The quality of fresh fish will decrease immediately after death. One of the indicators of fish quality is the changes of the gills color. The aim of this research was to determine the changes of red color in the gills of tilapia using image processing as an indicator of fish freshness. The research method used is the Explanatory Research where the independent variable (x) is tilapia which stored at room temperature for 12 hours. The dependent variable (y) was the intensity value of red. The quality of fish could be grouped into several categories, such as high quality, good quality, limit of acceptability and spoilt. The Observation was carried out with a time of 0 hours to 12 hours (4 hour interval). The results showed that storage time affected the deterioration of fresh quality. The high quality category has a red percentage value of 82.18%. Fresh category has a red percentage value of 67.10%. The limit of acceptability category has a value of 38.52% and the spoiltcategory has a red percentage value of 9.92%.

Sensory analysis has been used to to detect changes in the degree of tilapia freshness during the 12 hour storage period. This research was conducted in March 2017 until aJuly 2017. This research was conducted at Food Laboratory of PDD Polinela of Banyuasin Regency. The research method used is the experimental method (Explanatory Research). The data were processed using Friedman Conover and analyzed descriptively. The quality of fish can be grouped into several categories namely high quality, good quality, limit of acceptability and spoilt. The results showed the longer the time of retreat the quality of fish Tilapia was alight. High quality category has a gill color score of 8.40, texture 7.64 and aroma 7.76. Good quality category has a gill color score of 6.44, texture of 6.76 and aroma of 5.24. The limit of acceptability category has a gill color score of 4.72, a texture of 4.56 and a scent of 5.24. The spoiled category has a gill color score of 4.72, 3.16 texture and 2.44 odor.


In many image processing applications, a wide range of image enhancement techniques are being proposed. Many of these techniques demanda lot of critical and advance steps, but the resultingimage perception is not satisfactory. This paper proposes a novel sharpening method which is being experimented with additional steps. In the first step, the color image is transformed into grayscale image, then edge detection process is applied using Laplacian technique. Then deduct this image from the original image. The resulting image is as expected; After performing the enhancement process,the high quality of the image can be indicated using the Tenengrad criterion. The resulting image manifested the difference in certain areas, the dimension and the depth as well. Histogram equalization technique can also be applied to change the images color.

AbstractIn this paper, we propose a stenography scheme based on predictive differencing to embed data in a grey-image. In order to promote the embedding capacity of pixel-value differencing (PVD), we use differencing between a predictive value and an input pixel as the predictive differencing to embed the message where a predictive value is calculated by using various predictors. If the predictive differencing is large, then it means that the input pixel is located in the edge area and, thus, has a larger embedding capacity than the pixel in a smooth area. The experimental result shows that our proposed scheme is capable of providing greater embedding capacity and high quality of stego-images then previous works. Furthermore, we have also applied various predictors to evaluate our proposed scheme.

Nowadays, machine engraving of photos into solid materials such as marble or granite is becoming very popular. Relatively cheap CNC machines are available. The problem is that high quality photos are essential to obtain good results. The first part of the paper describes a model of a CNC machine used for engraving and puts down the principles of image processing applied to poor quality photos in order to get the best results, as well as the fundamental image processing methods necessary for achieving satisfactory results when using an electromagnetic diamond percussion tool for engraving. The second part of the paper describes a very simple method of data coding and the algorithm of engraving tool movement for image engraving process by means of a control system based on ATmega16 microcontroller. The quality of the engraved images is comparable, or even better, than that of manually engraved images or images engraved by other competitive CNC machines.

Abstract: Seeds with high quality are one of the important factors to consider in the crops establishment on field. Therefore, the physical and physiological quality of wheat seeds treated with mixes of micronutrients including zinc and protective products were aimed. The wheat seeds were analyzed in a factorial scheme 5x3x4, with five storage time: 0, 60, 120, 180 and 240 days; three micronutrients: micronutrients 1 (1% Mn; 0.1% Mo; 10% Zn); micronutrients 2 (0.3% B; 0.3% Co; 3% Zn) and no micronutrients, and four protective products: untreated seeds, polymer (Colorseed He), fungicide carboxin + thiram (Vitavax® Thiram 200 SC) + insecticide thiamethoxam (Cruiser® 350 FS) and polymer + fungicide + insecticide. After treatment, the seeds were stored under uncontrolled conditions for 240 days and at intervals of 60 days, the germination, accelerated aging and moisture content were determined. Wheat seeds untreated and treated with polymer have the best physiological performance during storage, regardless micronutrients treatments. The wheat seeds treated with carboxin + thiram + thiamethoxam and polymer + carboxin + thiram + thiamethoxam can be storage up to 120 days, under uncontrolled conditions, regardless micronutrients treatments. The seed treatment does not alter the moisture content of wheat seeds.

