are in some cases, ineffective tools for reservoir management and prediction. This is especially true in assets that are heavily bunkered by crude oil thieves and in geologically complex reservoirs with very few wells. Therefore, models must be updated with recent data and new understanding, to remain useful and accurate. Of great importance to a successful production ramp-up effort is assembling an integrated team of experienced sub-surface professionals and field executors. Unfortunately, in some teams and companies, the position and opinions of Geologists are often overlooked, resulting in mixed outcomes. Geologists do not only think in "millions of years" but can add value and contribute significantly to the overall project objective. This paper explores and explains the role of a geologist, as part of an integrated asset management team, in the successful ramp-up of production from 45KOPD to about 80KOPD, without drilling a single well or executing any rig activity. It also showcases some work methodologies adopted in the evaluation of candidate wells and the power inherent in adopting an integrated subsurface approach.

Kata kunci: pengelolaan aset, kinerja tim pengurus aset, kepuasan pengguna aset  ABSTRACTThe level of economic growth in our country is very dependent on the size of the Government's State Budget (APBN). The APBN is a driving force for economic growth where the government allocates its budget to realize programs that have been designed in order to prosper the people by providing employment, providing and building facilities and infrastructure and infrastructure, providing education and health and human development services and financing the implementation of tasks and functions government through Ministries / Institutions. Abstract number: 1141175 Chevron Thailand commenced using a form of the Incident Management System (ICS) for response to emergency incidents and conducted ICS training and hosted a large scale oil spill response exercise in 2017 and 2018 to increase Crisis Management Team (CMT), Asset Management Team (AEMT) and On-site Response Team (ORT) competency and team readiness, including maintaining relationships with organizations that provide emergency response support i.e. Thai government agencies, association and contractors. On 23 June 2018, 12 members of a Thai boys soccer team along with their coach became trapped in a cave in northern Thailand when flood waters cut them off from the entrance. Chevron Thailand Management in Bangkok was contacted by the US Embassy Bangkok requesting Chevron Thailand to assist with providing personnel and resources for the rescue operations. Separately, the Thai Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) also called for industry support in the rescue mission. This paper will present details of how Chevron Thailand utilized their preparedness training using ICS in responding to risks within Chevron Thailand's operations to take a leading role in assisting the Royal Thai Governments rescue of the 13 trapped soccer team members. The paper will also show how collaboration with Government officials in Company training and exercise events lead to not only a good working relationship but also better knowledge of the capabilities that Chevron Thailand can bring to the table in responding to any emergency incident.

Enterprise asset management (EAM) systems are used by asset owners and/or operators to manage the maintenance of their physical assets. These assets, including equipment, facilities, vehicles, and infrastructure, need maintenance to sustain their operations. An EAM system provides the means to have less unplanned downtime and extended asset longevity, which offers clear business benefits that improve the profit and loss statement and balance sheet. Particularly for capital-intensive industries, like drilling and exploration, the failure of on-time delivery of critical equipment or processes is disruptive and costs nonproductive time and customer satisfaction. Organizations understand these issues and employ an appropriate asset management system to engineer their asset maintenance and management. An EAM system is needed to manage the people, assets/equipment, and processes. EAMs are used to plan, optimize, execute, and track the needed maintenance activities with associated priorities, skills, materials, tools, and information. Similarly, nondestructive testing (NDT) is used as a tool for integrity assessment of assets in drilling and exploration. The main advantage of using NDT is that the item’s intended use or serviceability is not affected. The selection of a specific technique should be based on knowledge and skills that include design, material processing, and material evaluation. Validating the purpose of this paper, we emphasize the importance of optimizing the asset utilization and serviceability to enhance overall efficiency by integrating EAM software that manages assets, the operation management system (OMS) controlling the processes, and asset inspection management systems (AIMSs).
