Maintenance staff fatigue is one of the key factors contributing to the occurrence of errors in the maintenance. The problem of maintenance staff fatigue is a serious challenge for aircraft maintenance organizations, and its solution is directly related to the impact on flight safety. The authors consider the issues of the fatigue effect on the maintenance staff performance and related consequences. The article provides the results of the maintenance staff fatigue research, obtained through a survey of one of the organizations` employees. According to the survey, errors are the most likely outcome of work in a state of fatigue in aircraft maintenance. The obtained results made it necessary to develop a methodology for managing maintenance staff fatigue in aircraft maintenance. The methodology is based on a questionnaire, where the respondents are asked to answer questions regarding their state of fatigue, and fatigue assessment criteria. The assessment results make it possible to develop the necessary corrective and preventive measures, including the privilege limitation and suspension to perform maintenance tasks.

The article analyzes the existing problems that impede the effective safety management of the flights of the air forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. As a result, this analysis revealed the contradiction between the need to build a safety management system and the lack of effective mechanisms for assessing the state of the aviation system and taking into account the influence of the human factor of aviation professionals on flight safety. The contradiction identified the need for developing a set of methods to estimate the actual state of the aviation system protection from the effects of threats associated with the human factor of flight personnel. A methodological apparatus was developed for assessing the security status of an aviation system against hazardous factors, which is based on applying a personality-oriented approach to assessing and managing the state of an aviation system. The method of assessing the state of flight safety allows you to quantify the state of protection of the crew-aircraft system from the impact of hazards caused by the personal factor of a particular pilot before the flight and to assess in near real-time the state of protection of the crew-aircraft system during the flight. The method of assessing the state of safety in aviation formation allows you to assess the status of safety during the organization and conduct of flights, taking into account the influence of the human factor of flight personnel in  near real time.

Bulgaria has a significant background in the sector of air transport. It is one of the first countries in Europe to develop air transport. The latter eventually goes through three political systems: the Third Bulgarian Tsardom, socialist Bulgaria and the so-called democratic Bulgaria after 1989. An extensive period of time with its ups and downs, hardship and struggle to prove its place and remain on the market. The years of Bulgaria's political and economic transition from a socialist planned economy to a market economy have brought our country to a number of challenges and have created a number of problems related to property shifts, infrastructure problems and facilities in the transport sector, and in particular in air transport. During this period, the ownership of our international airports and airlines was restructured through a number of privatization deals, with new "players" emerging on the economic scene, while others went bankrupt and went out of circulation, as the state-owned airline BGA "Balkan" whose name and logo were recognizable the whole world. Many of the existing and built air transport sites were closed due to poor organization and financial resources. In addition to these events, air transport was hit by a serious political crisis where airspace of neighboring countries was very often violated due to military action in Syria, and the efforts of our specialized bodies focused on flight safety and safety. In addition, our country was economically covered by the global financial crisis.In order to promote the development and competitiveness of the sector, the factors that affect it must be taken into consideration.The main purpose of this paper is to outline the crucial for the development of air transport factors.The tasks we have undertaken to reveal the purpose of this research relate to such issues as the human factor, regulations, international airports and domestic licensed passenger and cargo airlines. Our main proposition is that to create and promote a competitive air transport, all the main factors like quality staff, synchronized regulations, licensed airports and airlines, must be compatible. If this can be achieved, more and more people in the country will opt for air transport rather than other means of transport.

Currently in Poland about 2,500 different engine types are installed on the aircraft. In the years 2008-2016 powerplants failures caused nearly 600 aviation events. Aborted flight or emergency landing, especially in the case of aircraft powered by a single piston engine occurred. The objective of the article was to determine the failure causes and assessment of their impact on the flight safety. Engine faults were assigned to particular types of powerplants, for example turboshaft, piston, etc. Causes of the failures were examined, assigning ATA chapter to each of them. Also human factor was taken into account. According to the ICAO methodology, aviation safety engine systems essential for flight safety and theirs impact on the safety risk was determined. The results of the analyzes presented in this article are useful for managing the national aviation safety and supervising SMS in aviation organizations. The article shows that preventive measures to raise the level of aviation safety should be taken. This is the first comprehensive analysis of the powerplants failure causes and an evaluation of their influence on the level of aviation safety in Poland.

