This research is quasi experiment, with non-equivalent research design post-test only control group design. The sample of the study was 41 students, consisting of 21 students of grade V SD N 3 Bondalem as experimental group and 20 students of grade V SD N 4 Bondalem as the control group. Sample selection using random sampling technique. Skill reading comprehension data is collected with multiple choice test instruments. Data analysis used descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis (t-test). The results showed that thitung> ttable (tcv = 16,559 > tobs = 2,042). Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference of reading comprehension skills of students who are taught by using learning strategy of Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA) with flip chart and students who are not learned by using learning strategy of Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA) chart on on fifth graders of Tejakula district primary schools cluster IV academic year 2017/2018.

research was motivated by the low skills of students reading comprehension main focus on subjects Indonesian. Students are still not able to control aspects of reading would like to understand the content of reading, determining the main idea or infer the content of reading. The study was conducted in class V SDN Cibukamanah Cibatu District of Purwakarta. There are 28 students involved in the study, which consisted of 13 male students and 15 female students. The method used in this research is the Classroom Action Research (CAR), which consists of four phases: planning, implementation, observation and reflection and is done in two cycles. Data were collected through observation and preliminary tests. Seen from the initial test results showed that the students only scored an average of 59.82 with a percentage of 59.82% are less and does not reach the predetermined value KKM is 63. To overcome these problems, researchers applied learning models Cooperative Integrated Reading Composition (CIRC). The purpose of this study was to determine the activity and student learning outcomes in reading comprehension skills, after applying the model of Cooperative Integrated Reading And Composition. The findings of the research results can be seen from the acquisition percentage mastery learning achievement of students overall from starting the first cycle which scored an average of 70.8 with a percentage of 70.71% in the category quite well. Then increased in the second cycle the average value obtained at 75.89 with the percentage of 75.89% uncategorized well. From these results, it can be concluded that the application of the model Cooperative Integrated Reading And Composition (CIRC) can improve student learning outcomes, especially reading skills of understanding that seen at the end of each lesson the first cycle and the second cycle showed a considerable increase in value and target indicators in addition to improving learning outcomes also increase the activity of students during the learning process in class V SDN Cibukamanah.

The study aimed to assess the effectiveness of a computer program based on Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE) Model on the achievement of Ninth Graders’ listening and Reading Comprehension Skills in English. The study sample comprised 70 ninth graders during the second semester of the academic year 2016/2017. The selected students were distributed into two groups: an experimental group and a control one. A computer program based on Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE) was prepared, and a 40-item listening test in addition to a 40-item reading comprehension test were designed according to modules outcomes which were presented in (Teachers’ Book Action Pack 9). Validity and reliability were ensured for both tests. The results showed a statistically significance difference at (α=0.05) between the mean scores of the control compared to the experimental group on both tests (listening achievement test and reading comprehension achievement test) due to the independent variable implementing a computerized program based on ADDIE Model in favor of the experimental group.

The research employed quasi experiment methods with a nonequivalent group design. The research sample was selected purposively from fourth grade students in primary schools in Cimahi City. The data were collected using the test of reading comprehension skills and were analyzed using inferential statistics with the assistance of the SPSS 21.0 program. Through this research, the researchers are expected that the online magazine-based reading workshop model has an effect on the improvement of the fourth-grade students’ reading comprehension skills.

The article presents a comparative study of reading comprehension skills in students aged 12–13 years. The perception of text on paper and on electronic media is monitored. The experiment was performed under four experimental conditions – reading on paper (the time is not limited), reading on electronic text (the time is not limited), reading on electronic media with fast and slow slide exposition (the time is limited). In the first experimental condition a gaze tracking system (Eye Tracking) was used to trace the mechanism of text perception. In each of the experimental conditions the reading comprehension is monitored with a comprehension questionnaire. The results of the experiment show that when reading text up to one page there is no difference in the levels of reading comprehension on paper and on electronic text. Some features of the participants’ reading style were also traced, describing similar experiments conducted using a gaze tracking system.

The list of reading comprehension skills in its final form consisted of (25) skills. The results of the study showed that reading comprehension skills obtained an unbalanced ratio in the literal text training. The level of verbal skills attained the highest level of availability (59.7%), while the training lacked all the skills related to the level of tactile understanding. The remaining skills were taken into account (25.2%), critical level skills (11.8%), and creative level skills (3.4%). In the light of the results of the research, a proposed scenario for literacy training was presented, which contributes to the treatment of shortcomings
