The research relevance is due to the growing interest of teachers in introducing Augmented Reality (AR) technologies into the course of Engineering and Computer Graphics (ECG). The research aims to study the current state of knowledge and practice of existing courses using AR-technologies, including those for geometric-graphic training of high educational institutions students. The research object was the subject readiness of engineering students to master graphic disciplines based on the AR-concept. More than 200 scientific papers published between 2005 and 2020 were selected to review the qualitative and quantitative AR-research in the education area. For this purpose, the following factors were taken into account: category of educational institution and student, publication year, academic discipline, AR-technologies. Have been presented examples for AR-technologies implementation at different levels of education, such as preschool, school, higher and special ones. Special focus has been on consideration of teachers’ experience related to AR-technologies introducing in geometric training courses. It has been revealed that at present the AR-concept has gained popularity not only among designers, but also among schoolteachers, as well as among engineering high educational institutions’ lecturers. The lack of sufficient amount of scientifically based and tested programs and training materials for student teaching on ECG using AR has been proved. The necessity for further scientific research in the area of AR application to teach students on ECG has been justified. The research base was St. Petersburg Mining University. The paper materials may be useful for high educational institutions’ lecturers, schoolteachers, and parents.

Gaspard Monge wrote: "The charm that accompanies science can overcome man's natural aversion to the mind intenseness and make them find pleasure in their mind’s exercise that for most of people seems as tiresome and boring occupation". He had written it including descriptive geometry. To exercise one’s mind — what is this but the brain building, and science is accompanied just by heuristic thinking, so that brings new discoveries for an intellectual. The most difficult in descriptive geometry is the ability to represent a spatial geometric figure or such figures’ combination on two images. It is clear that the usual problems of a course are resolved within the academic discipline, and are typical ones, readily understandable for any student of a technical high educational institution, while the tasks at Academic Olympics, even if these tasks are destined for use inside a high educational institution, are more difficult. If for a solving of problems from an ordinary problem book on descriptive geometry’s course it is enough to know literally a few algorithms, for tasks of increased difficulty that is not enough. The Academic Olympics’ functions reveal such a feature of those on descriptive geometry as their inseparable property to be a catalyst for development of heuristic thinking. Here there is not only the disclosure of students’ abilities to solve ordinary geometric problems, but the ability to solve problems of heuristic direction in general. It is obvious that knowledge of typical problems on the course of descriptive geometry is absolutely insufficiently, as well as it is insufficiently to know school geometry, that currently almost is not teaching in schools — now it is necessary to have not only the spatial perception, but at least the beginnings of heuristic thinking. This, plus the mobilization of all mental resources, contributes both to the solution of given geometric problems, and further solving other problems in the related areas of science and technology.

In the work, a number of facts and dates of the Kharkov period of life (1893–1920) of the botanist-algologist Nina Vasilievna Morozova-Vodyanitskaya are given, who graduated from the Kharkov High Women’s Courses, taught at them (as well as in other educational institutions of the city) and studied algae under the guidance of V. M. Arnoldi, Professor of the Departments of Botany of Kharkov University and High Courses. The origin of the rich merchant family allowed N. V. Morozova get both secondary and high education. The Kharkov High Women’s Courses were a huge, rapidly developing non-state high educational institution, similar to the classical university in terms of teaching natural sciences, equipping departments and laboratories, and the number of students. The Department of Botany, where N. V. Morozova studied and worked as a laboratory assistant and then as an assistant, has provided to the students an extensive workshop, participation in excursions outside the city and in expeditions to the basims of Russia. Students of the courses had the opportunity to engage in scientific work in laboratories and at a biological station on the Seversky Donets River. Among the students and junior teachers (colleagues of N. V. Morozova-Vodyanitskaya, who has formed the scientific school of V. M. Arnoldi) there were many well-known botanists, algologists, hydrobiologists who became professors, correspondent members, and so on. It is concluded that the scientific and pedagogical environment surrounding of N. V. Morozov-Vodyanitskaya in Kharkov favored her becoming as a researcher. Only the harsh conditions of the Civil War and devastation delayed the publication of the results of the first work of a young algologist, started in 1913.

This chapter proposes a new model of managing educational institutions' activities to provide staffing needs: customer synchronized resource planning (CSRP). It describes a technology that rebuilds the learning process in order to reduce the time needed to prepare staff adequately with the competencies required by employers as requested by the economy sector. At present the development of an open system for the educational institution is being carried out. This system is able not only to create an educational program dynamically, which allows us to get the right number of specialists with the desired competencies in the minimum period, but also to rebuild the agency's management system for new tasks: to generate the necessary training materials, make changes in the timetable, and rebuild the educational portal by adding new data.

A review of problems related to geometry and graphics training at school and high educational institution has been presented within the meaning of discussions on meeting of «Descriptive Geometry, Graphics, CADD» section of Saint Petersburg House of Scientists. It has been shown that in connection with minimization in the school program of graphics and due to focused training on geometry, the competence level of freshmen does not meet high educational institutions’ requirements. It is firmly established that descriptive geometry is the only subject to facilitate these gaps liquidation during the first year of educating. Different variants of educating programs are considered and analyzed.

Recently, the discipline "Physical Education" is losing its popularity, position, prestige among pupils and students. The younger generation uses all the opportunities in order to avoid physical exertion within the framework of the subject matter both in schools and in higher educational institutions. There are enough reasons for such behavior: attitude to physical education and sports in the family, outdated scheme of conducting and stereotyped lessons, insufficient practical qualifications of teachers, lack of creative teaching and modern directions in the educational process. In this situation, young people have extremely few motives for regular, conscious attendance of physical education classes and effective work on it. Taking into account all the above, the task of physical education teachers is to raise the prestige of the discipline “Physical Education” and give motives to students to get physical activity both within the academic discipline and outside educational institutions. In this work, we tried to identify ways to increase student motivation in this matter.

