Increase of the road safety is the main goal in the sphere of transport management. Authors state that the decision-making process should be based on the analysis of statistical data on the violations, traffic reasons of accidents and problem areas. Official statistics of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate is used as an initial information. As a method to determine factors influencing the traffic safety, the so-called Haddon matrix was used. Efficiency of the proposed recommendations is analyzed from the viewpoint of their role in the process of ensuring safety and sustainability of the city transport system.

A cluster analysis of field observation data was performed using the Statistica 12 software, connections were established in the middle of the data set, and the obtained data were organized into certain structures. As a result of the clustering, groups of clusters that have the greatest impact on speed were identified. Determining the hierarchy of factors influencing the speed and safety of the transport process shall improve approaches for modeling traffic flow velocity dependences. Sustainable development, including the consumption of sustainable food, is an issue that is receiving increasing attention in research and policy construction. Thus, complex policies are being created to address these issues, targeting economic, social, and environmental factors. This study aims to provide a macroeconomic overview of the factors that have the potential to influence fruit consumption at a national level, so that proposals can be offered in order to pursue a more sustainable fruit consumption in Romania. In order to carry out the research, two approaches were used: a bibliometric technique, through which the Scopus and Web of Science publications on the supply and consumption of fruits were analyzed, and an econometric approach, through which some of the macroeconomic factors influencing fruit consumption in Romania were identified and assessed. The study highlights the high interest of worldwide researchers in the field and an upward trend in Romanian fruit consumption.

This study examined drivers’ perception of road traffic delay attributes and factors influencing road traffic delay with a view to assessing loss of man hours along Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway. This view translated to policy statements that can tremendously reduce the road traffic delay in the study area. Primary data were collected through questionnaire administration, traffic volume survey and direct field observation while the secondary data were obtained from past relevant journals, textbooks among others. The sample frame evolved from an average of 3 day traffic volume survey, which translated into 17,647 drivers between 7 am – 7 pm in the study area. The sample size was 117 (0.007%) as the purposive sampling technique was adopted. The frequency tables and likert scale outputs were adopted for data analyses.  The study found that most drivers along this road were majorly (75.2%) young educated working adults while the trips made accounted for the concentration of work and after-work trips along this road. The study revealed that traffic delay along the road was largely due to indiscreet use of bus-stops, bad roads condition, drivers’ recklessness with DAI values of 4.70, 3.77 and 3.41 respectively using a 5 Point Likert Scale. This study established that a total of 2,920 ‘man-hours’ was lost annually on this road as the daily accumulated estimate for man hour loss was estimated as 8 hours per day. The strict enforcement and monitoring of proper usage of bus-stops and prompt rehabilitation of bad roads are needed among other recommendations.Key Words: Road Traffic Delay, Drivers’ Perspectives, Man-Hour Loss

The main aim of this study is to find out the demographic variables and their driving factors influencing the environmental responsibility of passenger car users. There are around 73.85 million passenger car was produced (OICA, 2018), and it is forecasted that 2 billion of car expected on the road before the end of 2040. Vehicles are the primary generator of emission per liter of fuel exhausts around 140-210 Co2 /km released in the air. The people who are using the vehicles are to be held responsible for the vulnerability which is resulted because of emission from the tailpipe. According to the Japan Automobile Manufacturer Association (JAMA), 80% of tailpipe emission was released by the vehicle users and the remaining 20% by the vehicle manufacturers. Therefore this paper understands the factors influencing the environmental responsibility of the passenger car users.

Transport pricing has been an actively debated topic in the European Union for a number of years. This debate has been stimulated both by the European Commission policy and by a multitude of national policy initiatives. A central theme in this debate is the issue of the public and (linked to this) political acceptability of pricing measures. Indeed, concerns about acceptability now constitute the most significant single barrier to implementation, especially in the road transport sector. The results of recent research undertaken on behalf of the European Commission into the acceptability of different transport pricing measures to professionals and citizens and the factors influencing their acceptability are reported.

The article analyzes the transport problem of increasing the capacity of the road and reduc-ing delays of vehicles and passengers on the way. There is a need to choose the optimal ratio of in-tersections with the use of technical means of traffic management in the overall structure of the transport hub, taking into account the main elements. The main factors influencing the technical and economic indicators for the construction of intersections of varying complexity are deter-mined. A solution is proposed to optimize the choice of the structure of the transport node, taking into account various ratios by the method of fuzzy sets.

With the development of the times, people's economic level is improving, the urban construction is accelerated, the road, bridge and tunnel construction as the focus of the urban construction scale of construction projects and the construction quantity is also growing. Subsequently, people pay special attention to their quality problems. At the same time, there are many difficulties and technical problems waiting to be solved in the construction process. These difficulties and technical problems are the important factors influencing the quality of tunnel construction. Only strictly and comprehensively control it so that the roads, bridges and tunnels can be well and rapidly developed. Next, the paper will make a comprehensive analysis of the difficulties and technical countermeasures in the construction of road bridge tunnel.

Abstract The portable skid-resistance tester can carry out a wide variety of measurements on the road and in the laboratory. This paper outlines the basic principles underlying the design of the tester and describes the laboratory and field trials conducted during the development of the instrument. The factors influencing its performance are emphasized. In its performance, the instrument behaves as a patterned tire skidding at 30 mph. It is particularly well suited for testing rough-textured surfaces, and readings are independent of gradient, camber, or crossfall on the test surface.
