Aiming at pooling the opinions of internationally and nationally known intercultural experts on the status and conceptualization of intercultural communication studies in China, this research project adopted a Delphi process. Exploratory questionnaires were sent to an identified set of experts (N = 45) via email for the first stage, responses (N = 34) compiled, evaluated, and questions edited; a more focused questionnaire redistributed to experts for the second stage (N = 20); and a summary of findings was checked and confirmed for the third stage (N = 15). Themes and theoretical issues were formulated through each stage, compiled, and where possible integrated. This research process has generated the following findings: (1) leading topics related to intercultural communication are identified; (2) major research methodologies adopted in each related field are examined; (3) highly cited authors and theories most applied in intercultural communication studies are ranked; (4) emerging trends in the field are listed; and (5) assessments and recommendations for the ongoing development, significance, and relevance of intercultural communication studies in the Chinese context are highlighted. Strengths and weaknesses of the results and this study are then noted toward future development of the field.

The article is devoted to communicative training as a means of forming the readiness of the linguistic personality for speech interaction. Revealed the relevance of the work, which is the development of special training tools for intercultural communication. Achieved work goal. The main type of preparation for intercultural communication, focused on practical interaction with another culture, is training. Prospects for further research lie in the development of methodological foundations of communication trainings in order to shape the readiness of the linguistic personality to speech interaction. The communicative training consists of stages such as task setting; actualization of students' language experience; the formation of the representation of the Indonesians about the scenarios of Ukrainian etiquette interaction, familiarization with etiquette forms that function in Ukrainian culture, with the common strategies and tactics of speech behavior in a variety of etiquette situations; recognition and analysis of etiquette formulas in authentic texts; training the ability to correct the speech behavior; reflection. In the article we give examples to the stages of communicative training the work on the genre of compliment. The first stage of the training is to inform students about the topic of the lesson and the teacher's message about the notion of "compliment" and the national specificity of the compliment in Ukrainian culture. The second stage is the formation of the students presentation about the rules of using the compliment in the Ukrainian culture. The third stage of the training is the solution of communication tasks and exercises built on the basis of authentic texts, for example, the teacher can use the broadcast recordings of participants of radio and television programs, heroes of feature films, spoken speech of the speakers of the language. The fourth stage of the communicative training is the organization of reflection, which consists of reflection, self-observation, the desire to understand their own feelings and actions.

Ransomware viruses have become a dangerous threat increasing rapidly in recent years. One of the variants is Conti ransomware that can spread infection and encrypt data simultaneously. Attacks become a severe threat and damage the system, namely by encrypting data on the victim's computer, spreading it to other computers on the same computer network, and demanding a ransom. The working principle of this Ransomware acts by utilizing Registry Query, which covers all forms of behavior in accessing, deleting, creating, manipulating data, and communicating with C2 (Command and Control) servers. This study analyzes the Conti virus attack through a network forensic process based on network behavior logs. The research process consists of three stages, the first stage is simulating attacks on the host computer, the second stage is carrying network forensics by using live forensics methods, and the third stage is analysing malware by using statistical and dynamic analysis. The results of this study provide forensic data and virus behavior when running on RAM and computer networks so that the data obtained makes it possible to identify ransomware traffic on the network and deal with zero-day, especially ransomware threats. It is possible to do so because the analysis is an initial step in generating virus signatures based on network indicators.

Satya Wacana Christian University is famously known as mini Indonesia, this is because students who pursue their education in this campus come from various regions, tribe and ethnicities in this country. On one hand this condition brings diversity that characterizes Indonesia. On the other hand, diversity requires the existence of mutual adjustment, adaptation and respect. Therefore, understanding how each ethnic group adapts becomes an urgency. In Satya Wacana Christian University, from the various tribes and ethnicities, Papuans and Malukuese ethnics are two fairly large ethnic groups that are in this university. Through a qualitative descriptive approach, this paper seeks to express acts of communication by migrants (especially Papuans and Malukuese ethnics) when adapting in cultures. The results of this research are divided into 3 phases, first phase or the first year of the informant or students from ethnic outsiders still huddle or socialize with his group, the second stage or second year they already want to open up more to blend in with other groups, and the third stage is a stage where they're really able to master themselves and adapt to new environments.   Keywords: Intercultural Communication, Migrant Communication Actions, Cultural Adaptation, Satya Wacana Christian University.

