During the printing process, invariable tension is very important to make sure the high printing quality. It’s well known that the relation of tension and tape velocity is strong-coupling based on the model of tension control, the modeling of tension possesses varies a lot in the control process, and various disturbances are inevitable during printing. All of these make the tension control systems unstable and affect the printing quality. This paper purposes a method to decrease the strong-coupling relation between speed and tension and control the speed-tension accurately. Based on the shaft-less printing press, the unwinding tension model and servo driver model are given. Decoupling controller is designed in this paper, and simulation results show that this method can improve the coupling degree and control performance.

In the automatic control system of industrial field, the production process monitoring and control process is dependent on Mutual coordination of various automation instrument, computer and corresponding actuators. The coordination is accurate or not, the key is signal transmission quality among those agencies. The application and selection of isolation device directly affect signal transmission. This paper discusses the application and choose of industrial site isolator from isolation principle, the principle and choose for isolator, commissioning and parameter selection based on practical application.

Automatic roadways on gob-side entry retaining with no-pillars are used for longwall mining technology. The mining technology with no-pillars can recover coal pillar resources and reduce the amount and cost of roadway excavations. Automatic roadway technology for cutting roofs by combined support on gob-side entry retaining with no-pillars is adopted for the condition of thick immediate roof and medium-thick coal seam mining, cutting off the immediate roof and the main roof on the gob by combined support. The fractured roof forms gangue blocks to fill the gob and loads the overlying strata. The gangue control system is placed on the roadside, which controls the caving gangue to form a gangue rib. In this paper, the viewpoints and key technologies (the roof-cutting technology, the reinforcement and support technology, the gangue rib control technology, and the auxiliary support technology) of automatic roadway technology for cutting roofs by combined support on the gob-side entry retaining with no-pillars are introduced. Furthermore, the formation and control process are explained. The numerical simulation is used to simulate and analyze the roof hanging and the roof cutting structures. In addition, a field engineering test is performed. The field test shows that automatic roadway technology for cutting roofs by combined support on gob-side entry retaining with no-pillars is feasible. This process uses construction techniques and technologies to meet on-site production needs. The combined support has high resistance strength and is shrinkable. In engineering applications, the combined support has a low damage rate. The deformation of the automatic roadway with gob-side entry retaining is small, and the control effect is significant.

This work was carried out in accordance with the Digital Economy program of the Russian Federation and is therefore relevant. The program posed the following tasks for universities: the digital transformation of universities and the training of specialists of the digital economy. The Ministry of Education has articulated these issues as the creation of the Digital University. The paper proposes a model that can be laid the foundation of the Digital University. The model was developed on the basis of an analysis of the development of education in the fi of digitalization over the past 20 years, an assessment of the readiness of the leading universities of the Russian Federation to transform at present, and their own experience in using digital technologies. The proposed model satisfies the following requirements: openness of the system for students and teachers; the student’s participation in the formation of the trajectory of his own learning; the ability to access additional resources, courses and choose the places for practical training; formation and analysis of the digital trace; the use of intelligent methods for assessing acquired knowledge and competencies. The main blocks of the model are identified and the tasks for each block are formulated, which must be solved at the stage of creating the Digital University. The paper proposes approaches to their solution, technologies that the authors tested, evaluated and published the results in their previous works. In conclusion, we note that to create a Digital University, first of all, it is necessary: expand the base of control and training materials, modify, improve their forms; implement software smart systems for training and control; form a digital student trace, digital passports of information resources and, on their basis, form an individual learning path, an image of a specialist; develop learning scenarios for different images of students, goals, objectives; integrate intellectual resources of science and education; automate the management of the learning and control process as much as possible.

This chapter argues for an ‘emergent city’ urban policy, inspired by organisers of civic parade in Manchester which involved over 1,800 participants from 90 community groups. The analysis compares the top-down, command-and-control process of cultural strategy development in the city with the nurturing emergent approach of the organisers commissioned by the council to produce a civic parade. Drawing on parade making as a cultural trope, the chapter describes how the parade makers held back, allowing the parade shape to develop rather than over-directing it. It suggests that city decision makers can learn from this restrained approach.

Decentralized, peer-to-peer command and control is a key principle of network-centric operations that has received a lot of scholarly attention. So far, robust networking, another principle, has remained rather underexposed in the academic debate. This chapter introduces theory on modular organizing to start a discourse on network robustness from an organizational design perspective. Above all, the chapter makes clear that the level of system decomposition influences the command and control process of composite military structures. When military organizations follow a fine-grained modularization approach, the structure of a task force deployed may become complex, asking for extra coordination mechanisms to achieve syntheses between the many contributing functional organizational components. In addition, it is argued that modularity's principle of near-decomposability has to be incorporated into the available mathematical models on network-centric operations. A point of concern, in this respect, is that the current modeling parameters make no clear distinction between the different types of actors—or nodes—in a military network structure, whereas in reality, technological, organizational, and human actors all live by their own specific rules.

To achieve its goals, hotel requires a good planning and control in order to run its implementation in accordance to the policy that has been assigned. Budget is an important element and a centerpiece in the planning and control process. The aim of the current study is to find out whether locus of control can moderate the impact of budgetary participation and budget emphasis on budgetary slack. This study was conducted on 4-star hotels in Kuta district. The sampling method used was saturation. There were 30 hotels used as the sampe with 97 respondents. Questionnaire was used to collect the data. To analyze the data, Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) testing was applied. The study found that locus of control could strengthen the impact of budgetary participation and budget emphasis on budgetary slack. It can be concluded that the higher the participation given and the budget emphasis from the head moderated by locus of control, the higher the budgetary slack. Keyword: budgetary participation, budget emphasis, locus of control, budgetary slack
