The aim of this study was to develop a regional landslide stability analysis method considering the combined impact of rainfall and the roots of vegetation in densely vegetated areas. A typical mountainous watershed in the Nanling National Nature Reserve of South China was chosen as the study area. First, the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) method was used to obtain surface element information including topography, vegetation, and landslides. Five main plant species were identified. The RipRoot model was then used to calculate the additional cohesion of these five plant species, and the relationship between the root systems of the different plant species and the soil shear strength was subsequently revealed. Finally, the root cohesion was introduced into the stability index mapping model (SINMAP), and the receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) method was used to calculate the accuracy of slope stability when considering only soil cohesion as well as the composite cohesion of both soil and roots. The results showed significant differences in the root cohesion of different plants in the study area and a significant increase in the calculation accuracy (from 90% to 95.6%) when root cohesion was considered in the landslide stability calculation. These study results not only enrich theoretical studies on the impact of vegetation roots on landslide stability but also provide a scientific support for preventing disasters in mountainous landslide-prone areas.

Based on the FEM analysis of unsaturated slope seepage and strength of unsaturated soil, and adopted the assumption of rigid body limit equilibrium to calculate safe coefficient of landslides, a new slope stability analysis method is promoted and the calculation program called USSP is composed and verified. The method could consider the impact of rainfall and water change to slope stability. Compared with GeoSlope package, it is more practical in rainfall or variation of ground water level condition.

The importance of understanding the underlying characteristics of private placement Announcement Effect attracts much attention from academic researchers and financial practitioners. Due to the overwhelming complexity of the financial market, many traditional methods such as intervention method and event study fail to produce consistently good analysis results. Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD), proposed by Huang et al., appears to be a promising data analysis method for nonlinear and non-stationary time series. In this paper, innovative EMD-based multi-scale event analysis method is proposed to estimate the impact of Announcement Date Effect on stock price volatility, and then take illustrative FangDa Group (000055 in Shenzhen Stock Market) to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. The case study results show that this approach is a promising method from the multi-scale point of view to analyze the impact of Announcement Date Effect in stock market.

The stability analysis and evaluation is the base of the landslide prevention, at the same time have improvement guidance to the landslide prediction. Divided the Chinese landslide stability analysis of research history into three stages:①experience analysis and evaluation stage;②half experience and semi theoretical analysis and evaluation stage;③theoretical development and the deeping stage. Described the research situation, trend and existing problems of the slide stability analysis and evaluation, get a clear conclusion, put forward my own understanding.

A static-stability calculation method for ships which use the second-development of Solid Edge is presented in this paper. The second-development of Solid Edge applied Visual Basic to divide the waterplane and measure the parameters concerned static-stability calculation such as the volume and center of the underwater model. Furturemore, it makes the statics-stability calculation be convenient that the paragraph of static-stability is calculated on the parameters and the dismiss angle is returned. According to the comparison of the experiments and the theory, including different forms of superstructure models, it can be proved that this method is reliable and effective in the static-stability calculation for ships.

This study uses the DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) method to estimate the technical efficiency index of 34 Vietnamese commercial banks in the period 2007-2015, and then it analyzes the impact of income diversification on the operational efficiency of Vietnamese commercial banks through a censored regression model - the Tobit regression model. Research results indicate that income diversification has positive effects on the operational efficiency of Vietnamese commercial banks in the research period. Based on study results, in this research some recommendations forpolicy are given to enhance the operational efficiency of Vietnam’s commercial banking system.

Abstract: This research aims to analyze the impact of Janti Flyover Construction toward the growth of layout at Janti Urban Area, including structured space, open space, and linkage. Method used for data collecting are observation, air photograph monitoring, and interview, whereas the analysis method is qualitative description, which is the superimposed method of two layers, that are the layout condition before and after flyover construction. The result shows that the impact of Janti Flyover construction can be seen on building mass (solid), the increasing number of open spaces, including the road network, parking place, and park, whereas the relation between spaces, visually and structurally, can be seen on the growth of buildings which have new shapes and styles, therefore the performance of the overall building does not have a proportional shape. Considering Janti Street at the collective relation, its role is getting stronger as the main frame road network. Keywords: Flyover construction, layout changing, Janti AreaAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pembangunan Jalan Layang Janti terhadap perkembangan tata ruang Kawasan Janti, meliputi ruang terbangun, ruang terbuka, serta hubungan antar ruang (“linkage”).

By the year 2030, Malaysian population will experience the after effects of the rapid growth of ageing society. This paper investigates the impact of seamless integration of horticultural activity in the new residential typology of retirement community. It is believed that horticultural therapy is not only beneficial for physical and psychological but also promotes socialisation opportunities among the elderly. Comparative analysis method on selected precedent studies has been carried out and analysed in accordance with Malaysian context. Initial findings indicate that a retirement community with horticultural activity gives therapy for healthier well-being. This therapeutic activity can be apositive change in elderly lifestyle and essential towards the establishment of retirement community in Malaysia.

Subject. This article discusses the role of social infrastructure in the national economy and analyzes the relationship between the notions of Infrastructure, Service Industry and Non-Productive Sphere. Objectives. The article aims to outline a methodology for development of the social infrastructure of Russia's regions. Methods. For the study, we used the methods of statistical and comparative analyses. The Republic of Crimea and Rostov Oblast's social infrastructure development was considered as a case study. Results. The article finds that the level of social infrastructure is determined by a number of internal and external factors. By analyzing and assessing such factors, it is possible to develop promising areas for the social sphere advancement. Conclusions. Assessment and analysis of internal factors largely determined by the region's characteristics, as well as a comprehensive consideration of the impact of external factors will help ensure the competitiveness of the region's economy.
