The present work is devoted to the study of the possibility of applying an integrated modular approach in the development of buildings for children's educational institutions. Three aspects of the problem are considered. Firstly - the need to comply with the requirements for the device, content and organization of the mode of operation of children's preschool organizations. Secondly - ensuring urban planning maneuverability of structures. Parameters of the premises of a children's institution allow using a single module for any functional area. Thus, it is possible to arrange individual function blocks in different ways, and, by changing the number of units, vary the filling number of a children. Thirdly, the integration of architectural design with the simultaneous design of developing territorial complexes - locales in children's educational institutions.

Abstract We describe a discrete automated radioimmunoassay system for determining choriomammotropin (placental lactogen) in human serum. With the present system it can be measured in as many as 37 unknown sera (50 muL) and three quality-control sera, in duplicate, within 1.5 h. The time required for sample preparation, incubation (15 min), and separation of free and bound radioactivities (a 150 mL/L polyethylene glycol solution is superior to a twofold volume of absolute ethanol) is less than 45 min. The remaining time required is for counting and data processing. Intra-assay precision is 4.6% (CV). The modular approach endows the instrumentation with much flexibility, and consequently is suitable for automation of a wide range of assay protocols.

Temporary shelters become a more critical subject of architectural design as the increasing number of natural disasters taking place each year result in a larger number of people in need of urgent sheltering. Therefore, this project focuses on designing a temporary living space that can respond to the needs of different post-disaster scenarios and form a modular system through differentiation of units. When designing temporary shelters, it is a necessity to deal with the provision of materials, low-cost production and the time limit in the emergency as well as the needs of the users and the experiential quality of the space. Although computational approaches might lead to much more efficient and resilient design solutions, they have been utilized in very few examples. For that reason and due to their suitability to work with architectural design problems, soft computing methods shape the core of the methodology of the study. Initially, a digital model is generated through a set of rules that define a growth algorithm. Then, Multi-Objective Genetic Algorithms alter this growth algorithm while evaluating different configurations through the objective functions constructed within a Fuzzy Neural Tree. The struggle to represent design goals in the form of Fuzzy Neural Tree holds potential for the further use of it for architectural design problems centred on resilience. Resilience in this context is defined as a measure of how agile a design is when dealing with a major sheltering need in a post-disaster environment. Different from the previous studies, this article aims to focus on the design of a temporary shelter that can respond to different user types and disaster scenarios through mass customization, using Fuzzy Neural Tree as a novel approach. While serving as a temporary space, the design outcomes are expected to create a more neighbourhood-like pattern with a stronger sense of community for the users compared to the previous examples.

The aim of this research is to find out the effectiveness of a modular approach in teaching and learning to assess students’ performance, achievement and motivation and to decide if a modular approach is more effective than traditional methods while performing an experiment with two groups of students learning English at a technical university. The researchers consider a modular specification to be a technology in which the content is divided into a number of units or modules, each of which is examined separately. A module is considered to be a set of learning opportunities organized around a well-defined topic which contains elements of instruction, specific objectives, learning activities and self-assessment and evaluation using criteria-referenced measurement. This project combines quantitative and qualitative research methods to address the impact of modular teaching, learning and assessment on engineering students. The authors use a unique modular system and their own book on English Grammar. This experiment shows that students of modular syllabuses find it useful and motivating and say that it encourages them to do better on the next modules. At the same time, modular learning and assessment does not remove the stress and workload of traditional approaches. Teachers in the modular system appreciate the better planning opportunity around the exams and the clarity of the focus of their teaching requirements. Still, the approach and the structure of modules used in the experiment requires improvement and development.

Abstract. In the sphere of modern higher education, the following main requirements to the performance level of modern professional of any profile can be distinguished: comprehensive fundamental expertise, capacity to work in the team, fast mastering of new technologies, self-education skills and ability to conduct creative work and research. These qualities of a specialist become the main objectives and reference points in building the modern system of higher education that would contribute to creation of expertise, respective access, management, dissemination and achievement control. The requirements to medical education are one of the most precise, especially on the background of critical demographic situation in the world, in general, and in Ukraine, in particular. The participation of the Ukrainian system of higher education in the Bologna reforms should be aimed only at its development and acquisition of new quality features without losing the best traditions and decrease of its national quality standards. Orientation towards Bologna process should not cause the excessive restructuring of the national education system. The main aim of Bologna process is to create a unified, all-European, strong and competitive education system (first of all, with the American education system), and also expand the possibilities for employment of future professionals. The European Credit Transfer System was implemented in Ukraine in 2005 and is aimed at the development of national school. This system enables transfer of credits from different educational institutions and it expands the access to the European education, leads to the modernization of European education and provides more efficient training of graduating specialists. Therefore, the higher educational institutions of our country constantly take the measures towards improvement of teaching and education process and methods of education using different forms of knowledge control.  Having as an objective the control of education results and evaluation of efficiency of study, the objective monitoring of knowledge and skills that provides for the use of its different forms, becomes an integral part of the educational process. The Bologna declaration forms the model of European higher education with consideration of the specific features and traditions of the national educational systems. One of the key criteria of the implementation efficiency of credit-modular system of educational process organization is advancement of higher professional education quality. However, the implementation of surgical educational programs has a series of problematic issues. In the article, we describe the inclusion of the Ukrainian medical education into Bologna process, the stages of creation of Bologna educational system in Ukraine. We introduce the conceptual peculiarities of higher medical education reforms within the context of medical reforms in Ukraine. We have shown the credit-modular system of educational process organization in the Ukrainian education and demonstrated the advantages of credit transfer system in medical education. We also have added to the concept of higher medical school reforms in the context of medical reforms in Ukraine.

Educational administration is all or all that is involved in work regarding teacher training which is basically the administration of education is useful for expanding knowledge and abilities in the field and study administration. Educational administration is one of the actions of coordinating human behavior in education, so that the available resources can be arranged as well as possible, so that educational goals can be achieved productively. Administration has a very important message in education, where one of its important roles is to implement the principles of healthy human relations by emphasizing respect for everyone at the educational institution concerned and trying to connect and bring together educational institutions with the community towards development, progress and stability. The research method used is a literature search where researchers collect reference sources from books, journals, internet and other scientific sources. Then concluded by using language that is easier to understand. Educational administration is everything related to teacher training aimed at expanding knowledge and abilities in the field and administration studies. The educational administration process includes planning, organizing, actuating and controlling. The scope of education administration includes administration of school governance, personal administration of teachers and staff, administration of students, supervision of teaching, implementation and guidance of curriculum, establishment and planning of school buildings and school relations with the community.

The article deals with the relevance of the formation of educational institutions buildings in cooperation with higher education institutions. On the basis of modern tendencies of the education development the basic typological groups of the educational organisations are revealed which are basic elements in the general system of the higher education. The necessity of architectural formation of the school as the main component in the system of school-University interaction is determined. On the basis of the conducted researches are revealed the main directions and methods of architectural formation of buildings of the General educational organisations, namely schools in the structure of higher educational institutions (universities). The basic architectural and planning principles of designing school buildings in the structure of university complexes are defined. The conceptual model of architectural formation of a school building in the conditions of education continuity is developed: general-higher, on the example of Don State Technical University.
