The article is devoted to the problem of intercultural communication. Intercultural communication is presented as a special communication process, having its own characteristics and passing conditions. The analysis of the process of intercultural interaction shows that the national and cultural specifics of communicative behavior affect the effectiveness of this process. Communicative behavior is conditioned by national mentality and is a component of national culture, as contained in national communication norms and rules. The article also emphasizes the connection between the communicative behavior of a person and his cognitive and linguistic consciousness. The author comes to the conclusion about the undoubted interrelation of interethnic communication with the awareness of one’s cultural identity, which is fixed in the linguistic consciousness of the individual and is reflected in his communicative behavior.

The search for effective ways to implement intercultural communication in order to build a multicultural society is one of the pressing problems of our time. Knowledge of the national characteristics of communicative behavior is the most important condition for the success of intercultural communication. Lack of awareness of the norms, traditions, rules of speech etiquette of representatives of another culture, as well as inadequate communication actions can lead to serious conflicts. The article presents the methodology and requirements for the construction of a general culture assimilator, substantiates the need to develop such training program in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District for each individual culture of indigenous minorities of the North as one of the effective ways to increase intercultural susceptibility, overcome self-centeredness, which will lead to the formation of inter-ethnic tolerance, with the aim of preserving and developing the national traditions of the indigenous peoples of the North.

Being one of the most prominent reflections of intercultural interaction, orientalism is the West's description of the East according to its own beliefs and understanding. This concept also includes the alienation and isolation of the human while trying to define 'the others'. The digital culture has searched for alternative realities and identities visible through virtual worlds controlled by the individual. This search for identity has led to the transformation of a fictional and shallow imagination into a cultural commodity through various stereotypes, just like in orientalism. Extended reality is one of the new oases of neo-orientalism as a research subject that combines the concepts of virtual and augmented reality. The increasing fusion between the human mind and machines radically changes the way people are born, live, learn, work, produce, dream, discuss, or die. This research aims to interpret the effects of transformation of information in XR technologies within the axis of neo-orientalism perspective through new individual experiences.

The Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China perceive each other as strategic, independent and equal partners with joint projects in bilateral trade, national security, tourism, education, etc. Countries are committed to long-term and mature cooperation and to peaceful and balanced settlement of disputes. Successful intercultural communication, based on an understanding of the values and norms of another nation, is a guarantee not only of peaceful relations but also of mutually beneficial partnership. We should understand that communication does not take place between States and organizations, but between real people and representatives of their countries. The communicator is the bearer of the collective experience of his people. Its national and cultural identity is shaped by the society in which he was brought up. In intercultural communication «their» norms are treated as reference norms, and «others» as incomprehensible, non-motivated and inadequate. The article discusses the cultural codes of Russia and China, examines the influence of national way of thinking on the vision of different reality and mentality, analyzes patterns of behaviour and judgment, which have a negative impact on the effectiveness of communication in various areas of joint activity. The article also describes recent intercultural contacts and highlights the most significant differences between the two countries. The article may be of interest to specialists and teachers in the field of intercultural communication, since it gives an idea of the manifestations of national and cultural identity in the individual, in his behaviour and in his speech. The article explores the reasons for negative impact on intercultural contacts in the recent period.

The variety of the intercultural communication provides the existence of different methods and tools that appear in learning process using the intercultural interaction in preparing future specialists. For understanding the intercultural communication it should be combined the knowledge and understanding another culture language. Moreover, the developing intercultural communication process should be seen in practice if the students have opportunities to develop language skills of the intercultural communication in daily routine or in professional situations conducted at the different learning classes with using modern pedagogical methods. One of the most effective ways of intercultural communication is a motivation to learn a foreign language for special occasions aimed at obtaining professional skills and professional experience. Achieving a high professional level of language training is directly related to the peculiarities of a foreign language culture. The proposed method is based on communicative competence of learners with practical implementation in the professional sphere. The method under consideration makes it possible to give conclusions about necessity for studying a foreign language and pay attention to filling the learning language content using professional direction. Nowadays, the professionals with high level of the foreign language in various fields are highly competitive and indispensable now. The obtained results of the research based on the effectiveness of modern methods` use and application in the classroom for preparing future specialists.

