The article was prepared on the basis of the conceptual research method that relies on the study of academic literature to find and integrate various concepts, including aspects of sustainable development, marketing management of an industrial enterprise, organizational levels of decision-making, and strategic management. The proposed method to determine the goals for sustainable strategic development of industrial enterprises involves assessing the priorities of stakeholders’ interests based on the Mitchell-Agle-Wood Salience Model. Identification of stakeholders, determination of the importance of each of the groups and ranking of their sustainable development goals allow industrial enterprises to justify the concentration of resources in the most important areas of sustainable development for enterprises. The algorithm makes it possible to provide a deeper insight into the stakeholders surrounding the enterprise, due to the fact that the interests of those participating in the business processes are taken into account, which subsequently will have a positive effect on meeting the strategic goal of the enterprise. This allows stakeholders and enterprises to avoid unnecessary expenses and to increase the efficiency of the developed programs. The results obtained would be useful for practitioners who determine the strategic direction of industrial enterprises and are looking for sustainable mechanisms for joint marketing management.

Relapse together with stigma and perceptions are serious challenges that need to be addressed promptly. Past literature is with the view that the issue of relapse occurs due to several stressors, including unemployment. Scant frameworks exist on the strategic development that promotes the employment of ex-drug addicts to reduce the relapse rate. In the same vein, this study seeks to discover the misperception and stigma surrounding the employment of ex-drug addicts in Malaysia as well as to explore employers’ views in hiring those ex-drug addicts as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. This study is consistent with qualitative research based on interviews with eight Malaysian employers. This study found that the hiring of ex-drug addicts as a part of the company’s CSR initiatives may(a) reduce the relapses of drug addicts (b), it will uplift the CSR ratings of the subjected companies and (c), it will increase the compliance of the companies with Sustainable Development Goals through the subjected CSR initiatives. In line with that, this study proposed a novel strategic framework by aligning the subjected CSR initiative with social sustainability and subsequently to Sustainable Development Goals. The proposed strategic framework will insight policymakers and employers into contributing to sustainable development through hiring ex-drug addicts.

This article examines trends and opportunities in implementing the concept of sustainable development in the world and in the economy of the Russian Federation at the level of small and medium-sized enterprises. Based on the analysis of statistical data on contribution and forms of participation in solving environmental problems and formation of sustainable development trends in terms of achieving the SDGs of SMEs in the Russian Federation, we conclude that there is insufficient participation and weak motivation in this sector. The analysis is done using data from Eurostat, Rosstat, and Fedstat (an OECD institutional website), studying how values of indicators have changed during recent years. This conclusion is in line with studies of global trends showing a decline in business and economic activity towards the achievement of the SDGs, especially in the SME sector. At the same time, we show the existence of business niches and significant growth potential in this sector. In conclusion, we consider possibilities for overcoming these trends through external influence in the form of government support and through internal transformation of business processes. Furthermore, we propose business models for implementing participation of small and medium-sized businesses in the formation of a sustainable development economy.

The article discusses its main elements, the theory of the relationship of ESG factors with the financial performance of firms, driving the interests of investors, and provides approaches to investment that contribute to sustainable development in various ways.
