The article presents the results of the lexicographic work of the Department of Linguistics of the Institute of History, Language and Literature of the Ufa Federal Research Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences over the past century. From the moment of the creation of the Institute, the lexicographic work has become one of the main in its activities. The efforts of the Institute staff have created and are still creating numerous dictionaries related to various lexicographic types. Among them are spelling dictionaries that codify the literary norms of the language, terminological dictionaries that cover various branches of science, technology and production, they laid the foundations of a new scientific terminology and scientific style of the Bashkir language. Today, there are more than sixty Bashkir terminological dictionaries. Bilingual and multilingual dictionaries are designed to meet the needs of bilingual and multilingual readers, educational dictionaries meet the didactic objectives. The dialectological dictionaries contain especially valuable information on the peculiarities of dialects of the Bashkir language. A lot of semasiological and word-formation dictionaries help to establish roots and semantic features of the Bashkir language. Creating onomastic dictionaries is one of the priorities in the activities of the Institute. Among the dictionaries on ethnolinguistics, dictionaries of mythological vocabulary stand out, where for the first time in Turkology lexemes on the mythology of the people are presented. In the Department of Linguistics, there is a card file of standard and dialect vocabulary of the Bashkir language. Its volume is over 3 million units. The card file was accumulated as a result of linguistic expeditions of different years. The card file is replenished to this day. Based on its materials, full explanatory dictionaries were published, first a monolingual two-volume dictionary (1993), then a multilingual ten-volume Academic Dictionary of the Bashkir Language (2011–2018). The dictionaries are designed to help comprehend the secrets of the native language. An important role is played by modern electronic dictionaries. It was the Department of Linguistics (with its dictionary, dialectology and toponymy sectors in different years) that predominantly prepared and published these lexicographic works. In recent years, the Department’s staff have been compiling an etymological dictionary of the Bashkir language. The article also describes the lexicographic publications in terms of their significance in the spiritual culture of the Bashkir people. The article notes outstanding Bashkir lexicographers, whose dedicated work allowed the Institute of History, Language and Literature to become one of the recognized centers forTurkic lexicography.

Highly transparent and well faceted large size epsomite single crystals have been grown in pure form and doped with KCl from aqueous solutions by slow cooling and isothermal evaporation method. The optical quality of the epsomite improves on doping by KCl. Mass growth rates were found to increase with doping of lower concentrations of KCl and then decreases with the higher concentration of KCl. KCl doped epsomite crystal reveals that structures are slightly distorted due to adsorption of Cl- ion into the crystal lattice. DC conductivity along the growth axis for all of the grown crystals increases with temperature in the range of 25 to 70ºC and also increases with the KCl concentration. Dielectric constant is found to be almost independent of frequency up to range of 106Hz. The dielectric studies show the suitability of these grown crystals for optoelectronic applications. Complex of iron(III) with saccharin, [Fe(C7H4O3SN)2Cl] has been prepared in aqueous medium. The IR and electronic spectral analysis suggest that two saccharin molecules are attached to the metal ion through N atom and there is no chemically coordinated or crystalline water in the complex molecule. The magnetic moment value indicates the paramagnetic character of the complex. The cyclic voltammetric study indicates a quasi-reversible electron transfer process due to the presence of iron in the compound. The formal description of the languages has become more and more practical; however, it should be noted that the full formal description of the Armenian language has not yet been done. However, the fact that certain attempts have been made is undeniable. The Electronic database of the Armenian word-formation (https://formlang.am/) is the first stage of the complex project in the full formal description of the Armenian language. In the current article, we want to present the advantages of the electronic database of the Armenian word-formation. The electronic database containing the word-formation analysis of thousands of words can search for words and morphemes within them. It means that searching for any root or affix appears all the simple, compound, derived and derived-compound words made up of them. It enables us to reveal the regular structures and the variative forms, deflections, and irregularities with frequency data with their automatic analysis and the possibility of derivation. The database gives a great opportunity to study the Armenian word-formation on synchronic and diachronic points, to discover the basic patterns of the formation of new words, by the thousands of examples to find out the principles and ways of word-formation in the Armenian language, to have the full list of the distinguished simple, compound, derived and derived-compound Armenian words. The current database has not only practical great value to involve the Armenian language in the domain of the modern informational technologies as the communicative mean, but also significant theoretical value to present the accurate description of the vocabulary structure. Thus, it will give an excellent perspective for solving the problems of theoretical linguistics and the practical -applied tasks. It can be significant for the further development of Armenology.

The article studies the peculiarities of the formation of intellectual potential of Chernivtsi oblast by analyzing its components, and also analyzes the participation of students in student competitions in subjects and in the competition-defense of research works of students of the Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, as well as their results. The analysis of gender peculiarities of students’ participation in the researched competitions is carried out, and also the geographical factors influencing formation of intellectual potential are considered. In 2019, there were 372 preschool educational institutions, 403 general secondary education institutions, 16 vocational education institutions and 16 higher education institutions in Chernivtsi oblast, which provided relevant educational services and formed the intellectual potential of the region. In Chernivtsi oblast in the 2019-2020 academic year, 1,814 students took part in the III stage of student academic competitions. The largest number of participants was observed at the academic competition in geography, Ukrainian language and literature, history and biology. In total, 845 participants took top places. The best results were shown by students of Chernivtsi, Storozhynets AH, Novoselytsia AH and students of Kelmentsi rayon. As for the all-Ukrainian competition-defense of research works, in 2020 378 students took part in the competition, of which 187 participants took top places. The best results, as in the academic competition, were demonstrated by students from Chernivtsi and Putyla rayon. Territorial differences in the development of intellectual potential occur under the influence of economic, demographic, legal, environmental, natural and other factors. The following indicators correlate most with the number of points scored by teams: the number of educational institutions in the rayon; share of new type of institutions (gymnasiums, lyceums, etc.); language of instruction. The gender structure of participants and winners of these intellectual competitions deserves a special attention. Girls predominate in the gender structure of participants and winners of the academic competition and defense competition in most subjects, especially in subjects of the philological and philosophical cycle, while the number of boys predominates in the academic competitions of the physical and mathematical cycle. Thus, in Chernivtsi oblast there is a significant differentiation between territorial and administrative units according to the results of the III stage of student academic competitions in basic disciplines and the competition-defense of scientific works of students-members of the Small Academy of Sciences.
