AbstractIn this paper, the problems of high refrigerant line differential pressure and uneven distribution of cold energy in cold box regulation under C3-MR process are studied. Five reasons are predicted by engineering performance. Using gas chromatography experiment and grey system pure mathematics analysis, it is determined that the main causes of the problem are unreasonable distribution ratio of each group of mixed refrigerants and disordered latent heat of vaporization of refrigerants. Furthermore, the grey system model is used to study: 1. grey relation analysis model shows that the correlation degree of T3 temperature measuring point is 0.8552, which is the only main factor. The abnormal working condition is determined by the project to be caused by incorrect proportion of N2 components. 2. According to GM(1,N) model, the driving term of T3 temperature measuring point is 3.8304, which needs to be supplemented with N2 component to eliminate the problem. 3. After adding N2 to 10% (mol component), abnormal working conditions disappeared. The GM(1,N) model is used again to verify that the difference of driving results is small, the average relative error is 24.91%, and the accuracy of the model is in compliance.

This paper presents a sensitivity analysis method of temperature measuring point of the machine tool spindle based on grey system theory. The initial finite element analysis (FEA) is conducted on the spindle model to determine the temperature distribution of the spindle model and ascertain the resultant structural deformation, and eight nodes of the spindle model are selected as temperature measuring points. By means of grey system theory, temperature measuring points of machine tool spindle model are analyzed and then the effects of the different temperature measuring point on the spindle axial deformation are conducted. Finally, the validity of this sensitivity analysis method is verified by conducting the theoretical analysis and developing the linear estimate equation. The analysis results show that this sensitivity analysis method can effectively determine the thermal sensitivity of temperature measuring points, ensure the accuracy of the thermal compensation model and eliminate the coupling problems.

Abstract Background: The continuous increase in total health expenditure has become a social issue of common concern in most countries. In China, the total health expenditure still maintains a fast growth trend which is much higher than the growth of the country’s economy, although the new health system reform had been going on for 8 years until 2017. The aims of the current study were thus to investigate the main driving factors affecting total health expenditure and to establish a prediction model. Methods: Gray system theory was employed to explore the correlation degree between total health expenditure and 13 hot spots from the fields of economy, population, health service utilization, and public policy using national data in China from 2009 to 2017. Besides, a prediction model was established using the main driving factors among the 13 hot spots. Results: The main driving factors related to the changes of total health expenditure were public policy (ranked first), health development, economics, and aging, which correlation degrees were more than 0.7. The average error of the GM(1,7) model was 3.17%, the correlation degree, β , between the predicted simulation sequence and the original sequence was 0.78, the variance ratio, C, was 0.138, and the probability of residuals, P, was 1.0000. Therefore, the prediction model of total health expenditure with 6 main driving factors was excellent. Conclusion: The paper finds that since the new health system reform in China, government policies and social invest have contributed greatly to reducing the burden of health expenditure. However, the development of economic and the increase in the elderly population, which are main driving factors, will increase the total health expenditure, so improving the efficiency of investment and providing the precautionary health care and nursing for the elderly are crucial. Besides, the grey system theory had a good application in the field of health economics and policy.

Multi-attribute decision-making(MADM) strategy has been proposed to handle uncertain decision-making problems. The most extensively used models of grey system theory is grey relational analysis (GRA). This strategy was flourished by Chinese Professor J. Deng. This strategy also known as Deng's grey incidence analysis model. GRA uses a generic concept of intelligence. It describes any circumstance as no information as black and perfect information as white. Nevertheless, these idealized situations appear in real-world problems. In this chapter, the authors extend GRA strategy for multi-attribute decision making in trapezoidal neutrosophic number (TrNN) environment. To develop a GRA strategy in trapezoidal neutrosophic number (TrNN) environment, the authors use score function and accuracy function. Then Hamming distance for two trapezoidal neutrosophic number (TrNN) are also described. The authors solve a numerical problem to explain the pertinence of the proposed strategy. Lastly, they provide a comparison between VIKOR strategy with existing strategy.

In recent years, the laboratory safety situation in Colleges and universities has improved, but the safety situation is still severe, so it is urgent to carry out relevant research. Based on the research basis of previous literature, this paper extracts the causes of laboratory accidents in Colleges and universities in the past six years, uses the grey system theory to carry out correlation analysis, sorts the correlation degree of influencing factors of laboratory safety behavior, and through empirical analysis, the organization system, safety education, professional safety, laboratory environment management, foundation safety show a decreasing relationship in the influencing factors of laboratory safety. On the basis of this conclusion, the safety management path of related laboratories is proposed: Improve the laboratory organization and management system; carry out safety education regularly; strict professional operation process; orderly laboratory environment; effective basic safety management. These path studies have positive practical significance for laboratory safety management.

The relationship between teacher-student matching and knowledge innovation of college students is constrained by multiple factors. Considering the multiple constraints, this paper explores deep into the influence of teacher-student matching on knowledge innovation of college students. Firstly, the internal correlation between the two factors was identified through analysis. Next, the detailed contents of the two factors were examined, and used to set up an analysis model to improve knowledge innovation of college students based on teacher-student matching. Grey system theory and analytic hierarchy process (AHP) were implemented in the modeling process. Finally, several strategies were put forward to promote knowledge innovation among college students, from the perspective of teacher-student matching. The research results provide a strong support to knowledge innovation in colleges.

The core category of cultural industry determination is an important research topic for decision-making in the cultural industry development. However, because of the insufficiency of statistics data and the difference in measurement, objective analysis on category correlation of cultural industry is difficult. This paper presents a cultural industry category correlation model with the empirical analysis using ISM (Interpretative Structural Modeling Method). Based on experts’ judgment and knowledge, this approach can generate the reachability matrix and construct the directed digraph to analyze the correlation degree of different culture industry categories. Through this analysis model, some convincing recommendations are also provided in the end.

Grey system theory is a mathematical technique used to predict data with known and unknown characteristics. The aim of our research is to forecast the future amount of technical reserves (outstanding claims reserve, loss ratio fluctuations reserve and unearned premiums reserve) up to 2029/2030. This study applies the Grey Model GM(1,1) using data obtained from the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority (EFSA) over the period from 2005/2006 to 2015/2016 for non-life Egyptian insurance market. We found that the predicted amounts of outstanding claims reserve and loss ratio fluctuations reserve are highly significant than the unearned premiums reserve according to the value of Posterior Error Ratio (PER).
