Global challenges posed by climate change and environmental deterioration are increasingly driving entrepreneurship with sustainable entrepreneurial intention as a key driver in predicting entrepreneurial activities. Together with experience, the environmental values of an entrepreneur are vital for sustainable entrepreneurial intention. However, the extent to which experience is a key factor to start up a sustainable enterprise is still rather unclear. To study the role of experience, we derive from the theory of planned behaviour three factors (personal attitude, social norm and self-efficacy) to examine their impact on environmental values and sustainable entrepreneurial intention. Based on a meta-analysis, the overall directions and effect intensity of the different factors in this relationship can be investigated. We develop a structural equation model to explore the mechanism behind the interaction between the different variables. We utilize information from 37 scientific articles using 40 empirical samples, 117 effect sizes and 192,015 observations. We found that environmental values are indeed positively related to a sustainable entrepreneurial intention. Furthermore, the relationship between environmental values and sustainable entrepreneurial intention is moderated by experience, as well as personal attitude, social norms and self-efficacy. In addition, environmental values are more positively related to the intention to set up a sustainable venture for entrepreneurs with low-experience compared to those entrepreneurs with high-experience. For policy makers and managers, it becomes important to stimulate environmental values to promote sustainable entrepreneurial intentions in order to stimulate the growth of sustainable enterprises. By enhancing these three factors, sustainable entrepreneurial behaviour can be facilitated by increasing entrepreneurs’ sustainable intention.

PurposeThe purpose of the paper is to investigate the influence of personality traits, individual factors and theory of planned behaviour (TPB) components (personal attitude, subjective norms and perceived behavioural control) on entrepreneurial intentions of university students. The study further aims to determine which factors have a higher influence on the entrepreneurial intentions of the students.Design/methodology/approachThe data was collected using an online survey from 164 students studying in universities in Vietnam. The study used confirmatory factor analysis and hierarchical regression to analyse the data.FindingsResults suggested that educational support has no impact on entrepreneurial intentions but individual factors such as self-efficacy, risk propensity and need for power and all the TPB components influenced entrepreneurial intentions. The TPB components had a higher influence on entrepreneurial intentions of students as compared to individual factors.Originality/valueOnly a few studies have been conducted to determine the strength of factors affecting entrepreneurial intensions of the students. This study demonstrates that TPB components have the highest influence on entrepreneurial intentions. Moreover, the study introduces an independent variable, need for power which is rarely used in any such studies and this adds a new component to the already existing research framework and in academic literature.

Palliative care competencies at the pediatric resident training level expand learned knowledge into behavior. The objective of this study was to investigate mode of palliative care education delivery preferred by pediatric residents and to report on participatory approach to resident palliative care curriculum design. A one-hour monthly palliative care curriculum was designed and implemented in a participatory manner with 20 pediatric residents at a free-standing Midwestern children’s hospital. Outcome measures included pediatric residents’ personal attitude and perceived training environment receptivity before and after implementation of a palliative care competency-based curriculum. An 18-item survey utilizing Social Cognitive Theory Constructs was administered at baseline and after palliative care curriculum implementation (2017–2018 curricular year). Pediatric residents prioritized real case discussions in group format (16/20) over other learning formats. Topics of highest interest at baseline were: discussing prognosis and delivering bad news (weighted average 12.9), pain control (12.3), goals of care to include code status (11.1), and integrative therapies (10.7). Summary of ordinal responses revealed improvement in self-assessment of personal attitude toward palliative care and training environment receptivity to palliative care domains after year-long curriculum implementation. Curricular approach which is attentive to pediatric residents’ preferred learning format and self-assessment of their behaviors within their care setting environment may be beneficial in competency-based primary palliative training.

The Covid-19 outbreak and the enactment of restrictions on community activities have had many impacts, one of which is the change in teaching methods from offline learning or face-to-face activities to online learning or distance learning. These changes can affect the learning process, especially subjects related to business practices, such as entrepreneurship. In online learning, several factors contribute to the successful delivery of online courses. However, little is known about the impact of these factors on Indonesian students' interest in entrepreneurship. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to examine the effect of personal attitude and e-learning on interest in entrepreneurship in the Covid-19 pandemic era. Data was collected through an online survey of 190 students who were taking entrepreneurship courses at selected universities in Yogyakarta. Data collected through online surveys were analyzed using Smart Partial Least Square (SmartPLS) 3.0. The results of this study found that interest in entrepreneurship is significantly influenced by personal attitude and e-learning. This study also found that perceived learning was not able to moderate the effect of e-learning on entrepreneurial interest.

The developments of the penitentiary system and the ever-growing needs for humanization in this area pose a number of new tasks to penitentiary institutions, which are generally aimed at creating conditions for acquiring skills for the offenders’ resocialization. This requirement includes guarantees for the realization of the right to education in the penitentiary system and the provision of continuing education. From this point of view, it is also necessary to study the personal attitude of convicts towards education. Accordingly, this article presents some of the results of the author's research conducted in the penitentiary institutions of the Republic of Armenia. The results relate to attitudes and beliefs about education in two main areas (learning purpose and attitudes, learning process and courses)

Cultural-historical, biological, physiological and psychological aspects to the study of motherhood are singled out. The main content of scientific views on the formation of the phenomenon of motherhood is generalized. In modern education, a personal attitude towards a teacher defines their mission in education. Equally important is an understanding of one’s subjectivity as a human being and the importance of others in life-long learning, more widely perceived as the growth of humanity. The role of teachers and their educational mission are faced with a number of dynamic dysfunctions, which effectively challenge their ability of achieving teaching career goals, especially through the prism of leadership within education.