This chapter maps the four stages involved in a research process, giving an overview of each one and providing sources for more in-depth information such as specific research methods books. The first stage involves developing the idea for a research study, including identifying a research problem, developing research questions and hypotheses, developing a theory, assessing the feasibility of an intervention, choosing a study team, and involving patients and the public. The second stage involves designing a research study, including deciding on a research design and selecting the research methods. The third stage involves running the research study and assessing whether it has been run with enough fidelity to the initial plan to provide viable data. The fourth stage is the outcome of the research study, including deciding how to report results, how to disseminate findings, and whether findings can lead to further implementation of the intervention or further research.

In this study, we propose effective monitoring equipment intended for monitoring the underground tunnel of illegal excavation (such as theft, jailbreak, and smuggling). It mainly detects the microseismic information produced by underground excavation in a short distance to detect the status of underground excavation. Based on the arrival time difference principle, the positioning mathematical models of the 5-1-1 layout method, 4-3 layout method, and 7-0-0 layout method are established, respectively. In the research process, the measurement and the placement error caused by the installation of a seismic detector are joined into the detectors. Simulation results show that the relative error and its average value are obtained when mining outside the monitoring area. The experiment results demonstrate that, first, the depth positioning error is positively affected by the number of seismic detectors. Then, the relative error of plane positioning can be reduced when the installation distance among detectors is increased. Finally, the main causes of location error include time measurement error, propagation velocity difference caused by terrain, and the performance of detector hardware. The array of a ground motion detector has a weak influence on it. These emerging trends will have profound impacts on application of an underground excavation system.

Critics have argued that Elizabeth Gaskell's first novel, Mary Barton (1848), is split by a conflict between the modes of realism and romance. But the conflict does not render the novel incoherent, because Gaskell surpasses both modes through a utopian narrative that breaks with the conflict of form and gives coherence to the whole novel. Gaskell not only depicts what Thomas Carlyle called the ‘Condition of England’ in her work but also develops, through three stages, the utopia that will redeem this condition. The first stage is romantic nostalgia, a backward glance at Eden from the countryside surrounding Manchester. The second stage occurs in Manchester, as Gaskell mixes romance with a realistic mode, tracing a utopian drive toward death. The third stage is the utopian break with romantic and realistic accounts of the Condition of England and with the inadequate preceding conceptions of utopia. This third stage transforms narrative modes and figures a new mode of production.

Without a guideline or structure, conducting a literature review on a psychological construct might become a chaotic process . This canvas was built based on the author's experience in order to help psychological researchers classify, organize, and summarize the information relating to the psychological construct of interest into several essential aspects including definition, classification, measurement, sample, predictors and outcomes, mediators and moderators, interventions, and theories. For each aspect, there are some guiding questions which are expected to help researcher decice which information should be focused while examining scientific documents. The completely filled canvas should depict the status quo of the research on the psychological construct of interest, facilitating the research process.

The first stage of this project aims to identify assessment measures which include items on voice-hearing by way of a systematic review. The second stage is the development of a brief framework of categories of positive experiences of voice hearing, using a triangulated approach, drawing on views from both professionals and people with lived experience. The third stage will involve using the framework to identify any positve aspects of voice-hearing included in the voice hearing assessments identified in stage 1.

The connection between poverty and women's lack of power over resources and decision-making has now caught the attention of policymakers in government and mainstream development all over the world. Women empowerment issues perceived nationally or locally are being addressed by both state and non-state agencies. Beside the government intervention, NGOs are implementing various types of Women Empowerment Programmes including IG Programmes. Women Empowerment Programmes in India include livelihood support Programme, rehabilitation and job placement for rescued women, safe motherhood Programme and so forth. In spite of involvement of various NGOs in women empowerment through Income Generation and Skill Development Programmes, the status of women is still not satisfactory in India as various official as well as unofficial reports claim and the outcomes against the stated objectives of the NGOs' Women Empowerment Programmes are often questioned. Therefore, the present study is focused in assessing the impact of IG Programmes run by non-government organizations in empowering women. The researcher hypothesizes that IG Programme with its components viz., skill training, resource inputs of loan and equipment help to increase income to the women through independent business or work in the related field; the increased income lessens their dependence on family heads and enables to spend for personal expenses; gives them certain freedoms as individuals; enables them to contribute to family affairs financially, which creates an environment in the family in favor or the women to accept her views and participation in family matters like education, marriage, purchase etc.
