Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to review the existing literature on determinants that influence organizational performance and to develop a framework that could be beneficial for leaders. Design/methodology/approach – This paper uses a systematic review of articles on the factors that influence organizational performance. The purpose of this systematic review is to collect and summarize all empirical evidence from literature that fits the context of this study. Findings – The findings of the study have been weaved together in a proposed framework for the role of cognitive, emotional, and social competencies on leadership competencies that in turn influence both employee and organizational performance. Research limitations/implications – This paper is a literature review, a framework on the determinants of organizational performance has been proposed but has not yet been tested empirically. Practical implications – Leaders can leverage the results of this study to enhance their leadership competencies for the purpose of improving the performance on both individual employee and organizational levels. Originality/value – There are few research-based studies on the determinants of organizational performance. This paper has identified key variables that play a significant role in helping organizations perform effectively.

This study aims to provide a systematic review regarding the consequences of knowledge hiding in the organization by ascertaining, synthesizing and evaluating theoretical, methodological and empirical dimensions of other works in the field. Design/methodology/approach: applying systematic review methodology to present the current consequences of knowledge hiding behavior in organizations. Findings: all of the studies indicated that knowledge hiding behavior hurts organizational performance and develop unhealthy working environments. Limitations/ implications: this systematic review is designed only to present a conceptual synthesis of existing works. A meta-analysis to an empirical study to obtain a more detailed framework is encouraged. Originality/value: this study contributes to organizational behavior literature by identifying the consequences of knowledge hiding, presenting the different methodological frameworks used to establish the relationships between knowledge hiding and their consequences, and to introduce the gaps for future researches.

The growing concerns surrounding the precarious state of the biosphere have triggered organizations to develop and implement innovations that curb environmental degradation (eco-innovation). However, eco-innovation is a risky proposition for organizations and their stakeholders, due to uncertainty of outcome. Despite the high investment risk of eco-innovation, the literature that assesses eco-innovation outcomes from an organizational performance perspective is scant. Thus, this paper uses a systematic approach to review eco-innovation and performance literature. The eco-innovation and performance literature reviewed in this paper is sourced from the Scopus and Web of Science (WoS) scientific databases. Results from this systematic review suggest that the capital market stakeholder group—an essential stakeholder group—has received little attention in the eco-innovation and performance literature. This is alarming, as this stakeholder group is expected to act in the best interests of the organization—as well as the other stakeholders—especially during strategy formulation and implementation. This paper also finds that the resource-based view and stakeholder theory are frequently utilized in explaining eco-innovation. However, the natural resource-based view is least utilized, despite growing environmental pressures. A multi-theoretical perspective can help to overcome the limitations of one theory, as well as help to unearth additional organizational factors which could potentially catalyze the eco-innovation and performance relationship.

The purpose of this article is to provide a systematic review of leadership and Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) theory. We have analyzed 139 studies that study the relationship between leadership and Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) theory. Based on our analysis, we highlight ways forward. First, research designs can be improved by eliminating endogeneity problems. Regarding leadership concepts, proper measurements should be used. Furthermore, we point toward new theory building by highlighting three main ways in which leadership may affect employees, namely by: (1) directly influencing job demands and resources, (2) influencing the impact of job demands and resources on well-being; and (3) influencing job crafting and self-undermining. We hope this review helps researchers and practitioners analyze how leadership and JD-R theory can be connected, ultimately leading to improved employee well-being and organizational performance.

Malaysia's biomass industry has a great potential to contribute to the national circular economy that offers a new stream of wealth creation to the nation. Nevertheless, there appears to be a scarcity of research that dwells into the organizational performance in the biomass industry. Therefore, the present study examined the impact of organizational culture, innovation resources, and human resources on organizational performance. The pivotal contribution of this study is to highlight how these factors/resources influence organizational performance. This study delves into organizational performance in the biomass industry through dynamic capabilities theory and resource-based view (RBV) theory.

