In the digital era, the success of the professional development of future specialists in the process of obtaining higher education largely depends on their professional orientation (PN). Despite the significant interest in the subject of the study, the problem of identifying the factors that affect PN remains poorly understood. The purpose of the study is to determine the factors of the formation of PN of students enrolled in training and retraining programs, and the features of PN in the digital era. The article reveals the content and structure of the PN of future specialists in the era of digitalization. According to the results of the empirical research, the relationship of students' PN with indicators of life-meaning orientations, motives for choosing a profession and training was revealed; the relationship between students' life-meaning orientations and indicators of motives for choosing a profession and training at the stage of digitalization of education. The factors influencing the personal condition, and the factors of the formation of the personal condition of students, who are trained according to the programs of training and retraining of specialists, have been determined. As a result of an empirical study, it was concluded that a negative impact on the formation of PN is created by factors caused by various life circumstances, lack of independence of decisions in choosing a profession, low reflection of life goals, prospects for the future, rigidity of volitional and personal qualities, internal conflict in the structure of personality relationships, low pleasure training and the like. At the same time, the level of PN is significantly higher among students who receive a second higher education and who understand its importance at the stage of digitalization of education.

Human beings perceive of the outside world by listening and reading skills; he also conveys his emotions, thoughts, dreams and impressions to his opponents with his speaking and writing skills. In other words, listening and reading comprehension, speaking and writing is the ability to explain. For this, developing reading, writing skills in primary school children is important. The relationship between this skills should be well understood and attention should be paid to these skills in education and training. Two levels of education (high school or less and training beyond high school) and nine content scales of the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-2 (MMPI-2) were used to predict employment-related outcomes among a sample of 109 blind adults. It was found that education, anger, cynicism, obsessiveness, and family problems were significant predictors of employability. Furthermore, 80 percent of the employed subjects and 71.4 percent of the unemployed subjects were classified by low self-esteem, education, and cynicism and the underemployed had higher mean scores than the nonunderemployed on cynicism and Type A behavior.

The Renaissance philosopher Giovanni Pico della Mirandola (b. 1463–d. 1494) is best known today for his Oratio de hominis dignitate, a speech often touted as an emblematic expression of the Renaissance. Originally, however, the Oratio was intended to open a debate in Rome where Pico had hoped to dispute his Conclusiones nongentae, a work of nine hundred theses covering a vast array of philosophical, theological, and esoteric topics that Pico had published in late 1486. A papal prohibition by Innocent VIII, however, canceled the planned disputation, and Pico was excommunicated after he authored in 1487 his Apologia, a sharp defense of thirteen of the nine hundred theses that had been identified as doctrinally problematic by an ecclesiastical commission. Pico was only fully rehabilitated in 1493 by the new pope Alexander VI. Pico’s other extant works testify to his wide-ranging interests and training. In addition to studying ancient and scholastic philosophy, Pico learned Hebrew, Aramaic, and Arabic, and he was one of the first to use Kabbalah to support points of Christian doctrine. He had a life-long interest in reconciling philosophers of the past, arguing that the main oppositions between Platonic and Aristotelian metaphysics were simply verbal, and he intended to publish a work titled Concordia Platonis Aristotelisque. He had an early epistolary debate with Ermolao Barbaro on the relationship of philosophy and rhetoric, wrote on metaphysics in De ente et uno, engaged in biblical exegesis in the Heptaplus, and criticized astrology in his longest book, the unfinished Disputationes. Pico enjoyed the protection of Lorenzo de’ Medici and his intellectual contacts included Marsilio Ficino, Angelo Poliziano, and Girolamo Savonarola. Much of Pico’s work was published posthumously in 1496 by his nephew and literary executor, Gianfrancesco Pico della Mirandola. Pico was introduced to an English audience in the early 16th century by Thomas More, who produced an abbreviated English rendering of Gianfrancesco’s biography of his uncle, along with translations of three letters and several short spiritual writings by Pico.

