Nursing skill education plays a very important part for the nursing education. It’s necessary to analyze the role of the case-based teaching (CBT) in nursing skill education, to provide insights into the nursing education. The sophomore nursing students who received nursing skill teaching from September 2019 to January 2020 were selected. The students either underwent traditional teaching (control group) or CBT (CBT group) intervention. The objective structure clinical examination (OSCE), autonomous learning ability, questionnaire for effects evaluation of CBT, and student’s satisfaction level on CBT were analyzed. A total of 146 participants were included. There were no significant differences in the gender, age and the final exam score as freshman between 2 groups (all P > .05). The OSCE scores and autonomous learning ability in CBT group were significantly higher than that of control group (all P < .05). The most students favored the use of CBT, and most students were satisfied with CBT. CBT is beneficial to improve the nursing skill and comprehensive ability of students, and it’s conducive to increase the interest of students, which merits application in nursing education.

<p>Purpose: Understand the application effect of mixed teaching mode in the training teaching of Basic Nursing Technology. Method: The convenience sampling method was used to select nursing students in vocational colleges in 2016. 64 students in the first training group of classes 9 and 10 of the high nursing group were used as control groups and 64 students in the first training group of classes 11 and 12 of the high nursing group were used as experiments group. The experimental courses of the experimental group were taught in a mixed mode, while the experimental courses of the control group were taught using traditional teaching methods. Random examinations were conducted on aseptic techniques, nasal feeding, intramuscular injection, intravenous infusion and other operating items to compare the actual training results of the two groups result: The experimental group's training performance was significantly higher than the control group. Students recognize the mixed teaching model. in conclusion: The mixed teaching mode applied to the training teaching of "Basic Nursing Technology" is conducive to the cultivation of students 'independent learning ability, teamwork ability and hands-on ability and gives full play to students' main body status. There are still some problems in this area that need to be further improved.</p>

                The evolution of information technology has exerted great influence on nursing education via new pedagogy of knowledge delivery without time and place restriction. Mobile technology revolutionises nursing education and clinical practice via empowering skills of critical thinking and clinical decision-making through learning. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of using mobile messenger (Whatsapp) as an educational supporting tool among nursing students. The study design used is a Cluster Randomized Control Trail. Two nursing colleges were selected. Sample size was 93 participants, 48 from the Kuala Terengganu Nursing College Kuala Terengganu as the intervention group while the control group were recruited among 45 participants from UniSZA Nursing College. There is a significant difference in the level of knowledge between pre and posttest among intervention group (mean difference was -8.70 with a standard deviation 8.42, p-value< 0.001) and 93.8 percent of the respondents perceived the usefulness of using WhatsApp mobile messenger to enhance learning. This demonstrates that learning through mobile messenger (WhatsApp) enhances learning and is well received as a new method of learning by almost all students.   Keywords: Mobile learning, WhatsApp messenger, Social Interaction

Learning outcomes of a simulation game designed to have one-to-one correspondence between behavioral objectives and game plays is reported The behavioral objectives were core concepts in psychiatric mental health nursing taught to associate degree nursing students. Decisions to use the simulation game method grew out of difficulties inherent in the community college nursing program, as well as the need for self-paced, efficient, learner-centered learning and evaluative tools. After the trial and revision of the game, a number of research hypotheses were tested Simulation gaming was found to be an effective mode of learning, and students who acted as teachers for other students learned significantly more than those who were taught. Some of the recommendations for further research were to study varied nursing populations, to add a control group, to test the long-range learning effects of playing the game, to decrease experimenter bias, to study transfer of learning to actual nurse-patient situations and changes in attitudes toward psychiatric patients, and to develop more simulation games for nursing education.

<p class="0abstract">Use of mobile devices among nursing students is recently a widespread approach. Integrating mobile devices in education can improve the quality of nursing education by engaging students in learning experience. The present study aims at investigating theeffect of using Mobile Learning (M-learning) on students’ academicachievements and satisfaction. Therefore, quasi-experimental design was used. The study included 104 students who were enrolled in a critical care course at the faculty of Nursing. During the study, the participant were divided into control and experimental groups. The experimental group 52 students were able to use a developed mobile application, which includes learning materials and multimedia resources, dedicated to critical care course.  On the other hand, control group 52 students were able to explore the classical learning materials form the course. The study included students’ attitudes, students’ satisfaction, and students’ academic achievements. Differences between the two groups were considered significant as the result was p &lt; 0.05. The obtained results showed significance difference between pre-post quizzes achievements between the experimental and control group (p&lt;0.000). Additionally, 76% of the students were satisfied with using M-learning. The study revealed that there was improvement in the student academic achievements and satisfaction when integrating mobile learning into nursing education<span>.</span></p>

In this article, the results of a mixed-methods study integrating the use of simulations in a nursing theory course in order to assess students' perceptions of self-efficacy for nursing practice are presented. Nursing students in an intervention group were exposed to a combination of lecture and simulation, and then asked to rate their perceptions of self-efficacy, satisfaction and effectiveness of this combined teaching and learning strategy. Based on Bandura's (1977, 1986) theory of self-efficacy, this study provides data to suggest that students' self-confidence for nursing practice may be increased through the use of simulation as a method of teaching and learning. Students also reported higher levels of satisfaction, effectiveness and consistency with their learning style when exposed to the combination of lecture and simulation than the control group, who were exposed to lecture as the only method of teaching and learning.

