Abstract This article focuses on the question of how cooperative knowledge production takes place and, in particular, how novel knowledge is formed and implemented in organisational action. According to the current state of knowledge, this process, which results in a change in the way an organisation acts, is called social innovation. The framework for argumentation and reflection is provided by studies from the social work sciences on cooperative knowledge production and social innovation, as well as studies on the hybridity of knowledge and its interaction with the knowledge resources of scientific and non-scientific actors. Relevance structures are recognised in this article as a fundamental structure in the field of cooperative knowledge production; they significantly influence the question of how and when new knowledge leads to social innovation. A research project on homelessness serves as an example. Homelessness has been a research topic in Europe for many years. In Switzerland, however, there are hardly any scientifically sound studies and there are also few documented methods of action in practice. From this point of view, homelessness in Switzerland is therefore in need of innovation.

This article highlights how the social work academy can support innovative research, dissemination, and implementation and is a response to and extension of arguments made by Dr. Marilyn L. Flynn on innovation in social work. It argues that social work researchers need to strike a balance between the often slow and methodical scientific research community and the often rapid and reactive social innovation community to best respond to societal needs. From an emerging scholar’s point of view, it concludes by emphasizing how shifting priorities in social work tenure and promotion processes can broaden the impact of social work research.

The aim of this research was to determine the current state of multisectoral cooperation between the competent state bodies and institutions provided by the Law on Prevention of Domestic Violence, recognized as a basis for preventing domestic violence and providing protection and support to victims. The empirical findings were obtained by surveying 43 employees in the social work centres in the Srem administrative district, who act in cases of domestic violence. After data collection, they had to be organized, so the statistical method of descriptive statistics was applied and for that purpose, the statistical software package SPSS was used (ver. 20). The results of the research showed the efficiency of mutual cooperation between the competent authorities, but also the necessity of continuing the work on the reform of the above-mentioned legal text.

The present article is devoted to the problems of inclusion in modern Ukrainian society. The concept and essence of inclusion are studied from the point of view of the theory of social comprehension (of the essence of inclusive group), dynamics of social structure and social interactions. The inclusion is divided into social and educational forms according to the modern approaches to considering types of inclusion. The main forms of inclusion are analyzed from the point of view of pedagogical and social sciences. Special attention is given to the social inclusion in modern Ukrainian society. The comparative analysis of the categories «integration» and «inclusion» is carried out and the main common and distinctive features of these categories are determined in the article. It is said that social inclusion can be analyzed only in context of social exclusion, because they are both parts of the same social process. The potential of such further analysis are researched. The peculiarities of the process of social inclusion in modern Ukrainian society are analyzed. The main characteristics of social inclusion are described in the article on the basis of analysis of modern scientific literature. Special attention is given to the social inclusion in social work and social science. From the point of view of socio-pedagogical science social inclusion is analyzed as democratic action about comprehension somebody or the whole social group into some activity or cultural process. Social inclusion in modern Ukrainian society becomes social mechanism, some kind of an instrument, aimed at overcoming the barriers and constraints on the path to social well-being, which radically changes the existing state social politics. The results of the research are used in the social work, pedagogical and social sciences.

Attachment theory, as developed by Bowlby and Ainsworth, represented a major departure from the current theories of human development of the time, particularly in its rejection of the major tenets of psychoanalytic theory and its integration of core ideas from evolution theory and cybernetics (Ainsworth & Bowlby, 1991). Attachment theory posits that a foundational human instinct, the desire to achieve safety and protection through proximity to a protective figure, is responsible for the formation of a special class of life-long affectional bonds, referred to as “attachments.” Emotional security is derived to a great extent, according to the theory, from experience with caregivers who are consistently responsive to the developing infant’s expression of attachment behavior toward them. Forty years of empirical research has shown that attachment is a universal characteristic that predicts children’s development of cognitive and social competence, emotional regulation, and positive self-image (Weinfield, Sroufe, Egeland, & Carlson, 1999). Social work educators are currently challenged to better integrate the findings of attachment research into their curricula to reflect more the current state of developmental science.

Abstract In the National Association of Social Workers’ Code of Ethics, social workers are called on to promote meaningful involvement in decision making among vulnerable populations. The ethical imperatives and social justice implications associated with unequal participation suggest that the field of social work is uniquely situated to lead research and practice in the area of youth civic engagement. This article examines the current state of the social work literature regarding how young people participate civically. Authors identified 113 articles on this topic published over the past decade in journals with a large presence in social work or by social work authors. They present the findings of their exploratory research, with a focus on describing where this research is being published, the range of research foci, and the terms used to describe this work. Increased attention to promoting youth civic engagement is needed in the profession’s core journals. Based on the analysis of this literature, they recommend moving toward a cohesive body of social work scholarship that includes increased collaboration among scholars, more unified terms and language, increased range of research foci and methodologies, and more rigorous and comparative testing of strategies by which youths participate civically.