High-quality online open courses have a wide audience. To further improve the quality of these courses, it is critical to analyze the teaching behaviors in class, which are the manifestation of the overall quality of the teacher. Considering the popularity of image processing-based behavior recognition in many disciplines, this paper explores deep into the teaching features and behaviors in online open courses based on image processing. Firstly, a coding scale was designed for teaching behaviors in online open courses. Next, the principle of optical flow solving was explained for teaching video images. Then, a teaching behavior feature extraction model was established based on dual-flow deep CNN, and used to extract the key points of teacher body and the behavior features of the teacher. After that, a teaching behavior recognition method was developed combining histogram of oriented gradients (HOG) and support vector machine (SVM) to accurately allocate the teaching features and behaviors to the corresponding teaching links. Finally, the proposed model was proved effective through experiments. Based on the recognized teaching behaviors, the frequency and duration of such behaviors were subject to comparative analysis, revealing the teaching features in high-quality online open courses.

Regional General Hospital (RSUD) dr. Soedomo Trenggalek is one of the health organizations belonging to the Trenggalek district government. The number of patients each year at RSUD dr. Soedomo every year experiences erratic fluctuations, this refers to the quality of hospital services. Service performance at the dr. Soedomo still needs a lot of improvement because there are often complaints/complaints from patients and their families about the unsatisfied service received. Therefore, this research needs to be done so that it can improve the quality of service and the level of patient satisfaction. The type of research used in this research is quantitative descriptive with a population of all inpatients in the Seruni room at RSUD dr. Soedomo Trenggalek. The research sample is a total of 60 respondents taken by random sampling technique. Analysis of the data used is the percentage to determine the characteristics of the respondents, as well as multiple regression analysis to determine the effect of each independent variable on the dependent variable. The results obtained are Tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy partially and simultaneously have a significant effect on the satisfaction of inpatients at RSUD dr Soedomo Trenggalek.variable Tangibles or physical facilities is the variable that has the greatest influence on the satisfaction of inpatients at RSUD Dr. Soedomo Trenggalek. It can be seen from the beta coefficient variable tangibles (X1)which has a value of 0.388, and variable assurance (X2)has a value of the second largest, amounting to 0,313 compared to the beta coefficient else, namely empathy (X5)of 0.229, responsiveness (X3)equal to 0.207, and va riabel reliability (X2)of 0.169.

The JPEG-XR encoding process utilizes two types of transform operations: Photo Overlap Transform (POT) and Photo Core Transform (PCT). Using the Device Porting Kit (DPK) provided by Microsoft, we performed encoding and decoding processes on JPEG XR images. It was discovered that when the quantization parameter is >1-lossy compression conditions, the resulting image displays chequerboard block artefacts, border artefacts and corner artefacts. These artefacts are due to the nonlinearity of transforms used by JPEG-XR. Typically, it is not so visible; however, it can cause problems while copying and scanning applications, as it shows nonlinear transforms when the source and the target of the image have different configurations. Hence, it is important for document image processing pipelines to take such artefacts into account. Additionally, these artefacts are most problematic for high-quality settings and appear more visible at high compression ratios. In this paper, we analyse the cause of the above artefacts. It was found that the main problem lies in the step of POT and quantization. To solve this problem, the use of a “uniform matrix” is proposed. After POT (encoding) and before inverse POT (decoding), an extra step is added to multiply this uniform matrix. Results suggest that it is an easy and effective way to decrease chequerboard, border and corner artefacts, thereby improving the image quality of lossy encoding JPEG XR than the original DPK program with no increased calculation complexity or file size.

The application of acids in food processing has an important role due to its antimicrobial activities. Likewise, acid derivation of palm nera has been widely used by the community in handling fish to maintain its freshness, however the research concerning its effect on fish has not been conducted yet. This study aims to analyze the application of palm nera (Arenga pinnata) in maintaining the quality of fresh Gnathanodon speciosus during storage. The results of the analysis of variance showed that the treatment of fermented palm nera (A) had a significant effect on the TMA value, and had a very significant effect on the pH value, while the treatment of storage time (B) had a very significant effect on the TMA and pH values. The interaction of treatment A and B has a very significant effect on the pH value. The results of the Friedman test showed that the interaction of treatment A and B had a very significant effect on the odor, texture and appearance of fresh fish.  The conclusion is the fresh fish treated by  fermented palm nera and stored during 9 days obtained the best quality based on objective (TPC, TMA, pH) and subjective  parameters.

