How teachers perform and react to the world-wide pandemic and how the epidemic affects an education system may also be used as new conditions to consider the way to enhance SDG4 in developing countries. Regarding that concern, this study investigated 294 teachers’ perspective on their teaching effectiveness and satisfaction during COVID-19. The findings underlined the significant roles of support from various stakeholders, school readiness toward digital transformation, and teachers’ anxiety over teacher satisfaction. Notably, teachers’ newly absorbed technological and pedagogical skills do elevate their teaching effectiveness but do not lead to higher satisfaction during the pandemic.

Many of us are using the World Wide Web in ways that are similar to the teaching machines and automatic tutoring devices of the 1950-1960s, yet we are moving ahead without building upon a base of knowledge that already exists from that era. This chapter reviews the basic ideas of the original automatic teaching and tutoring machines of those two decades — a linear programmed learning model and a programmed branching model — and compares these to hypermedia methods that are now enabled via web technology. Some classic ideas in assessing the cognitive and affective learning outcomes of teaching — somewhat analogous to usability issues of utility and likability — are reviewed. Greater emphasis on considering the educational outcomes is advocated when we use new online teaching technologies in programmed instruction.

The International Astronomical Union has a strong commitment to the development of astronomical education and research throughout the world, especially in those countries developing economically. This commitment is in part through the work of IAU Commission 46 for astronomy education and development. Within that commission, the Program Group for the World-wide Development of Astronomy (PGWWDA) coordinates many of these activities, promoting the development of astronomy in developing countries.

Schistosomiasis has been described as “one of the most devastating diseases of mankind, second only to malaria in its deleterious effects on the social and economic development of populations in many warm areas of the world.” The disease is world wide and is probably spreading faster and becoming more intense than the overall research efforts designed to provide the basis for countering it. Moreover, there are indications that the development of water resources and the demands for increasing cultivation and food in developing countries may prevent adequate control of the disease, and thus, the number of infections are increasing. Our knowledge of the basic biology of the parasite causing the disease is far from adequate. Such knowledge is essential if we are to develop a rational approach to the effective control of human schistosomiasis. The miracidium is the first infective stage in the complex life cycle of schistosomes.

The internet has impacted the lives of individuals, organisations, and governments all over the world. However, it is now viewed and adopted with caution due mainly to the criminal tendencies of some misguided elements within the society. The internet technology has evolved to become a weapon of “mass robbery” in the hands of criminals. Fraudulent mails emanating from Africa, in general and Nigeria in particular have received world wide attentions. These and more have dented the image of the country home and abroad. This study presents the various ways in which the internet is used for criminal purposes within the Nigerian polity. It further examined the various crime related laws, their adequacies, and implications. Findings revealed the interplay of different methods through which vulnerable individuals and organisations are defrauded. The strategies proposed for addressing these crimes with a view to giving the country a clean bill of health in the international community are as well applicable to other developing countries. The findings also lay solid foundations for further research within different strands of crimes. It also concludes with recommendations for policy makers, businesses, and internet services providers with emphasis on the need for greater awareness creation.

Covid 19 is a disease that has spread all over the world. It caused upheavals in all societies and segments of society. This also relates to the Serbian society and its educational system. Education, as an important part of society, experienced a concussion. Serbia's cumbersome education system, many ongoing reforms, dissatisfaction of educators, many unresolved issues were now additionally burdened by the crown and everything it brings with it. How much of the education system, to which the primary school belongs, has successfully responded to these changes? The inflexibility and inelasticity of the education system was a major obstacle in response to such a large demand made by the Coronavirus. The transition from school to online teaching was stressful for all participants: pupils, parents and teachers. In addition to changes in the way of working, primary schools in Serbia have faced problems with the lack of information technology needed for distance learning, teaching staff who are not educated for this type of teaching, but also the quality of such teaching. All this raised the question of the quality of knowledge that pupils acquired during distance learning. The paper will discuss the management of the primary school at the time of the Covid 19, the problems encountered and how they were solved.
