Industrial robot programming tools increasingly rely on graphical interfaces, which aim at rendering the programming task more accessible to a wide variety of users. The usability of such tools is currently being evaluated in controlled environments, such as laboratories or companies, in which a group of participants is asked to carry out several tasks using the tool and then fill out a standardized questionnaire. In this context, this paper proposes and evaluates an alternative evaluation methodology, which leverages online crowdsourcing platforms to produce the same results as face-to-face evaluations. We applied the proposed framework in the evaluation of a web-based industrial robot programming tool called Assembly. Our results suggest that crowdsourcing facilitates a cost-effective, result-oriented, and reusable methodology for performing user studies anonymously and online.

Evaluation is one of the most important elements of  teaching process. The recent trends in evaluation and educational reform movements have called for using alternative evaluation, which focuses on performance evaluation. Authentic assessment is usually described as formative, in which students participate in their acquisition, in addition to the fact that students are productive and active, which is reflected in the students' achievement and skill level. The study aims to reveal the degree of knowledge and use of alternative assessment tools by primary school teachers in Gaza -Palestine. To meet the objective of the study, the researchers used the descriptive-analytical method and the questioner as a study tool. The study sample consisted of (134) elementary basic school teachers in the Gaza governorate in Palestine. Results have shown that the percentage of knowledge of alternative evaluation tools reached (77.7%), which is a high level, and that the percentage of using alternative evaluation tools reached (70.3%). As it is seen, the percentages do not vary according to variables, such as: gender, educational qualification, specialization, classes taught by the teacher, years of service, type of school, gender of school students, educational region, and taking training courses. Howerver, the degree of usage of such alternative tools varies in favour of basic education. The study recommends continuing to motivate primary school teachers to employ alternative assessment tools, and to support them with courses and workshops that enhance their skills in employing these tools

Product competitiveness that must be high in the MEA era does not only apply to industrial products, but also to fruit, including duku. The objectives of this study are (1)to explore consumer behavior in the duku fruit purchase decision process in the MEA era and (2)analyze consumer preferences for the fruit attributes so that it can be known what the ideal duku design is according to consumers. To explore consumer behavior used descriptive analysis, while for analyzing consumer preferences towards attributes using conjoined analysis. From the results of the study, consumer behavior through five stages, namely the introduction of needs, information search, alternative evaluation, purchase and post-purchase. From the results of the analysis, the thing that is considered most important in choosing the fruit attributes of duku is taste, seed size, price, fruit size, hardness of flesh, color of flesh, spots on the skin and skin color. Based on the results of consumer preference analysis, it can be concluded that consumers prefer duku which has the characteristics of sweetness, a small size of seeds, the price is less than IDR 8,000, the size of a large, flesh soft, clear color of flesh, spots are small and yellow skin color.

Abstract Background An analysis of the regional distribution of health resources is one of the tools for evaluating equal geographic access to health care. The usual analytical approach to an assessment of regional differences is to evaluate each health resource separately. This is a sensible approach, because there may be systematic reasons for any differences, for example, higher salaries in urban areas. However, a separate evaluation of the regional distribution of health resource capacities may be misleading. We should evaluate all health resource capacities as a whole and consider the substitutability of resources. Objective This study aims to measure regional inequalities in the Czech Republic with the help of alternative approaches to the evaluation of regional inequalities in the case of several substitutable health resources. Methods Five alternative evaluation methods (models) are described and applied: the separate evaluation, expert model, market model, common weights model, and production frontier model. Results The regional distribution of physicians and nurses in the Czech Republic in 2017 was evaluated. In spite of many regulations at the national and regional levels, we have found inequalities in regional resource distribution. The models that consider all health resources and the possibility of a resource substitution show lower inequalities between regional health resource capacities. Conclusion Both researchers and policy-makers should always consider the possibility of resource substitutions in the assessment of regional inequalities.

Learning outcomes This case teaches participants to: identify evaluation feasibility criteria for project alternatives according to their typology (market, techniques, finances, environmental and social), starting from the analysis of the information available about them. Prepare a comparative project alternative evaluation table, applying good business analysis practices promoted by PMI® and other authors for selecting the most viable project option that will add the most value to the organization. Case overview/synopsis At the start of 2013, Acería Ecuatoriana, because of a million-dollar investment that had been started by its general manager, Pérez, increased its melting and steel production capacity from 100,000 tons per year to 220,000 tons per year. This implied a greater demand for industrial gases and require its main additional supplier to deliver. Demand increase caused Grupo Lindo Ecuador´s plant saturation, unit separation air 1. For this reason, Grupo Lindo Ecuador had to import considerable oxygen amounts and this increased its cost of production. This caused Cadena to seek the establishment of a strategic alliance with Acería Ecuatoriana, for the purpose of developing a project for gas production (oxygen, nitrogen and argon). In September of the same year, Nelson became interested but required to know the Grupo Lindo Ecuador project proposal before signing the strategic alliance. Complexity academic level The case is addressed to an audience made up of graduate students (graduation and Master’s Degree) who have managerial experience and would like to improve their project management empirical practices.
