A new method of assessing the quality of the heading workmanship was proposed in this article. The method includes 13 parameters characterizing the quality of excavation performance, namely: the heading breach width, the heading useful height, the heading useful width, the angle of inclination of arch, the horizontal offset of arch (direction), the vertical offset of arch (cancellation), distance between mine roadway support, the arch set overlap length, the tightening torque of clamps screws, development of struts, dadding and the contact of support with rock strata. For each element of the excavation the number of quality points is determined based on by the amount of multiples of the quality statistics QN from the qualifying constant. After adding up the points, the final grade is obtained in the form of the quality category. The conclusion is an example of the evaluation of the quality of heading workmanship according to the developed method.

The changes of tenderness of three green pea varieties with different maturity were studied after Fertileader® Vital fertilizer treatment. The fertilizer treatment caused signifi cant differences in the tenderness of treated plants in every year. After the second measuring time; the treated plants showed better quality than the control ones. The treated varieties kept their tenderness longer due to this foliar fertilizer, the yield have better quality so even better suited to the requirement of canning industry. Use of Fertileader® Vital is of an economic importance because high economic benefi t can be realized in one hectare after Fertileader® Vital treatment. By using this foliar fertilizer 12,840 HUF extra profi ts can be realized by producing green peas of I. quality class instead of yield with II. quality category. This extra profit could increase to 447,840 HUF considering that green peas belong still to the II. quality class after fertilizer treatment when the quality of non-treated plants are no more suitable for the canning industry.

The results of the experiments showed that with an increased density of raw cotton that occurs in the lower layers of the bundle and an increase in its shelf life, an increase in the mass fraction of defects and trash in the fibre is observed. It was found that with an increase in the density of raw cotton more than 250 kg/m3, the mass fraction of defects and weeds in the fibre increases by almost 10 %, the damage to seeds by 6 %, the staple mass length decreases by 3 %, and the proportion of short fibres by 9 %. The increase in the shelf life of the fibre also negatively affects the quality of the fibre and seeds and, most importantly, cotton for grades III–V. An increase in the mass fraction of flaws and trash in the fibre, in turn, affects the unevenness of the yarn and the quality category of the resulting yarn.

Nowadays a viable development of polymer based material as an alternative to the steel mesh material has been increased at a notable amount for providing enough support in the underground roadways. This feasibility study done on the development of using polymer based alternative is related with both of the chemical & physical properties of the selected material. If the polymer alternative has a considerable amount of capability to tolerate all the physical & material constraints equal to or above the normal steel mesh, then the possibility of using polymeric alternatives have been increased at a greater extent. For this reinforcement test, an experiment practice would be done by comparing the mechanical properties of the steel mesh with the polymeric material such as modulus property, elongation-at-break, yield stress etc. After that, a suitable polymer based alternative will be applied for underground roadway support in upcoming days.

The quality of fresh fish will decrease immediately after death. One of the indicators of fish quality is the changes of the gills color. The aim of this research was to determine the changes of red color in the gills of tilapia using image processing as an indicator of fish freshness. The research method used is the Explanatory Research where the independent variable (x) is tilapia which stored at room temperature for 12 hours. The dependent variable (y) was the intensity value of red. The quality of fish could be grouped into several categories, such as high quality, good quality, limit of acceptability and spoilt. The Observation was carried out with a time of 0 hours to 12 hours (4 hour interval). The results showed that storage time affected the deterioration of fresh quality. The high quality category has a red percentage value of 82.18%. Fresh category has a red percentage value of 67.10%. The limit of acceptability category has a value of 38.52% and the spoiltcategory has a red percentage value of 9.92%.

Objective. To provide a current and comprehensive understanding of the cost-effectiveness of DMTs for the treatment of MS by quantitatively evaluating the quality of recent cost-effectiveness studies and exploring how the field has progressed from past recommendations.Methods. We assessed the quality of studies that met our systematic literature search criteria using the Quality of Health Economic Studies validated instrument.Results. Of the 82 studies that met our initial search criteria, we included 22 in this review. Four studies (18%) achieved quality category 2, three studies (14%) achieved quality category 3, and 15 studies (68%) achieved the highest quality category 4. 91% of studies were simulation models. 13 studies (59%) had quality-adjusted life years (QALYs) as the primary outcome measure, included a societal perspective in the analysis, and utilized time horizons of 10 years to lifetime.Conclusions. To continue to improve the cost-effectiveness evidence of DMTs, we recommend: lifetime horizons, societal perspectives, and QALYs; supplemental evidence with shorter horizons, payer perspectives, and clinical outcomes to inform multiple decision makers; development of modeling and input standards for comparability; head-to-head RCTs between DMTs and long-term prospective studies; and comprehensive cost-effectiveness studies that compare all appropriate DMTs.

Performance, motivation and knowledge of thestudents are the three central axes in which the Agroindustry chair hasbeen working since the year 2012 to improve the quality of its coursesand take care of the students in a better way. My hypothesis was that ifeach student situation is taken into account, and the learning processis not based only on a final grade, there would be better motivation, knowledge and performance. The Postharvest handling course (first termof 2012) at UNED was investigated through: a) an evaluation of the levelof the students’ motivation with a survey and inquiry about their specificsituation and b) an analysis of their performance and knowledge levelthrough the judgment of two evaluation instruments: Forum 1 and thefirst exam. The students do not respond in a positive way if the alternativeevaluation activities lack a percentage in the final grade, or they do notget enough feedback about their evaluations; the prefer to have morepresential tutorials. Knowledge is negatively correlated with the finalgrade obtained by the students in Forum 1, but positively related to thefirst exam. The knowledge of the students is not completely measuredwith a final grade and individual situations must be taken into accountto increase motivation, performance and knowledge. I recommend theinclusion of alternative evaluation activities in the Agroindustry chairwithout leaving behind the specific situations of each student.
