This research was motivated by the existence of environmental pollution problems caused by manufacturing activities that use styrene plastic materials as part of the packaging for electronic products. To solve these problems, innovative uses of environmentally-friendly materials from natural resources are necessary. The substitution of natural materials for the synthetic materials used in manufacturing is vitally important in the effort to eliminate the negative effects of environmental pollution. The use of trial-and-error methods to create and test replacement materials derived from renewable natural resources will allow sustainable manufacturing development. In this study, we assessed the feasibility of replacing styrene plastic materials, which commonly are used in the packaging of manufactured goods, with waste materials from banana stems so that the packaging of manufactured goods can be an environmentally-friendly product. The resulting banana stem of new and renewable material substitution for sustainable manufacturing, namely the M4 + T + P3 + A + t6 model. Micro-biological banana stem material is broken down easily in the soil, so this material does not disturb the environment, while styrene materials do not break down in the soil. The implication of this research is the packaging of manufactured products can be sustainable.

Introduction: Indonesia with its geographic form as an archipelagic country. Based on these considerations, the Indonesian government states that all waters around, between and connecting islands are the territorial territory of the Indonesian state. Purposes of the Research: Assessing and analyzing the legal protection of coastal areas in controlling pollution and destruction of coastal seas. Methods of the Research: This research is a normative study using a statutory approach with the source of legal materials used  primary legal materials and secondary legal materials and tertiary legal materials with qualitative analysis with deductive and inductive methods. Results of the Research: Environmental pollution is caused by human activities themselves, either through industrial activities or household activities that produce waste and garbage, which are grouped into 3 things, namely the existence of environmental pollution (pollution), land misuse (land misused) and destruction or depletion of sources. natural resources (Natural Resources). Environmental pollution in the form of water pollution which includes rivers and lakes, marine pollution, air pollution and noise.

Any technology that is developed and used will have certain components or constituting mechanisms such as materials used, procedure, or technological process involved. The quality of life on planet with respect to environment such as fresh air to breathe, clean water for drinking, and other purposes are essential for all forms of life on earth. Therefore, whatever developments are undertaken should not degrade our environment. It is essential to bear in mind that whatever development, be it construction, new power plants, transportation modes, etc., should be carefully weighed in terms of its contribution to the environment, especially if there are any negative aspects that emerge from use of machinery, equipment, technologies, etc. We should analyze any technology that we use in terms of its cost-benefit study. Here in this chapter, the authors have discussed environmentally friendly technologies for our sustainability to use the natural resources wisely with some case studies of natural as well as manmade disasters.

The food-related industries important influence on the environment and the factors which caused food-related industriesenvironmental pollution was investigated by using the food-related industry data. The results showed that the variables measuring the quantities and structures of food consumption have an important influence on carbon dioxides discharge. In addition, the scale of economics and environmental control variables have the biggest influence. We can lead peoples food consumption structure to the environmentally friendly structure and strengthen the environmental control, then control the environmental pollution of the food industry effectively.

Environmentally friendly mosquitoes trap using common daily materials used by community may give hopes in reducing mosquitoes density. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of environmentally friendly mosquitoes trap made from bottle contained sugar yeast solution for reducing the number of trapped mosquitoes. This study consist of two phases and quasi experimental design was used. Mann Whitney test was used to determine the differences the number of trapped mosquitoes indoor and outdoor. The result showed p value 0,000 which was lower than ? value (0,05), so there was significant difference between the number of indoor and outdoor trapped mosquitoes. The average Rank score of outdoor mosquitoes trap (42,75) was more than indoor mosquitoes trap (18,25). We concluded that the mosquitoes trapped which contained of sugar-yeast solution was effective for trapping the mosquitoes especially outdoor .

At the global level, due to the negative effects of over-exploitation of natural resources, numerous processes and initiatives for their conservation and sustainable governance have started. The beginning of the transition process, as well as political and economic changes that followed in the countries in transition, were in line with the new orientation of the international forest and nature protection policy. The transition process has caused, among other things, a redefinition of the role of government in managing natural resources. This meant a shift from ?government? to ?governance? concept. This concept refers to the change from the classical approach of ?command and control? to active participation of all involved parties and establishing rules for the division of responsibilities and benefits. The aim of the paper is to identify, analyze and systematise the current concepts of sustainable governance in forestry and nature protection, their characteristics and the principles on which they are based, with a main purpose of preparation of a research platform for more detailed research in this area. The paper gives recommendations for the application of the principles of governance in forestry and nature protection, as well as recommendations for future research in this area.

The processes of a green economy development, changes in approaches to the production and use of energy, the emergence of new sources of investment in the technological transition - all this is a consequence and, at the same time, the cause of structural shifts in the economies of advanced countries. In this light, the technological backwardness of the Russian economy, caused by a negative structural shift during the period of market reforms, impedes the transition to a green economy, rationalization of the use of natural resources and reduction of environmental pollution. Therefore, the development of theoretical provisions for the convergence of environmental and economic policies, the development of appropriate incentives for business are considered as an important step in the transition to sustainable development. For this purpose, the authors examine the original approaches to various paths of transition to sustainable development caused by structural shifts of a convergent nature in the economy.

People interact with surfaces in interior spaces, where a huge part of their life lasts. Many of these surfaces which surrounds the interior spaces are covering or coating materials in various textures and shapes. Materials used in interior surfaces are applied for various purposes. Protection, insulation or decoration can be considered as the main objective of these purposes. This study aims to research what kind of polymer based surface materials are used by interior designers and their reasons, frequency and area of use.  For this reason, the study is composed on a questionnaire. The questions are prepared by summarizing the polymer based material information obtained from the literature. The questionnaire participants are interior designers who are actively working in the field. With this group, a survey on selection of plastic materials has been made. Survey results are explained in the findings. The last chapter includes the conclusions and recommendations of the study. Keywords: Interior design, surface materials, plastics, polymers.