Interpretation involves a great amount of practice. However, under the traditional teaching methodology the students do not have much opportunity to work in a real work situation. The class is usually organized with the help of simulated exercises. In that case, it is hard for the students to improve their interpretation ability. Therefore, the “workshop” methodology is introduced in the teaching of interpretation to cultivate the students’ autonomous learning ability and improve their interpretation ability by practice. Through an experiment it was found that compared with the control group, the experimental group was found to have made significant improvement in terms of pragmatical ability, cultural background knowledge, public speaking, conversion and psychological mechanisms. In addition, a questionnaire completed by the subjects in the experiment also proved that the workshop approach is in line with the characteristics of interpretation.

In nursing teaching, students are required to apply the learned theoretical knowledge to practical operation, and have the ability to comprehensively analyze and solve problems. At present, the traditional teaching mode is mostly used in nursing teaching in China. "Indoctrination" with textbooks as the theoretical basis and teachers' teaching as the main teaching method " With the rise of network technology and the application of modern educational technology in teaching, the research direction and focus of PBL have gradually shifted to the integration of network environment and PBL teaching mode This paper studies the application of Internet and artificial intelligence in humanized nursing teaching. This paper focuses on PBL teaching method based on network environment (WPBL) The results show that PBL teaching mode under the network environment does have many advantages in medical nursing education. This method can effectively cultivate nursing students' problem-solving ability and critical thinking ability, which is consistent with the goal of nursing education.

Introduction: The biggest challenge in nursing education is to produce nurses who are professional and competent. Effective and efficient learning through appropriate methods and media is very important. Practical learning based on standard operating procedures (SOP) has been widely applied, but clinical simulation approaches with audio-visual media have not been scientifically proven. The purpose of this study is to compare student competencies through clinical simulation learning with audio-visual media and practicums based on SOP.Methods: This was a quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of 40 students recruited using simple random sampling and then divided into 2 groups: 20 respondents were given clinical simulation methods using audio-visual materials and 20 respondents were given practicum based on SOP. The independent variables were clinical simulation with audio-visual media and practicum based on standard operating procedures. The dependent variable was student competency, assessed using competency assessment including cognitive, affective, and psychomotor methods. Data analysis was conducted using the Wilcoxon test.Results: The use of clinical simulations with audio-visual media and practicum based on SOP can increase the value of competency in nursing students, but the median value on the use of clinical simulations using audio-visual sources is higher than practicum based on SOP.Conclusion: Clinical simulations with audio-visual media can be recommended as effective learning methods and media for nursing students.

<p>Industrial Revolution (IR) 4.0. is about dealing with digital-native students  and developing autonomous learning. One possible strategy to deal with these issues is using YouTube as a tool for English language learning. There have been some studies discussing the effectiveness of using it, yet we still have niches; for instance, deeper and wider contexts and respondents. Thus, this study aims to examine students’ autonomy over their learning and whether YouTube can develop the listening comprehension skills of nursing students in a Faculty of Nursing in Tangerang. To achieve the first aim, quantitative and qualitative studies were conducted, while for the second aim, an experimental study was used. The experimental study involved an experimental group consisting of 16 students and a control group consisting of 16 students. The result shows that the participants consider YouTube as a useful support to develop their autonomy in learning English and YouTube video has been successful to develop their listening skills.</p>

Objetivo: Analisar as percepções de estudantes de graduação em Enfermagem sobre a utilização do portfólio reflexivo como método de ensino, aprendizagem e avaliação. Método: Pesquisa qualitativa, realizada em uma turma de acadêmicos de Enfermagem, os quais desenvolveram portfólios para a disciplina Tópicos Especiais do Cuidado de Enfermagem. Utilizou-se questionário sobre a percepção dos acadêmicos na construção do portfólio com ênfase em aspectos positivos e negativos do processo. Os dados foram categorizados pela análise de conteúdo temática. Resultados: Os resultados evidenciaram que a utilização do portfólio constitui uma ferramenta para superação do modelo tradicional de ensino, visando a reflexão do estudante no processo ensino-aprendizagem. O sucesso do uso do portfólio como metodologia ativa e método de avaliação depende da participação e interesse dos estudantes e professores. Conclusão: A reflexão no processo ensino-aprendizagem se torna possível com a utilização de metodologias ativas. Como implicações para a prática de Enfermagem, o portfólio se mostrou uma estratégia eficiente para a ampliação do conhecimento teórico, auxiliando no desenvolvimento das habilidades e competências da profissão.Descritores: Educação em Enfermagem; Aprendizagem; Avaliação educacional.PERCEPTIONS OF NURSING STUDENTS ON THE USE OF THE REFLECTIVE PORTFOLIOObjective: To analyze the perceptions of undergraduate nursing students about the use of the reflective portfolio as a teaching, learning and assessment method. Method: Qualitative research, conducted in a class of nursing students, who developed portfolios for the discipline Special Topics of Nursing Care. We used a questionnaire about the students' perception in the portfolio construction with emphasis on positive and negative aspects of the process. Data were categorized by thematic content analysis. Results: The results showed that the use of the portfolio is a tool for overcoming the traditional teaching model, aiming at student reflection in the teaching-learning process. The success of using the portfolio as an active methodology and assessment method depends on the participation and interest of students and teachers. Conclusion: Reflection in the teaching-learning process becomes possible with the use of active methodologies. Conclusión: La reflexión en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje se hace posible con el uso de metodologías activas.
