Although it is impossible to distill the complexity of a university down to a single ranking position that represents the multiple missions of a university or the different stakeholders of ranking user, rankings are here to stay. It is essential that rankings publishers are clear about their objectives and use techniques to overcome bias. This paper discusses in detail some of the trends and bias found in data used in rankings and methods that can be used to overcome bias. It also discusses the motivations behind rankings and the influence of institution size on ranking outcome.

This research is a case study of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) in Palembang Polytechnic of Tourism website. The main objective of this research is to establish a plan for SEO in Palembang Polytechnic of Tourism (http://poltekpar-palembang.ac.id/) and to improve online visibility and ranking position in search engines (Google). It aims to bring in more international traffic and students to visit the website. SEO is a digital marketing technique to increase web accessibility. In the globalization world, people use search engines, such as Google, to know or find out more about various topics quickly and visually. Through a bibliographic review and qualitative analysis, the research focuses on the understanding of what SEO is and its implementation for the Palembang Polytechnic of Tourism website. The results show that the most important thing in making SEO plans is to increase visibility and branding on search engines (Google). SEO is done by developing website content and setting keywords as backlinks.

The largest video hosting service in the world is currently the YouTube platform. Having originated in the USA in 2005 the video hosting service very quickly expanded the scope of its geographical presence due to the ability to use the service in different countries. YouTube's monetization was based on an advertising model from the very beginning. The YouTube Premium service created inside the platform (previously called YouTube Red) allows you to watch content without ads by subscription. But the content model is not developing so rapidly and main financial flows continue to come from advertising. That is why it is worth understanding the possibilities of advertising on YouTube. The research identified integrated advertising on YouTube blogs which were selected according to various criteria: total number of subscribers, broadcast language, regular content publications (at least 1 publication per quarter), genre, ranking position and number of views. Advertisements were found present in all analyzed blogs while the types of advertising varied depending on the genre of the blog. The time a blogger spent on advertising also largely depended on the genre characteristics of the blog. Currently, one of the most popular types of advertising is self-promotion, since it is directly related to third-party bloggers' earnings. In the current research we analyzed advertising in the blogosphere based on monitoring several diverse thematic blogs and identified most common forms of advertising. The attempt to classify advertising opportunities in the video hosting user content seems important to us because it allows us to streamline the terminology and in the future develop a system of interaction between channels and advertisers.

Research background and hypothesis. The increasing demand for ever higher top level has meant greater interest and research into the factors which influence performance and sporting achievements.  Handball is a complex sport whereby performance can be analyzed and presented in a variety of ways. We hypothesized that teams with players with higher anthropometric indices  and greater sporting experience had better possibilities in winning a match-play. Research aim was to assess the interaction between players’ height, body mass, body mass index (BMI), age, sports experience and sport performance in the World Women’s Handball Championship’2009 (WWHC’2009). Research methods. The data sets were collected from the IHF website (http//www.ihf.info). We analyzed the height, body mass, body mass index (BMI), sporting experience (international matches played and goals scored) of 390 players as well as their influence on winning points (Pearson’s correlation) and final ranking position (Spearman’s Correlation) of WWHC’2009.Research results. Champions from Russia, the first four seat players and European women players were greater in body size (height, body mass), and sports experience. Discussion and conclusions. Teams composed of players with greater experience had more possibilities to win (r = 0.719; p < 0.001; Y = 0.1571x + 4.9104; r² = 0.5183), but body mass had negative influence (r = 0.317;  Y = 0.5353x – 25.598; r² = 0.1008) as well as BMI (r = –0.3300.; Y = –2.0762x + 57.273; r² = 0.1089). The height of players had moderate influence (r = 0.551; p < 0.001) on wining a match-play. It should be noted that the players in the last elite-level competition (European Women’s Handball Championship’2010) showed the same tendency and were taller and heavier than the players of WWHC’2009.Keywords: Women’s Handball, body mass, height.

The construction of an engine requires optimized geometry and superb material properties in various environments. Tensile and yield strength are not the only parameters essential to consider. Hardness, impact toughness, and ductile-brittle transition temperature (DBTT) are also crucial. In this paper, Balder, Chromium-Molybdenum-Vanadium-Nickel steel with low impact toughness attested is considered. It contains both high Nickel and high Vanadium content, a rare combination among iron-based alloys. This study aims at proving that conventional heat treatment can improve its impact toughness while maintaining hardness level, exceeding its to-date performance. Steel’s exact elemental composition was checked, and material samples’ hardness and impact toughness were measured. Four heat treatments were proposed, then hardness and impact toughness were measured again. It was established that impact toughness over three times higher than marketed (57.3 J against 17 J) can be achieved with simultaneous 2 HRC points (from 46.4 HRC to 48.4 HRC) rise in hardness. Achieved parameters place examined alloy at the high-ranking position among similar steels. Occurrence of temper embrittlement was avoided. Notably, the ductile-brittle transition was not observed in any sample.

This data descriptor describes Google search engine visibility data. The visibility of a domain name in a search engine comes from search engine optimization and can be evaluated based on four data metrics and five data dimensions. The data metrics are the following: Clicks volume (1), impressions volume (2), click-through ratio (3), and ranking position (4). Data dimensions are as follows: queries that are entered into search engines that trigger results with the researched domain name (1), page URLs from research domains which are available in the search engine results page (2), country of origin of search engine visitors (3), type of device used for the search (4), and date of the search (5). Search engine visibility data were obtained from the Google search console for the international online store, which is visible in 240 countries and territories for a period of 15 months. The data contain 123 K clicks and 4.86 M impressions for the web search and 22 K clicks and 9.07 M impressions for the image search. The proposed method for obtaining data can be applied in any other area, not only in the e-commerce industry.