The paper is a systematic review of 15 research articles published on the transformational leadership practice impact on organizational performance in westerns and non-western context in year 2019. To navigate the future direction and vision to people for accomplishment of their goals there is always a need of leadership. This review study aims to determine that how the leaders can guide their followers effectively and enhance the performance of organization. In environmental diversity, where people contributed different capabilities and interests the control is an integrate part to manage them, the transformational leadership to which we are concerned with is very important and best suited in in such environment as it completely involves the employee involvement. The factors that are influencing the organizational performance include satisfaction, motivation, organizational commitment along with involvement collectively linked with transformational leadership. The importance of transformational leadership shows by the dynamics associated with the leaders having this leadership style who shared the vision for the future and increase the awareness of employees and acceptance of shared purpose and mission. They always inspire the subordinates for acceptance of a share purpose and mission, and inspire them to go beyond self-interest for the good terms of the team work. Transformational leadership style is important for organizational performance directly or indirectly linked with the employee performance. If the leaders in the organization having transformational leadership style, always try to update and positively enhance the employee’s competency. Review of research paper reveal that transformational leadership have significant positive impact on overall organization performance.

Firm’s performance has been well affected by engagement of the employees with their work. An employee who is engaged with his work is one who is taking interest in the work of the organization and showing some sort of initiatives in the benefits of the organization. There are total 17 articles were published from 2014 to 2019 and all of these are presented in this paper for systematic review on “impact of employee engagement on Organizational performance”. These articles revealed the existence of positive linkage between employee engagement with work and Organizational performance. As the total organizational outcomes while individual well-being is, doing the welfare of individual employee can be defined as Organizational Performance. Review of 17 articles from Google scholar interpret that interest in the topic of employee engagement with their work and the impact of it has increased potentially during the last few years and remains a productive area for the academic research in the coming years. We have found 17 articles purely related to our variables from Google Scholar. Systematic review of articles shows methodology of the articles, journals name in which the articles are published also survey type of the articles. Study of the articles could help in providing a proper guideline to implement the practical application in regard to increase employee engagement.

Purpose The purpose of this systematic review was to identify parent education procedures implemented in intervention studies focused on expressive verbal communication for nonverbal (NV) or minimally verbal (MV) children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Parent education has been shown to be an essential component in the habilitation of individuals with ASD. Parents of individuals with ASD who are NV or MV may particularly benefit from parent education in order to provide opportunities for communication and to support their children across the life span. Method ProQuest databases were searched between the years of 1960 and 2018 to identify articles that targeted verbal communication in MV and NV individuals with ASD. A total of 1,231 were evaluated to assess whether parent education was implemented. We found 36 studies that included a parent education component. These were reviewed with regard to (a) the number of participants and participants' ages, (b) the parent education program provided, (c) the format of the parent education, (d) the duration of the parent education, (e) the measurement of parent education, and (f) the parent fidelity of implementation scores. Results The results of this analysis showed that very few studies have included a parent education component, descriptions of the parent education programs are unclear in most studies, and few studies have scored the parents' implementation of the intervention. Conclusions Currently, there is great variability in parent education programs in regard to participant age, hours provided, fidelity of implementation, format of parent education, and type of treatment used. Suggestions are made to provide both a more comprehensive description and consistent measurement of parent education programs.

Purpose We sought to critically analyze and evaluate published evidence regarding feasibility and clinical potential for predicting neurodevelopmental outcomes of the frequency-following responses (FFRs) to speech recordings in neonates (birth to 28 days). Method A systematic search of MeSH terms in the Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied HealthLiterature, Embase, Google Scholar, Ovid Medline (R) and E-Pub Ahead of Print, In-Process & Other Non-Indexed Citations and Daily, Web of Science, SCOPUS, COCHRANE Library, and ClinicalTrials.gov was performed. Manual review of all items identified in the search was performed by two independent reviewers. Articles were evaluated based on the level of methodological quality and evidence according to the RTI item bank. Results Seven articles met inclusion criteria. None of the included studies reported neurodevelopmental outcomes past 3 months of age. Quality of the evidence ranged from moderate to high. Protocol variations were frequent. Conclusions Based on this systematic review, the FFR to speech can capture both temporal and spectral acoustic features in neonates. It can accurately be recorded in a fast and easy manner at the infant's bedside. However, at this time, further studies are needed to identify and validate which FFR features could be incorporated as an addition to standard evaluation of infant sound processing evaluation in subcortico-cortical networks. This review identifies the need for further research focused on identifying specific features of the neonatal FFRs, those with predictive value for early childhood outcomes to help guide targeted early speech and hearing interventions.
