Article presents results of study on possibility of increasing the efficiency of drilling directional straight sections of wells using screw downhole motors (SDM) with a combined method of drilling with rotation of drilling string (DS). Goal is to ensure steady-state operation of SDM with simultaneous rotation of DS by reducing the amplitude of oscillations with adjusting the parameters of drilling mode on the basis of mathematical modeling for SDM – DS system. Results of experimental study on determination of extrema distribution of lateral and axial oscillations of SDM frame depending on geometrical parameters of gerotor mechanism and modes ensuring stable operation are presented.Approaches to development of a mathematical model and methodology are conceptually outlined that allow determining the range of self-oscillations for SDM – DS system and boundaries of rotational and translational wave perturbations for a heterogeneous rod with an installed SDM at drilling directional straight sections of well. This mathematical model of SDM – DS system's dynamics makes it possible to predict optimal parameters of directional drilling mode that ensure stable operation of borehole assembly.

Foreign and domestic experience has shown the prospects of using heterogeneous multilayer armor instead of homogeneous. Studies have shown that the method of explosion welding for low-plastic and high-strength steels has limitations on the thickness of the thrown plate of 10-12 mm, which allows us to recommend it for the production of multilayer composite armor. The combined technology (explosion welding + hot batch rolling) provides a three-layer armor plate with an intermediate layer of plastic steel with high strength properties and a defect-free joint structure. The introduction of layers of plastic metals into the composition of multi-layer armor makes it possible to increase the armor resistance. The combined technology can be recommended for the production of wear-resistant and armored bimetal.

The study presents the results of remote robotic laser welding of advanced high strength Docol® 1200 M martensitic steel. One mm thick samples were welded in a lap joint configuration using a special clamping system. Welding was done using a continuous-wave (CW) fibre laser with a constant welding power of 300 W and constant focus diameter Ø 1.8 mm. Welding was done using 12 different welding speeds in the range from 0.15 to 1 m/min, whereas the inclination angle was kept constant at 0°. The influence of various welding speeds and linear heat inputs during welding on microstructural changes were examined by the occurrence of acicular and allotriomorphic ferrite or martensite. Results revealed big influence of the clamping system on the accumulation of the laser beam energy, heat sink and consequently weld size and geometry, as well as its microstructure and joint strength. Tensile-shear strength, microstructure and hardness results confirmed laser power of 300 W and 0.6 m/min welding speed as the optimal parameters, at which a martensitic structure was obtained in the weld. The width of the heat affected zone (HAZ) in this case is 1100 μm.

This paper in detail introduces basic principles and technical development process of inspecting the material strength of high performance concrete by rebound method and Ultrasonic-rebound combined method. The strength-inspected curves of high performance concrete in Beijing region are given by using above mentioned two methods. Existing problem that 2.207J rebound device could not be used to inspect the strength of concert at grades 50MPa and above, has been solved. This article is one of the research results in “ Technical specification for strength testing of high strength concrete ”JGJ/T 294-2013 during compiling, which can be used in inspecting the material strength of high strength concrete in Beijing region.

Due to flaws of foamed concrete (e.g. low strength, high shrinkage and easily cracking), a new-type foamed concrete with high-strength and low-shrinkage was prepared using a combination of polypropylene fiber reinforcement and alunite expansive agent compensating shrinkage. Compared to conventional foamed concrete prepared under the same conditions, the modified foamed concrete with the optimal parameters has notable improvements: the 28 d shrinkage falls by 50 %, the compressive strength and flexural strength increase by 21.7 % and 37.5 %, respectively. A model is proposed to explain the mechanism of the co-action of PPF and AEA.

An analysis of the state of the matter of the manufacture of parts such as bodies of revolution has shown that there is a problem of turning processing by turning large, long parts, connected with increasing productivity and processing quality, as well as reducing the costs of turning operations. To solve this problem, the authors propose a resource-saving combined method for treating external cylindrical surfaces by thermal friction turn-milling. Experimental studies were performed on the processing of the outer cylindrical surface using a special friction cutter made of non-instrumental material. The results showed that with thermal friction turn-milling, it is possible to achieve Ra = 1,0 mcm. The process of chip formation was also investigated and the formation of a retarded layer was established, which protects the surface of the friction cutter from wear. Optimum values of cutting conditions for processing by thermal friction turn-milling of steel 30HGSA.
