This paper introduces a high-performed high-availability in-cloud enterprise resources planning (in-cloud ERP) which has deployed in the virtual machine cluster. The proposed approach can resolve the crucial problems of ERP failure due to unexpected downtime and failover between physical hosts in enterprises, causing operation termination and hence data loss. Besides, the proposed one together with the access control authentication and network security is capable of preventing intrusion hacked and/or malicious attack via internet. Regarding system assessment, cost-performance (C-P) ratio, a remarkable cost effectiveness evaluation, has been applied to several remarkable ERP systems. As a result, C-P ratio evaluated from the experiments shows that the proposed approach outperforms two well-known benchmark ERP systems, namely, in-house ECC 6.0 and in-cloud ByDesign.

The article is dedicated to pointing out the main principles of choosing modern enterprise resource planning (ERP) system for highly technological domestic enterprises. The article provides criteria for choosing ERP system and the risk group for their implementation. The close dependence of the success of the implementation of ERP systems on the proportion of projects for which the budget has not been exceeded has been revealed; the share of projects for which the excess of the actual period over the planned period of the project occurred and the share of implementation of solutions of the “box” type. The authors conclude that it is necessary to develop an information system that meets the specifics of a particular enterprise, as well as careful planning for the timing and cost of implementing this system.

Implementing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) projects in many organizations are faced with failure concept in recent years. Researchers focused to implement ERP projects successfully by proposing the success model. However, through these attentions to get ERP benefits, the ERP failure measurement model is required. Therefore, the aim of this study is to develop the instruments for ERP post-implementation failure measurement model. To achieve this outcome, the study firstly evaluates the suitability of Technology-Organization-Environment framework for the proposed conceptual model. Constructs were used for this model included two formative and six reflective constructs. A questionnaire was developed to test the validity and reliability of instrument items. A survey was conducted among Iranian industries to collect data and data analyzed by Smart PLS software. The results indicated that all instruments items included 37 critical risk factors (CRFs) as measurement were acceptable for the ERP post-implementation failure model.

Use of ERPS (Enterprise Resource Planning System) in healthcare sector has positive impacts. The purpose of this research is to find out the individual and organizational impact in healthcare sector. Hypotheses were postulated that the use of ERPS has positive individual and organizational impacts. A research questionnaire was used to test these hypotheses which have twelve dimensions for both impacts. This instrument was adopted from literature and self-administrated to 504 individuals with response rate of 60% and only 56% of questionnaires were used. The results of this study revealed that the use of ERPS has positive individual and organizational impacts. This study will help the healthcare organizations to find out impacts of ERPS in healthcare sector and also to better understand the individual and organizational impacts.

Information systems have evolved at a continual pace since administrations began to develop greater interest in production processes and supply chains. This created systems like Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), and Manufacturing Resources Planning (MRPII). This research discusses a literature search conducted to map the multicriteria models used to select ERP systems. As a result, this article proposes criteria and subcriteria to be used in the selection of ERP systems. The basic structure is developed around a tree and subcriteria tree that can be used as a checklist for companies wishing to acquire an ERP system.

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) have played an important role in economic development. The increasing number of SMEs have resulted in the business landscape to become more and more competitive. This has made SMEs to also undergo great challenges to be able to maintain their existence and expand their businesses. It is argued that the enterprise resource planning system (ERPs) can improve business performance. Therefore, the primary purpose of this study is to examine the impact of an ERPs usage on the financial and non-financial performance of the Saudi SMEs. An exploratory study has been used to identify the factors contributing to the effective and successful use of an ERP system. The findings indicate seven contingency factors. Based on the exploratory study results, three hypotheses have been developed and tested in a quantitative study. A survey is constructed and sent to 200 Saudi SMEs that adopted the ERP systems. About 120 valid responses have been received. For data analysis and hypothesis testing, a structural equation modelling (SEM) tool has been adopted. The results depict that management support, user satisfaction, and training significantly impact the ERPs usage. Another significant finding is that ERP systems enhance SMEs’ performance.

Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems claim to meet the information needs of organizations. These off-the-shelf software packages replace hard to maintain solutions created by IS departments or older off-the-shelf packages that often provided only piecemeal solutions to an organization’s information needs. ERP systems evolved from material requirements planning (MRP) systems and manufacturing resources planning (MRP II) systems. ERP serves the entire enterprise, not just manufacturing and inventory control as with its predecessors. ERP integrates information for the entire organization in a single database. But ERP implementations are often complex and experience serious problems. Failures, abandoned projects, and general dissatisfaction have been well publicized in the business press. ERP systems are “expensive and difficult to implement, often imposing their own logic on a company’s strategy and existing culture” (Pozzebon, 2000, p. 1015).

This chapter introduces basic differences between Free/Open Source Enterprise Resources Planning systems (FOS-ERP) and Proprietary ERP (P-ERP), revisiting the previous work of Carvalho (2008). Taking into account that some years has passed and the economic downturn came, it updates key aspects of FOS-ERP under both vendor and adopter perspectives. Like its predecessor, this chapter contributes to broaden the discussion around FOS-ERP, showing that its differences from its proprietary counterpart go beyond the cost factor.

Titis Sempurna is a company engaged in oil and gas, which has implemented an ERP (Enterprise Resources Planning) system. website-based which means the system can be used where I am and anytime, but website-based ERP systems have weaknesses, the possibility of the system being hacked by hackers because everyone can find out the address of the ERP system in PT.Titis Sempurna. This certainly can lead to concerns of users of ERP systems that include parts of accounting, purchase, warehouse, and human resource development (HRD), because the system cannot be guaranteed security. other than that the ERP system is also too complex and difficult for users to understand as in the purchase user often experiences constraints when the user wants to import PO data. This happens because the use, implementation and integration of the ERP system is difficult to apply in a company and therefore the need for usability testing to measure the quality of the ERP system is done so that the level of usability or usability of the system is expected and later the results of this research are expected later can provide usability or system usability which includes Learnability, Efficiency, Memorability, Errors, and Satisfaction ERP systems for the future.