En esta investigación el objectivo es observar la situación de la Educación Física (EF) como disciplina mediante una indagación basada en la experiencia y los conocimientos de los profesionales en activo. Se aplica un cuestionario ad hoc a 36 profesionales en activo (maestros especialistas en EF) que participan en el prácticum de la mención del alumnado de 4º curso del grado de maestro/a de Primaria para que manifiesten los problemas reales de enseñanza, así como la importancia y el impacto social que tiene la EF como materia educativa. Se pretende también compartir diferentes puntos de vista de los profesionales para hacer propuestas para mejorar la formación de los profesionales de EF. Como conclusiones del estudio, se observa que la mayoría optan por la motivación como factor y condición que promueve el éxito de la EF como materia curricular y creen que se debería potenciar el trabajo cooperativo. Las características más valoradas de los profesores y profesoras de EF son: saber trabajar en equipo EF y la utilización de proyectos de innovación educativa, flexibles y adaptados al contexto, lo que supone un aprendizaje significativo. Los profesionales consideran que se debe potenciar la motricidad aplicando metodologías activas, dinámicas y reflexivas y dan mucha importancia al aprendizaje continuo. Por tanto, se proponen cursos de formación y la realización de intercambios de experiencias.Abstract. The present study holds the objective to observe the current state of Physical Education (PE) as a discipline through research based on the experience and the knowledge of active professionals. An ad-hoc questionnaire was completed by 36 active professionals (specialist teachers in PE) who participate in the practicum of majors of PE in the 4th year of Primary Education Bachelor. The instrument intends to bring to light the real problems of teaching, as well as the importance and the social impact that PE has as an educational subject. It also aims to share different points of view of active professionals and make proposals to improve the training of PE professionals. As conclusions of the study, most consider motivation as a factor and condition to promote the success of PE as a curricular subject and believe that cooperative work should be encouraged. The most valued characteristics of PE teachers are: knowing how to work as a PE team and the use of educational innovation projects that are flexible and adapt to the context, resulting in significant learning. Professionals consider that motor skills should be enhanced by applying active, dynamic and reflective methodologies and give great importance to ongoing learning. Therefore, proposals include training courses and exchanges of experiences.

Further education of the employees in the field of social work is one of the future challenges. The goals of further education are constantly changing with regard to the changes in society and the requirements of the clients of social services. Social work represents a multidisciplinary conception of the performed work and a continual need for further education. In organizations, further education is implemented through various educational methods, which are also evolving. The article aims to identify which educational methods in the field of social work are preferred, both within the leading managerial positions and within the ones of social workers, and to describe the goals of further education in both groups. The goal was achieved through the quantitative research conducted in both groups – i.e. the managers and the social workers. Using the Survio platform, the research addressed organizations providing social serviced according to the Register of Social Service Providers of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic. The results were processed using descriptive statistics, and conclusions were drawn based on the results. The results showed different preferences of educational goals for managers who prefer the expansion of competencies and for social workers who prefer development. Research into the preference of educational methods has found that managers and employees prefer professional lectures, self‑education and Internet resources.

Introduction: This bibliographic review article is the product of research on new technological trends, focusing on citizen security, carried out at the SIEL research hotbed of the Universidad del Valle-Buga headquarters, Colombia in 2019. Problem: Investigate the new technological trends aimed at the citizen security sector. Objective: Identify the new technological trends in the sector of citizen security, its application in the world and expose the current state in Colombia. Methodology: Documentary review of primary sources of the last 5 years, such as; scientific articles, government pages, laws, press releases and recognized newspapers. Results: Since MinTIC was created in Colombia, in partnership with different government entities, society in general has benefited from projects in areas such as education, health, housing and security. The modernization of control institutions in Colombia is evident being the security sector one of the most advantageous. Conclusion: In general terms, sectors such as technology and education are still lagging behind. As for the security sector, there is no doubt the effort and progress in research and development of new technologies present in the vast majority of government entities. Originality: new technological trends are investigated from the point of view of citizen security in several application scenarios. Limitations: For the most part, the review focuses on aspects of citizen security, indicating very little the social field

The aim of the undertaken topic is to analyze the phenomenon of cyberbullying in the context of social work, victimological problems, and the analysis of the online harassment process. The authors present the issue of cyberbullying in terms of definition and from the point of view of international researchers of this issue to highlight the possibility of discussing the topic of creating a social work profession in a school environment in the Slovak Republic. The authors identify participants in cyberbullying, i.e. an aggressor and a victim of cyberbullying from a social work perspective. The negative consequences of cyberbullying on the growth and development of children and youth and the social prevention of cyberbullying are shown in the article. Nowadays, in the Slovak Republic, ownership of a computer and constant Internet connection is no privilege. Everyone can use a computer, from children, students, and adults to seniors. Computers are almost everywhere. The possibilities of using the Internet are constantly expanding. For many people, computers become irreplaceable, some people are working via the Internet. Recently, social networks are becoming more and more popular, people come together in various virtual groups and share information about themselves. However, this increases the risk of misuse of information entrusted. It creates all sorts of phenomena, called cyberbullying.
