This chapter considers the fundamental characteristics of human cognition. It suggests that the capacity to make sense of the world involves a complex interaction between external realities and mental models. It considers that there are two complementary types of model—holistic representations, and models consisting of abstract componentsorganized in categories and hierarchies. It suggests that knowledge can be described as stable sets of models and their connections. It notes that reasoning is usually described as having two modes: Intuition operates rapidly and unconsciously; analysis requires sustained conscious effort. It argues that an absolute distinction between the two modes is artificial; intuition is usually the driving force, but effective reasoning depends on the synergy of both modes. It introduces the concept of bias and suggests that bias and intuition are inseparable.

Much of what Freud and Girard have said about the function of symbolic violence in religion has been persuasive. Even if one questions, as I do, Girard’s idea that mimetic desire is the sole driving force behind symbols of religious violence, one can still agree that mimesis is a significant factor. One can also agree with the theme that Girard borrows from Freud, that the ritualized acting out of violent acts plays a role in displacing feelings of aggression, thereby allowing the world to be a more peaceful place in which to live. But the critical issue remains as to whether sacrifice should be regarded as the context for viewing all other forms of religious violence, as Girard and Freud have contended.

ABSTRACT: The article deals with anthroponomy of the Arab-Persian origin that are devoted to the cults of the God, and related to them cognitive phraseologies in Turkic languages. The main cognitive concepts that are reflected in the national Turkic in verbal parasitological units from lingo-cultural and ethno linguistic aspects are analyzed. Now consider the language picture of the world in general human cognition in the unity of the world model, and with the same conceptual view of the world is a philosophical and philological concept. The study «Language world» and «Linguistic Map of the World» in the trinity «Language-thought-world» is one of the urgent problems of modern linguistics. Language world - a specific method for the language of reflection and representation of reality in language forms and structures in its relation with the person who is the central figure of the language. Keywords: anthroponyms, totemism, animism, semantics, names of people, image of the world, cult word.

The primary driving force for re-investments in wastewater treatment plants in Austria - and also other countries in Central Europe - is at present not an increase in load to treatment but a marked increase in effluent requirements to be fulfilled. (The re-investments necessary for sludge handling and treatment remain outside this paper.) Within a period of 20 years, the load specific requirements on aeration tank volume rose five- to tenfold, when Lv = 2.0 kg BOD5/(m3d) was the starting value, and roughly doubled for final clarifiers. In addition, the importance of the application and expansion of primary sedimentation decreased as well. This development over time in Central European countries as well as the need to utilize previous investments as long as possible - 35 to 60 years for civil works are common as periods of depreciation - indicate that investments in new plant at any location in the world have to consider the possible whole life cycle of a plant and that plant hydraulics becomes the “key hook” for expandability.

The professional smuggling of mass consumption products develops when demand for a product is not adequately fulfilled by the legitimate market. The difficulties encountered in supplying are, in most contemporary cases, caused by real rarity of the desired product. For other cases, however, the rarity is largely virtual in that government taxes aimed at the product in question lead to increasing the product's price to a prohibitive end. This was the case with cigarettes in Canada between 1985 and 1994. Before both, the federal and provincial, governments decided to drastically decrease cigarette taxes in February 1994, the price for a pack of cigarettes was five to six times higher than the same product in the United States. This article begins with a brief review of the contribution made by economists in regard to contemporary smuggling. Focus will be aimed at common characteristics of the smuggling phenomenon across the world. Elements which are more particular to the Canadian smuggling situation will be identified as well. While the difference in the price of cigarettes between Canada and the United States would seem to be the undeniable driving force behind the development of smuggling activities at the countries ' border, one key question remains unexplained. Why was the volume of contraband unequally distributed across Canada even though the price of cigarettes remained largely consistent throughout all provinces? The level of organization of smuggling networks was much higher in Eastern Canada, and particularly in Quebec, than it was in the western provinces. It is argued that the reasons for this are not only due to price, but to a series of political, historical, and geographical factors which allowed cigarette smugglers to function better in Quebec than in the rest of the country.

