The article, based on the analysis of current research and works of domestic and foreign scientists and practitioners, defines media educational technologies as a means of educational process using periodicals, radio, television, cinema, as well as software and hardware devices that provide collection, processing, accumulation, storage and transmission of information in different languages. The purpose of the article is to theoretically substantiate the importance of media educational technologies as one of the pedagogical conditions for the media literacy formation of future foreign language teachers. Media educational technologies define the role of a foreign language teacher as a model, an expert of thought processes, a skilled user of modern educational technologies, knowledge and the role of a student who should learn from these demonstrations a set of techniques and methods which they will be able to use to gain knowledge. Thus, the teacher develops himself/herself and helps the students. In the course of the work, various ways of media educational technologies classification are considered. However, for this study there is only one necessary and relevant, the one that will open up greater opportunities for the use of the latest information technologies at foreign language lessons. After analyzing different approaches and classifications of media educational technologies as one of the pedagogical conditions for the formation of media literacy of future foreign language teachers, the author concludes that in order to achieve such high performance, there are some difficulties: a lack of knowledge of foreign language teachers and pedagogues, problems with technical equipment, the unwillingness to keep up with the times, and the financial situation in which education and the whole culture find themselves due to the constant lack of underfunding. But the prospects for high-quality and effective use of media technologies in education are obvious – the scientific progress of students, teachers, and hence the whole country.

Purpose of the study: Justification of the factors of efficiency of implementing Krashen's theory on the basis of the implementation of the ideas of content and language integrated learning (CLIL) for the development of students' language competence in the study of English on the example of Russian universities. Methodology: Questionnaire survey, a pedagogical experiment; correlation-regression analysis; the principal component method (Н5). Main findings: The linguistic competence in foreign language learning should be considered as a set of linguistic, communicative, and social competences consisting of a great variety of speech acts and communicative functions related to communicative behavior and social life. The most important component in the structure of linguistic competence is the linguistic competence proper that determines the level of foreign language proficiency. For students studying using the CLIL method, the learning material complexity level should be 2.5 times higher than the level of students' competence; for students studying in universities that do not use the CLIL method - 1.9 times higher. It is advisable to structure the training on principle from simple to complex content of the learning material, as well as training based on learning materials of higher complexity than the level of students' competence, using an individual approach. Applications of this study: The results obtained will serve as the basis for methodological materials development and an algorithm for organizing the learning process in such a way as to ensure the maximum possible level of language competence development among students using the CLIL method not only in the process of learning English but also other foreign languages. Novelty/Originality of this study: Empirical evaluation of factors of efficiency of practical implementation of the CLIL in the educational process and adaptation of Krashen's methodology in the process of forming students' language competence.

Also, students usually appreciate teachers’ personal characteristics positively, emphasizing tactful teacher’ behaviour, patience, objectivity, sense of humour and appropriate speaking tone. Moreover, it turned out that the schoolchildren feel less secure talking of interaction with teachers: they usually turn to the teachers only for subject matters; they do not always feel free in the classroom. Because of a fear to make a mistake the students do not want to express their views openly as they are not always sure that their opinion is important for their teachers.

There is currently an increasing interest for sustainable innovation in our society. The European agendas highlight the role of higher education institutions in the formation and development of innovation competences among students. Our study aimed to contribute to the analysis of the level of achievement of students’ innovation competences by considering two sustainable development goals (SDG) of the 2030 United Nations’ Agenda: Gender Equality (SDG 5) and Quality Education (SDG 4). This article tries to answer how business students perceive their own innovation competences and which innovative competences are best achieved by students, as well as if there are differences in the achievement of these competences depending on the students’ gender. Our results, from a sample of 360 students in the Business Administration and Management Bachelor’s Degree at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, confirm the extensive development of innovation competences. Moreover, female students present a high level of preparation for innovation-oriented action. These findings have educational implications for potentiating the innovation competences and environments where females can attain innovation skills.