This study’s relevance is determined by the absence of serious research, science-based, tested and verified programs and training materials related to the use of Augmented Reality (AR) technologies when getting students education in Engineering and Computer Graphics (ECG). The study’s aim was the introduction of AR-technologies in the project activities of first-year students. The study was conducted on the base of St. Petersburg Mining University. 48 first-year students of the Civil Engineering Faculty, pursuing a specialist's degree in “Construction of Unique Buildings and Structures”, participated in the project activity. The students' project activities results showed that at present, AR-technologies have gained popularity not only among designers and planners, but also among schoolteachers, as well as among lecturers and students of technical universities. A student team of St. Petersburg Mining University solved the design problem using AR-technology and created an informational 3-D model of the building structure. The existing methods related to students training have been completed and updated with the method of graphical presentation for the students' project activities results with the help of AR-technologies. As a result of the students’ project activities study, has been revealed the thoroughly obvious need for teaching a new generation of students to use AR-technologies. The aim is implementation of AR-technologies by students in the perspective, with continuous and subsequent self-education, as well as teaching future designers of rational use of AR-technologies to solve educational and practical problems, including areas of engineering and computer graphics. The study had showed that currently there is not enough of scientifically based learning materials for the organization of students' project activities using AR-technologies. Has been revealed the need for further scientific research in the field of AR-technologies implementation in the students’ project activities within the framework of ECG academic discipline. The paper materials can be useful for lecturers of all levels.

This study presents the thought and the role of Prof. Zakiah Daradjat, a modern female Muslim leader with multitalents in Indonesia. She is an expert in psychology of religion and mental health, both in theory and practice. Amazingly, she masters the western and eastern psychological theory, and then constructs them into her own theory which is linked to primary, middle, and high educational level. Practically, she achieves her expertise and skill in psychotherapy and counseling by teaching, writing, preaching, and opening a private counseling practice. Her main source is the fundamental doctrine of religious teachings: prayer, charity, fasting, and pilgrimage in which she thoroughly analyzes by revealing the dimensions of mental health in them. By using descriptive analysis on her books and translated works as primary sources, and applying interview technique with teachers as well as observation technique on cases that exist at Ruhama Islamic Educational Institution, under the auspices of the Prof. Dr. Zakiah Daradjat Foundation Jakarta, some interesting findings are discovered. Scientifically, no one has previously comprehended mental health and psychology of religion before Zakiah. In turn, both disciplines are applied at Colleges for Religious Studies (Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan- hereinafter called PTK) in the form of an academic supervisory. Initially, it was counseling, but has now evolved into coaching and training. Meanwhile, the implementation of her thought in Ruhama focuses on guidance and counseling. At last, this study shows Zakiah’s thought does not only influence the concept of psychology of religion and mental health, but also affects the practice of counseling in primary, middle to high educational institutions.

Many educational institutions, assessing their prospects, plan to develop distance educational services using their own electronic and information educational environments (EIEE). During creating and operating EIEE of educational institution (EI), a number of questions arise related to structural, marketing, personnel and other decisions. The purpose of this article is to research the organizational, technical and didactic aspects of the EIEE EI. The methodology of the research is based on methods of system analysis, cybernetics, pedagogical psychology and didacticism.A conceptual model of the EIEE EI as an organizational and technical system has been proposed. It includes a marketing subsystem, a set of technical tools, various types of security and an organizational subsystem. The main functions of these subsystems and their various components have been identified.A didactic model of a typical complex of digital educational resources has been developed. Within this model, the diversity of digital educational resources across each academic discipline is integrated into complexes that provide a complete study at different target levels of assimilation, from initial acquaintance to solving uncharacteristic professionally oriented tasks. From the point of view of pedagogical psychology and cybernetics, the high importance of feedback in EIEE EI is shown. The classification of feedbacks (internal and external) is proposed for the triad “Teacher – Teaching Program – Learner”. The limits of the use of automation in the formation of feedbacks are specified, as opposed to other (non-computer) responses to students’ educational activities. The role and place of feedback in the “digital footprints” of students and teachers is shown and the directions for the use of this data in artificial intelligence systems are outlined.

The paper is devoted to the problem of higher education quality improving, and to the necessity of taking into account in this process the educational space subjects: students, teachers and employers. Theoretical and methodological approaches to quality assessment problem have been considered, and system-social approach has been selected, which allow include the satisfaction both of students and teachers with different aspects of high educational institution life into this assessment criteria. Based on such approach a methodology has been developed, and a sociological research on materials of Russian oil and gas high educational institutions, training professionals for the Russian economy’s most significant sector, has been carried out. As a result, the relationships of education quality and satisfaction both of students and educators with the educational process as a whole and its individual elements have been revealed. The assessment of high educational institutions’ graduates made by their employers, as well as recommendations on quality improving in some training directions, aimed at implementation of practiceoriented approach to training, have been presented. A comparison of the situation both in different high educational institutions and between students studying on technical and managerial specialties has been carried out. Particular attention has been paid to the development based on this research’s results of regional oil and gas higher educational institution model in the conditions of higher education modernization, taking into account the interaction of all stakeholders (real economy enterprises, government structures, civil society). Also an oil and gas higher educational institution development realization mechanism has been proposed, considering all the activities of the educational institution (the education, research and innovation, sociocultural ones) with a system approach, allowing it to become successful in the international market of educational services in the oil and gas industry