For a cylinder-beam integrated hydraulic press (CBIHP), the hydraulic cylinder is also functioned as an upper beam. It is the key structural component that outputs the driving force to forge parts. Compared with the traditional three-beam and four-column hydraulic press which has a cylindrical hydraulic cylinder, the structure and force distribution are significantly different for CBIHP. It is able to have higher nominal force and larger section of plunger which the pressure is applied on when the contour geometric dimension is the same. Also, CBIHP has lighter weight and larger section modulus when the nominal force is the same than the traditional hydraulic press. Finally, a 6300KN cylinder-beam integrated hydraulic press, which is the first CBIHP in the world and designed by Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) in 2012, is also introduced in this paper. It can be seen from the results of numerical simulation for the CBIHP that both of the stresses and displacements on the press in the loading process are allowable.

The paper presents a language of thought (a set of cognitive units and relations) used to provide non-verbal definitions for the following five concepts: ARMCHAIR, MUG, RAVINE, LAKE, TREE. These definitions make it possible to describe concepts on two levels of specificity. On the first level, a concept is presented as a holistic cognitive unit. On the second, more specific, level, the same concept is viewed as a partitive system, i.e. a hierarchical system of its parts, the latter being smaller concepts into which the original holistic unit is decomposed. A hypothesis is advanced that such structure is inherent to all visible objects. The partitive system is argued to play a major role in human cognition. It, first, provides for an in-depth understanding of the perceived objects through understanding the role of their parts, and, second, underlies the formation of the hierarchy of concepts with respect to their generality. Besides, it can be considered as one of the defining properties of the human species as it accounts for the human ability to purposefully change the world.

Waste the board is the fundamental problem that the world deals self reliant in case of creating country. The troubles within the waste corporation are that the waste holder at open spots advances beyond time before the begin of the partner cleaning process. It consequently precise numerous dangers, as an instance, lousy aroma and repulsiveness to that spot which can be the basic driving force for unfold of numerous illnesses. To avoid all such unsafe circumstance and maintain up open neatness and prosperity this work is mounted on an astute refuse device. The popular problem of the work is to expand a sagacious shrewd rubbish prepared gadget for a proper refuse the board .This paper introduces a pointy prepared shape for junk opportunity by using offering a caution hint to the huge town server for minute cleaning of waste with valid check reliant on level of waste filling. This technique is helped via the ultrasonic sensor that's interfaced with Arduino UNO to test the diploma of refuse crammed inside the dustbin and sends the caution to the everyday net server once if trash is crammed . The fuel sensor and the fire sensor are applied to take a look at the spoil of fire and it take a gander at the closeness of any risky fuel over the development holder. The fuel sensor and the fire sensor are used to take a gander at the wreck of fireplace and it look at the closeness of any risky fuel over the accumulation holder. The complete gadget is stored up by way of an embedded module combined with IOT Assistance and sensor. The non-stop status of ways waste is accumulated that might be watched and stuck up by means of the location authority with the guide. Despite this the crucial change measures will be balanced.

Most everyone agrees that context is critical to the pragmatic interpretation of speakers’ utterances. But the enduring debate within cognitive science concerns when context has its influence in shaping people’s interpretations of what speakers imply by what they say. Some scholars maintain that context is only referred to after some initial linguistic analysis of an utterance has been performed, with other scholars arguing that context is present at all stages of immediate linguistic processing. Empirical research on this debate is, in my view, hopelessly deadlocked. My goal in this article is to advance a framework for thinking about the context for linguistic performance that conceives of human cognition and language use in terms of dynamical, self-organized processes. A self-organizational view of the context for linguistic performance demands that we acknowledge the multiple, interacting constraints which create, or soft-assemble, any specific moment of pragmatic experience. Pragmatic action and understanding is not producing or recovering a “meaning” but a continuously unfolding temporal process of the person adapting and orienting to the world. I discuss the implications of this view for the study of pragmatic meaning in discourse.