Taman Nasional Sebagau (TNS) or Sebangau National Park has been now striving to provide optimal benefits for the community surrounding its area through productive economic business development program, as it did in one buffer village, namely Sebangau Mulya. This program aims to improve community welfare, and as a form of community involvement in preserving the TNS area. However, the success of the program remains questionable. This study aims, first, to examine the development of productive economic business programs in Sebangau Mulya Village. Second, to analyze the effect of such program on the welfare of villagers. The research sample was 40 villagers who received direct assistance from the program. This figure account for 10% of the villagers. Descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression were used to study the relationship of 7 independent variables, namely facilitators (X1), institutions (X2), human resources capacity (X3), skills and knowledge of human resources (X4), type of productive economic assistance (X5), counseling and training (X6) and supervision (X7) with 1 dependent variable, i.e. community welfare. The results show that the program has been providing positive benefits, marked by the increase of cattle and goats number, compared to those provided by TNS management five years before. In addition, the program has been successfully tying villagers and TNS management in maintaining and managing the area according to the planned agenda. The factors that partially influence the beneficiaries welfare is skills and knowledge (X4), which is amounting to 26.80%. Since the community in carrying out productive economic businesses is in accordance with their skills and knowledge so that they are able to develop ideal businesses with the environmental conditions of Sebangau Mulya Village. Other six factors have no significant effect on villagers’ welfare.

The majority of residents of Wonosalam Subdistrict are farmers who are at high risk of having health problems due to interactions with hazardous materials, such as pesticides. The implementation of occupational safety and health (K3) which is still low triggers the occurrence of accidents and diseases in farmers that have an impact on performance degradation so that it can cause losses. The aim of this study to find out the relationship between farmers 'characteristics and farmers' perceptions in the application of K3 in Wonosalam District, Jombang Regency by using descriptive quantitative methods. Observation variables include age, level of education, training, length of farming, income, land status and land area on perceptions of OHS application. The data used are primary data obtained from 98 farmers using a questionnaire. Analysis of the data used in this study is thecorrelation analysis Spearman Rank. The results showed that the characteristics of farmers associated with farmers' perceptions in applying OSH were the level of education and training. While the characteristics of farmers who are not related to the perception of farmers in the application of OSH are age, length of farming, income, land status and land area.

In this paper, we review systematically the role of problem-based learning (PBL) in developing soft skills in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and other fields of studies. The Systematic Literature Review (SLR) includes the most recent empirical, review, and conceptual studies from TVET and other multiple fields of studies including medicine, humanities, and engineering between the years of 2001 and 2016 collected from four databases. A qualitative method was used to accomplish the systematic review. After the collection of articles, the selected studies were analyzed through thematic analysis. From this review, we concluded that PBL as an instructional approach has a significant role in the development of soft skills among students of various disciplines including TVET; empirical evidence is predominantly conclusive in identifying the acquisitions of various soft skills including communication skills, conflict resolution skills, leadership skills, and interpersonal skills, and finally, several factors might influence the relationship of PBL and soft skills such as duration and process of PBL instruction, role of facilitator, and awareness and training of learners. Moreover, there are fewer number of empirical studies on the role and effects of PBL approach to developing soft skills in TVET.

This chapter deals with the evaluation and identification of professional tourism educational and training competences with the purpose of recognizing the main characteristics of labour capacity in the tourism industry. Tourism is promoted through education, as well as through the development of skills and tools that result in an optimal labour performance during the stages of school training. Moreover, it describes the relationship of knowledge management in the tourism sector that leads to quality in human capital, in addition to professional alignment, in an educational context. As this section focuses on the overview of professional tourism, the following components are considered; the preamble and classification of the tourism industry, the conceptualization of educational evaluation and competence, and concludes with the description and analysis of the works targeted at the evaluation and identification of professional competences in tourism.