<p>In developing fish cultivation, it is better to make an effort to support a sustainable larva availability with the high quality and quantity. This is due that the larva stadium is a susceptible phase and the most critical condition in a whole fish life cycle. Hence, in obtaining a life cycle sequence and high quality of the fish, the most important thing to do is providing natural foods of the fish. One of them is <em>Chlorella</em> sp, this species has the size which is suitable to the orifice of the larva and it contains high nutrient such as protein. This research aims to investigate the effect of adding a growth regulator substance in cultural PHM media on the protein content of <em>Chlorella</em> sp.  The method used in this research was experimental laboratory using a completely random design which comprised of five treatments with triplicates per treatment. Treatments A (PHM + PSB 0.005 mL/L), B (PHM + PSB 0.01 mL/L), C (PHM + PSB 0.015 mL/L), D (PHM + PSB 0.02 mL/L), and K (PHM without PSB). Parameters observed and analysed were growth and protein content of <em>Chlorella</em> sp. During the study, parameters of the water quality measured were temperature (<sup>0</sup>C), pH, ammoniak, nitrit, and nitrat. The results of the study showed that adding a growth regulator Penshibao (PSB) in the media with various doses gave significant effects (P<0.01) on the protein content and growth of <em>Chlorella</em> sp. The appropriate dose for the highest protein content was found on treatment D (PHM + PSB 0.02 mL/L) with a value of 47.24%. While the best growth performance was shown by the treatment C (PHM + PSB 0.015 mL/L) with the top of population 7.46 log sel/mL and final density 6.87 log sel/mL.</p> <p>Keywords:  Growth regulator substance, media PHM, the growth of <em>Chlorella</em> sp, protein content.</p> <p> </p> <p>ABSTRAK</p> <p>Dalam pengembangan budidaya ikan, perlu dilakukan kegiatan yang mendukung adanya ketersediaan larva yang terus menerus baik dari segi kualitas maupun kuantitasnya. Hal ini disebabkan larva ikan merupakan masa yang paling kritis dalam rangkaian siklus hidup ikan dan sangat rawan terhadap kematian. Untuk itu dalam upaya mendapatkan kualitas dan tingkat hidup yang tinggi dari larva, maka salah satu faktor yang perlu diperhatikan adalah penyediaan pakan alami yang sesuai dengan ukuran bukaan mulut larva. Salah satu jenisnya adalah <em>Chlorella sp</em> yang mempunyai<em> </em>kandungan protein tinggi. Untuk itu dalam usaha budidayanya, perlu kiranya dilakukan pengkayaan media hidupnya yang sesuai agar pertumbuhannya optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian zat pengatur tumbuh pada media kultur PHM terhadap kandungan protein <em>Chlorella sp</em>.  Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimental laboratoris dengan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 5 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan. Perlakuan A (PHM + PSB 0,005 mL/L), B (PHM + PSB 0,01 mL/L), C (PHM + PSB 0,015 mL/L), D (PHM + PSB 0,02 mL/L), dan K (PHM yang tidak diperkaya dengan PSB). Untuk parameter yang dianalisis meliputi pola pertumbuhan dan kandungan protein <em>Chlorella sp</em>. Kemudian sebagai parameter penunjang adalah kualitas air media kultur, yaitu : suhu (<sup>0</sup>C), pH, ammoniak, nitrit, dan nitrat.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian zat pengatur tumbuh Penshibao (PSB) dengan dosis yang berbeda memberikan pengaruh yang sangat nyata (<em>P<0,01</em>) terhadap pertumbuhan dan kandungan protein <em>Chlorella </em>sp. Dosis yang terbaik untuk kandungan protein diperoleh pada perlakuan D (PHM + PSB 0,02 mL/L), yaitu 47,42% sedangkan pertumbuhan pada perlakuan C (PHM + PSB 0,015 mL/L), yaitu dengan puncak populasi 7,46 log sel/mL; dan fase kematian <em>Chlorella </em>sp pada hari ke-14 sebesar 6,87 log sel/mL.</p> Kata kunci:  Zat pengatur tumbuh, media kultur <em>Chlorella </em>sp.
