Online museum information resource systems are getting popular these days which allow the users to get detailed information about the objects of their interest, and the user preferences are stored to search for related artifacts considering his/her online behavior. The behavior of users browsing online is integrated to capture relevant information which is integrated into museum information resources. Unfortunately, present implementations have errors in integration and optimization system, so a wireless network-based museum user behavior information integration system is proposed to calculate the user’s interest in museum’s cultural relics. The user behavior information resource model is developed based upon the degree of user interest, and forgetting functions with different decay rates are employed to describe changes in the interest level. This information is then used to construct users’ interest matrices. This matrix also contains information regarding the cultural relics that users have not yet visited. The system will introduce the interest weights of feature words to take the top features of the user behavior information for the integration of the users’ behavior and to combine the feature vectors that can represent the overall trajectory. Moreover, those feature vectors are described that can represent the local trajectory into feature vector to identify the slow-moving sparse targets, which is then utilized for the integration of users’ behavior information. The simulation tests prove that the proposed method can achieve low error in the integration process of user behavior information resources, thereby yielding good results.

A recommender system is an important tool to help users obtain content and overcome information overload. It can predict users’ interests and offer recommendations by analyzing their history behaviors. However, traditional recommender systems focus primarily on static user behavior analysis. Recently, with the promotion of the Netflix recommendation prize and the open dataset with location and time information, many researchers have focused on the dynamic characteristics of the recommender system (including the changes in the dynamic model of user interest), and begun to offer recommendations based on these dynamic features. Intuitively, these dynamic user features provide us with an effective method to learn user interests deeply. Based on the observations above, we present a dynamic fusion model by integrating geographical location, user preferences, and the time factor based on the Gibbs sampling process to provide better recommendations. To evaluate the performance of our proposed method, we conducted experiments on real-world datasets. The experimental results indicate that our proposed dynamic recommender system with fused time and location factors not only performs well in traditional scenarios, but also in sparsity situations where users appear at the first time.

The article examines the phenomenon of the influence of social networks on the modern Ukrainian consumer, the level of trust to the information resource placed on communication platforms. The aim of the article was to outline the function of social networks as a communication platform, demonstrates the real level of information impact in social networks on Ukrainians. The following aim based on such kind of resources: the analysis of scientific literature, the coexistence of existing points of view, questionnaires (to study the point of view of Ukrainians regarding the impact of social networks). Attention is paid to studying the functions of social networks from the point of view of expanding the spectrum of influence to the audience, the possibility of creating a page of leadership opinion (for example was used the «Facebook» which is very popular network in Ukraine). As a result, 1500 Ukrainians questionnaires were conducted during the survey, demonstrated the level of users’ trust in information resources. We have seen that this level is quite high and sometimes exceeds the trust of traditional media.

Cloud computing technology created a brand new approach for further information resources management and utilization. Based on exploring characteristics and applications of cloud computing technology, the study in this paper is focused on cloud service with information resources. The aim of this study is to construct a cloud service model, namely Information Resource as a Service (IRaaS). Our model depicts the components of IRaaS and relationships among those components, which builds up a prime foundation for further studying on both information resource management and service.

Objective: This study analyzed data from a study on the value of libraries to understand the specific role that the MEDLINE database plays in relation to other information resources that are available to health care providers and its role in positively impacting patient care.Methods: A previous study on the use of health information resources for patient care obtained 16,122 responses from health care providers in 56 hospitals about how providers make decisions affecting patient care and the role of information resources in that process. Respondents indicated resources used in answering a specific clinical question from a list of 19 possible resources, including MEDLINE. Study data were examined using descriptive statistics and regression analysis to determine the number of information resources used and how they were used in combination with one another.Results: Health care professionals used 3.5 resources, on average, to aid in patient care. The 2 most frequently used resources were journals (print and online) and the MEDLINE database. Using a higher number of information resources was significantly associated with a higher probability of making changes to patient care and avoiding adverse events. MEDLINE was the most likely to be among consulted resources compared to any other information resource other than journals.Conclusions: MEDLINE is a critical clinical care tool that health care professionals use to avoid adverse events, make changes to patient care, and answer clinical questions.

Traditionally, administrative computing has been the main, or often only, unit in a campus developing and maintaining the basic operating systems of an institution (McKinney et al., 1987). Information resources have been confined to an infrastructure, such as a mainframe computer or minicomputers, which processes registration, financial aid, and other services (Van Dusen, 1997). The advent of increasingly sophisticated software and hardware tools has challenged the centralization of the control and manipulation of information resources. Crow and Rariden (1993) describe an ideal information resource management model as follows: Powerful software tools are available that can essentially eliminate the technical expertise necessary to process either university-wide data or off-campus research databases. … Students, faculty, and administrators will be able to ask and answer their own data-related questions from their desks without the assistance or intervention of a computer center’s staff. (p. 467) To date, no institution has achieved this ideal (Van Dusen, 1997). However, colleges and universities are making progress toward it. This chapter describes the experiences of two institutions, University of Redlands and Cabrillo College, as they implement similar relational database systems. It describes the effects of the implementation process on the institutional administrative cultures, and the implications for information resource management.

This chapter considers the change in information seeking behaviour of tourists as a result of the increased use of the World Wide Web as an information resource in the context of information services provided by visitor information centres (VICs). The theoretical approach adopts the model of expectation-disconfirmation effects on Web customer satisfaction. The chapter proposes that visitor information centres are analogous to an information system and that the user experience of visiting the centre can partially be explained by users perception of the information quality of information resources used at the centre and a prior use of the Web. The research proposition explored in the reported research is that a priori usage of the Web may influence tourists’ perceptions of the information services provided by visitor information centres. In order to investigate this proposition a survey was conducted at the Sydney visitor information centre resulting in 519 responses. The analysis of the data collected, using structural equation modeling, found that perceived information quality of staff and brochures used at the centre explained 63% of the variance of the user experience at the centre, a prior use of the Web did not explain any of the variance. The implications for VICs’ strategic information resource management to meet visitor needs are discussed.

Based on big data, this paper starts from the behavior data of users on social media, and studies and explores the core issues of user modeling under personalized services. Focusing on the goal of user interest modeling, this paper proposes corresponding improvement measures for the existing interest model, which has great difference in interest description among different users and it is difficult to find the user interest change in time. For the above problems, this paper takes user-generated content and user behavior information as the analysis object, and uses natural language processing, knowledge warehouse, data fusion and other methods and techniques to numerically analyze user interest mining based on text mining and multi-source data fusion. We propose a user interest label space mapping method to avoid data sparse problem caused by too many dimensions in interest analysis. At the same time, we propose a method to extract and blend the long-term and short-term interests, and realize the comprehensive evaluation of interests. In the analysis of the big data phase, the user preference social property application preference value law, it is expected to achieve user Internet social media application preference data mining from the perspective of big data.

This paper aims to explore the impact of user behavior on information diffusion in D2D (Device-to-Device) communications. A discrete dynamical model, which combines network metrics and user behaviors, including social relationship, user influence, and interest, is proposed and analyzed. Specifically, combined with social tie and user interest, the success rate of data dissemination between D2D users is described, and the interaction factor, user influence, and stability factor are also defined. Furthermore, the state transition process of user is depicted by a discrete-time Markov chain, and global stability analysis of the proposed model is also performed. Finally, some experiments are examined to illustrate the main results and effectiveness of the proposed model.