Flight accuracy in the airspace is becoming an increasingly difficult issue due to the expanding number of aircraft operating in it. In order to meet the needs of all airspace users, aircraft flows are being increased, and different aircraft systems that minimise the risk of aircraft accidents are being developed to ensure flight safety. However, statistically, the impact of the human factor on aviation accidents and incidents remains high. This article focuses on the assessment of pilot flight accuracy during route flights and presents a methodology based on automated assessment tunnels for accurately assessing pilot flight deviations from a pre-set flight trajectory axis both on the horizontal and vertical plane.

The problem of flight safety continues to be of great importance in civil aviation, despite today aviation is the safest mode of transport. Particular attention is paid to the human factor, since it has a significant impact on safety. The article analyzes the impact of eye strain caused by displayed flight navigation data on a pilot during landing and discusses how to reduce it. It considers how the pilot interacts with aircraft equipment. The flight data, increasing eye strain, but having no affects on successful landing of the aircraft is specified. The article substantiates the necessity of adaptive display of flight data on the screen during landing. The proposed adaptive method for displaying flight navigation data is supposed to reduce the pilot’s eye strain, which contributes to improved quality of piloting and ensures flight safety.

General issues of the errors occurrence by technical personnel were considered, their causes and consequences. Classifications of errors based on an ergonomic understanding of their nature, as well as on the results of an engineering-psychological analysis of operators’ activity are given. Much attention is paid to the methods used by ICAO to classify errors and violations. Details considered models SHELL and J. Reason. Their adaptation is presented for analysis cases of the impact of the technical maintenance quality on the flight safety of aircraft. A special place is occupied by the disclosure of assessing issues impact of technical personnel errors on flight safety. A wide range of existing methods and models is presented, allowing obtaining qualitative and quantitative assessment of this effect in order for the prevention of errors by technical personnel and mitigating their consequences.

The paper studies the factors of secular stagnation. Key factors of long-term slowdown in economic growth include the slowdown of technological development, aging population, human capital accumulation limits, high public debt, creative destruction process violation etc. The authors analyze key theoretical aspects of long-term stagnation and study the impact of these factors on Japanies economy. The authors conclude that most of the factors have significant influence on the Japanese economy for recent decades, but they cannot explain all dynamics. For Russia, on the contrary, we do not see any grounds for considering the decline in the economy since 2013 as an episode of secular stagnation.

Relevance. Periodontal diseases are a medical and social problem due to the wide spread among the population of developed countries and the impact on the quality of life. Among the many factors that are important in the development of inflammatory periodontal diseases, an important role is played by adherence to the recommendations of the dentist in respecting oral hygiene. Aim of the work was to study the adherence of patients of the dental clinic to compliance with preventive measures in the oral cavity.Materials and methods. A total of 98 patients of dental clinic, 62 female (medial age 38,6 ± 14,0 years) and 36 male (medial age 37,2±13,1 years) participated in survey. The study participants flled in the profle and answered questions about age, gender, harmful working conditions and bad habits, frequency of visits to the dental clinic, attitudes to the prevention of dental diseases, knowledge about the means and methods of oral hygiene.Results. As a result of the study, it was found that in the vast majority of cases, respondents are employed in production that does not adversely affect their health (91%), only 8% of patients indicated harmful working conditions.Conclusions. The study revealed that, despite the recommendations of the dentist, patients are not always committed to the implementation of preventive measures in the oral cavity. Dentists need to motivate patients to use not only the usual methods and means of hygiene, but also additional ones necessary for maintaining dental health.

Despite changing medical paradigm, still a significant proportion of patients with IBD require surgery. The patient's general condition, including nutritional status and the use of immunosuppressive medications is of great importance with regard to surgical complications, as well as the choice of optimal surgical strategy. The indication and the timing of surgery are key factors for the multidisciplinary management of IBD patients. The purpose of this review is to provide an overview on the impact of medical treatment on surgical strategies in IBD.
