In recent decades, women with significant medical conditions have increasingly chosen to become pregnant. This has broadened and intensified the interface between obstetrics and internal medicine, a collaboration which has always needed cooperation but which increasingly demands open discussion and planning to ensure optimal outcomes for mother and fetus. The aims of this article are to describe the state of obstetric medicine practice in Australia and New Zealand, including its history and development, the training and education curriculum, organisation of its service delivery, and potential opportunities for research and collaboration.

Aim: In this paper, we aim to provide an updated source of information for nonmedical prescribing (NMP) in New Zealand (NZ). Methods: A variety of NZ sources were used to collect data: legislation, policy documents and information from professional and regulatory organizations, and education providers. Results: In NZ, the legal categories for prescribers include authorized, designated, and delegated prescribers. Authorized prescribers include dentists, midwives, nurse practitioners, and optometrist prescribers. Designated prescribers include pharmacist prescribers, registered nurse prescribers, and dietitian prescribers. There are no delegated prescribers in NZ at this time. There is variation in the regulation, educational programmes and prescribing competencies used by the different prescribing health professionals involved in NMP in NZ. Conclusion: This update collates relevant information relating to NMP in NZ into one consolidated document and provides policy makers with a current overview of prescribing rights, service delivery models, training requirements, and prescribing competencies used for NMP in NZ. As NMP in NZ continues to expand and evolve, this paper will form a baseline for future NMP research in NZ. NZ needs to develop overarching NMP policy to enable consistency in the various aspects of NMP, thereby delivering a safe and sustainable NMP service in NZ.

In preparation for the 2020–2024 Olympic cycle, members of the USA Track and Field sport psychology (SP) subcommittee investigated the SP service provision needs and preferences of 88 elite Olympic-level athletes. A mixed-methods needs analysis was employed, which consisted of surveys, interviews, and a focus group, to help understand current SP usage and shape future SP services for USA Track and Field. Findings highlighted a lack of knowledge and exposure to SP services and a desire for increased contact with SP professionals among athletes, exposing gaps and room for improvement in service delivery. Athletes cited flexibility in terms of service delivery mode and shared common core preferences for mental training, including help managing stress, pressure, emotions, and other challenges of competition and training. The results are discussed in relation to strengthening the effectiveness of service provision through increasing visibility, accessibility, and education regarding the benefits of SP services.

Illegal levies have been ingrained in the correctional ranks that exist throughout  Indonesia. This has become a bad precedent for socialization in the community. With  this, it is necessary to improve the integrity and transparent public service system that  is provided to service recipient communities to improve public trust in correctional  services in prisons and detention centers in Indonesia. Services that can be provided to  service recipient communities are services that can be seen directly from the results  and transparency in realizing excellent service and quality. Services that are a complaint  against indications of illegal levies in prisons and detention are services to visits (bezel),  remission proposals, assimilation, conditional leave, free explanatory leave, paid  release, and the provision of other services needed by the community and prisoners.  To get information that is as clear as possible, this study uses descriptive  qualitative research methods by measuring the behavior of officers, prisoners, and  prisoners. The research uses in-depth interview methods to visitors (bezel), to prisoners  and prisoners as data sampling and direct observation in the Class I Prison in Bandung  to find out the actual conditions in the research locus.  The results of the study indicate the need for strengthening commitment with all levels  of officials and officers in the Bandung Klas I Prison in eradicating illegal levies in  providing services, increasing commitment and integrity in services, providing  Information technology-based services and strict supervision of the giving of prisoners'  rights. Realizing principles and regulations are necessary to provide guidance and  training for all Klas I Bandung detention officers to strengthen Integrity in the  implementation of tasks. With training and education can provide strength and insight  for officers to be able to build integrity and commitment to good service in prison.

In their 1997 green paper on tertiary education the Ministry of Education said, "to ensure our prosperity New Zealand needs to be a 'learning society' recognising the importance for all of our people to continue to develop new skills and knowledge throughout a person’s lifetime." Given the importance of an educated and adaptable workforce, there is surprisingly little information available on education and training undertaken in New Zealand. While some information is collected on those enrolled in study towards formal education qualifications, there is little available information on human capital development beyond this. One of the few sources of information is the Education and Training Survey (ETS), conducted in September 1996. This paper uses information collected in the ETS to look at the characteristics of those participating in education and training as well as the barriers to and reasons for participation in education and training. lt then goes on to compare the labour market outcomes of those people who participated in education and training with those who did not.