The article deals with issues of national and cultural identity in the context of globalization in various aspects: in relation to oneself, in relation to others; national. The article deals with the problem of identity in the cultural and ethnic context, its connection with personal and psychological relations, the General system of values, material and living conditions of the individual, as well as General economic, social and cultural interests.In modern scientific literature, the terms «mass society», «mass culture» and «mass consciousness»are often used. The article considers the content of these concepts from the point of view of identity. It is argued that the introduction of Americanized ersatz-culture is aimed at blurring the common true culture, including ethnic national culture the author makes a conclusion about the spiritual principles that unite all people of the Republic of Kazakhstan, reveals the idea of civil society, the Kazakh national idea in relation to the idea of Eurasianism, and shows the Kazakh national idea based on tolerance in the development of Kazakhstan.

The linguistic diversity in The Thief, a novel written by the Swedish author, Göran Tunström, has as a central element the negative influence of the father figure. The evolution of the characters is profoundly connected to childhood and to the difference between the way they speak at home and the way they express themselves in society or among friends and teachers. The insertion of dialects as well as the use of comparisons and metaphors regarding the sacred / profane world, seem to point that cultural identity and unity is, paradoxically, acquired through diversity. We intend to tackle the relationship between the individual and the group / the family by using linguistic analysis of various fragments. Our aim is to show that the transition from childhood to adolescence is not only revealing for the child itself, but also for the entire community, as it insists on how we all have multiple social roles, while we never cease to be our true selves.

AbstractIn the recent decades, we have witnessed a change of paradigm, from the national to the European paradigm, one that is not centered on the national culture but on the values of the united Europe. The symbols, values and traditions of EU increase its visibility and contribute to a unifying European identity. However, this identity is not a single entity but a composite of multiple, integrated elements, that are subject to continuous change. For citizens from different countries to assimilate and identify with the European creed, continuous transformations and adjustments are taking place, process in which some elements are enhanced, while others suffer transformations. The third millennium was often described by experts as the era of intercultural communication as intercultural dialogue is the territory in which cultural identity is constantly redefined and negotiated. Now that mass media has pushed further the frontiers of knowledge and that our world has become, as predicted by Marshall McLuhan, a “global village”, the issue that we are confronted with in times of crises is whether the world is really a true village, connected by such principles as solidarity, peace, harmony, love, or rather a jungle where only the fittest and strongest cultures will survive?

Based on the five elements of communication, this article analyzes the key elements of intercultural communication of films with Coco as a good example. It notes that in the modern globalization, all countries should continuously promote cultural communication, learn from each other, and promote the progress of the world as a whole. One way of achieving this is to make full use of new media and continuously explore new forms of intercultural communication, strengthen researches on intercultural communication, and resolve cultural differences. What’s more, each country should build on its own cultural identity and confidently disseminate its national culture. Only in these ways, can the human community of common destiny be consolidated, can the world be peaceful and prosperous.

Summary. When participants have to shift between four tasks that result from a factorial combination of the task dimensions judgment (numerical vs. spatial) and mapping (compatible vs. incompatible), a characteristic profile of shift costs can be observed that is suggestive of a hierarchical switching mechanism that operates upon a dimensionally ordered task representation, with judgment on the top and the response on the bottom of the task hierarchy ( Kleinsorge & Heuer, 1999 ). This switching mechanism results in unintentional shifts on lower levels of the task hierarchy whenever a shift on a higher level has to be performed, leading to non-shift costs on the lower levels. We investigated whether this profile depends on the way in which the individual task dimensions are cued. When the cues for the task dimensions were exchanged, the basic pattern of shift costs was replicated with only minor modifications. This indicates that the postulated hierarchical switching mechanism operates independently of the specifics of task cueing.
