Abstract Background Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2 ) is responsible for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), a disease that had not been previously described and for which clinicians need to rapidly adapt their daily practice. The novelty of SARS-CoV-2 produced significant gaps in harmonization of definitions, data collection, and outcome reporting to identify patients who would benefit from potential interventions. Methods We describe a multicenter collaboration to develop a comprehensive data collection tool for the evaluation and management of COVID-19 in hospitalized patients. The proposed tool was developed by a multidisciplinary working group of infectious disease physicians, intensivists, and infectious diseases/antimicrobial stewardship pharmacists. The working group regularly reviewed literature to select important patient characteristics, diagnostics, and outcomes for inclusion. The data collection tool consisted of spreadsheets developed to collect data from the electronic medical record and track the clinical course after treatments. Results Data collection focused on demographics and exposure epidemiology, prior medical history and medications, signs and symptoms, diagnostic test results, interventions, clinical outcomes, and complications. During the pilot validation phase, there was <10% missing data for most domains and components. Team members noted improved efficiency and decision making by using the tool during interdisciplinary rounds. Conclusions We present the development of a COVID-19 data collection tool and propose its use to effectively assemble harmonized data of hospitalized individuals with COVID-19. This tool can be used by clinicians, researchers, and quality improvement healthcare teams. It has the potential to facilitate interdisciplinary rounds, provide comparisons across different hospitalized populations, and adapt to emerging challenges posed by the pandemic.

This study has conducted to reveal the effect of the problem based learning on academic success in the 6th grade math lesson. The working group of the study consists of 79 students who are 6th grade at Ismetpasa Secondary School in Düzce. The study has been designed in the model of pretest-posttest control group. "Mathematics success test" and "Semi-constructed interview form on the problem based learning" have been applied as data collection tool. Data has been tested with the analysis of both covariance and content. There is an important difference between pretest results and posttest results when the pretest points have been controlled. When the opinions of experimental group related to these learning methods have been examined these opinions provide the permanent learning, improve the success and develop the skills on problem solving.

Abstract Background Endometriosis is an invalidating gynaecological condition in women of reproductive age, and a frequent cause of infertility. Unfortunately, the condition is characterized by a long interval between onset of symptoms and diagnosis. GPs in the Netherlands are educated to provide basic gynaecological care and serve as gatekeepers for specialist medical care. Therefore, it is of great importance that they recognize signs and symptoms possibly caused by endometriosis to initiate adequate actions. Objective The main objective of this study was to identify barriers and facilitators to the timely diagnosis of endometriosis from the GPs’ perspective. Methods Semi-structured focus group discussions with GPs were organized throughout the Netherlands. The participants were encouraged to brainstorm about their perspective on daily practice regarding endometriosis and suggestions for interventions to enable early diagnosis and treatment. Analysis was based on grounded theory methodology. Results Forty-three GPs participated in six focus groups. Analysis of the transcripts revealed relevant determinants of practice in four main themes: professionals’ experience and competence, patient characteristics, guideline factors and professional collaboration. A lack of knowledge and awareness appeared to result in a low priority for establishing the diagnosis of endometriosis, especially in young women. Infertility, patient engagement and a recent serious case or training facilitated referral. Conclusion Several factors in daily primary health care contribute to the diagnostic delay in endometriosis. Future interventions to reduce this delay may be aimed at increasing awareness by means of education, incorporating the subject into national clinical guidelines and improvements in interdisciplinary collaboration.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui proses bimbingan keagamaan, fungsi bimbingan keagamaan serta hasil bimbingan keagamaan dalam meningkatkan kecerdasan spiritual remaja di Boarding School SMK PPN Tanjungsari. Dengan pertanyaan penelitian 1) Bagaimana proses bimbingan keagamaan di Boarding School SMK PPN Tanjungsari?, 2) Bagaiamana fungsi bimbingan keagamaan di Boarding School SMK PPN Tanjungsari?, 3) Bagaimana hasil bimbingan keagamaan dalam meningkatkan kecerdasan spiritual remaja di Boarding School SMK PPN Tanjungsari?. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan datanya dilakukan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi, dikarenakan masalah yang diteliti perlu dilukiskan secara sistematis dan faktual dengan menggambarkan keadaan atau status fenomena. Hasil bimbingan keagamaan di Boarding School SMK PPN adalah munculnya aspek-aspek kecerdasan spiritual pada remaja seperti kesadaran untuk menghayati proses ibadah bukan sebagai pengguguran kewajiban, terbiasa berperilaku baik, memiliki prinsip keadilan, memiliki prinsip kebenaran, mampu mengambil hikmah dari musibah yang dihadapinya, bersikap fleksibel, bersikap kritis dan merenungkan penyebab serta alasan segala sesuatu terjadi. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa bimbingan keagamaan di Boarding Schoool SMK PPN memiliki peranan yang sangat menunjang dalam meningkatkan kecerdasan spiritual remaja. The purpose of this study is to find out how the proccess of islamic guidance, function of islamic guidance, and result of islamic guidance to increase SpritualQuetiont in adolescence. With research questions 1) How the proccess of islamic guidance to increase spiritual quetiont on adolescence ?, 2) What is the function of islamic guidance to increase Spiritual Quetiont on adolescence?, 3) How are the results of islamic guidance to increase Spiritual Quetiont on adolescence?. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive approach with subject and object of research is guidancer. While the data collection tool in this study through observation, direct interview and written interviews. From the results of research conducted at Boarding School SMK PPN Tanjungsari, it appears of Spiritual Quetiont in adolescents. Such as the behavior of living the worship process, get used to behave well, be fair, be wise, able to take lessons from the difficulties they experienced, be flexible, be critical. So, we can conclude that islamic Guidance has a very supportive role in increasing adolescent Spiritual Quetiont.

Objective: Safety and efficacy of ECG-guided PICC insertion using a new silicon catheter with a conductive tip was evaluated in daily practice. Methods: A retrospective study was conducted on 1659 patients who accepted successful tip-conductive PICC placement and clinically followed-up until the catheter removal between January 2018 and April 2019. Baseline of patient characteristics, catheter placement characteristics, date of dressing changes as well as records of catheter-related complications were extracted from a special designed mobile APP. Results: The first-attempt success (success of placing catheter tip to the ideal position by primary indwelling operation) rate of PICC placement was 99.3%. The average duration of PICC placement was 128.7 ± 39.5 days and 1535 patients (92.5%) reached the therapy end-point without any complications and removed the catheter normally. The cumulative rates of total complications were 7.5%, including exit site infection (2.5%), phlebitis (0.9%), DVT (1.0%), catheter malposition (1.1%), catheter breakage (0.1%), and liquid extravasation (1.8%). In multivariable logistic regression analyses, hyperlipidemia, diabetes mellitus, lung cancer, stomach cancer, and lymphoma were significantly associated with increased risk of complications, as the independent risk factors. Conclusions: This retrospective clinical study demonstrates that ECG-guided insertion of a new tip-conductive PICC is associated with a high rate of first-attempt success and low rate of catheter related complications.
