WHAT ARE THE PRINCIPLES OF RURAL EDUCATION PRESENT IN THE PEDAGOGICAL PRACTICES OF THE BASIC EDUCATION SCHOOLS OF THE SEATING PROJECT CIPÓ CANAÃ, ESPERANTINÓPOLIS – MA?¿CUÁLES LOS PRINCIPIOS DE LA EDUCACIÓN DEL CAMPO PRESENTES EN LAS PRÁCTICAS PEDAGÓGICAS DE LAS ESCUELAS DE EDUCACIÓN BÁSICA DEL PROYECTO DE ASENTAMIENTO CIPÓ CANAÃ, ESPERANTINÓPOLIS – MA?Visando à compreensão do universo educacional a partir da política pública de educação básica para o campo no Brasil, são discutidos, neste artigo, os princípios da Educação do Campo presentes nas práticas pedagógicas das escolas do Projeto de Assentamento Cipó Canaã, Esperantinópolis – MA. Ciente das contradições existentes no sistema educacional, determinadas pelas referências de produção da sociedade capitalista, traz-se a lume, através de observações, as relações dos sujeitos envolvidos nas escolas investigadas. Para tanto, realizou-se uma análise de dados da Secretaria Municipal de Educação (SEMED), levantamentos bibliográficos, entrevistas e questionário com perguntas abertas, abordando elementos qualitativos e quantitativos. Discute-se, também, o distanciamento das escolas do Projeto de Assentamento Cipó Canaã, no que se refere à proposta de Educação do Campo. Verificou-se que, mesmo as escolas fazendo parte de um Projeto de Assentamento da reforma agrária, os sujeitos envolvidos encontram-se à margem das discussões da construção da Educação do Campo, pois as concepções e práticas pedagógicas desenvolvidas no referido P. A. mais se aproximam da educação rural.Palavras-chave: Educação do Campo; Práticas Pedagógicas; Políticas Educacionais; Povos do Campo.ABSTRACTAiming at understanding the educational universe based on the public policy of basic education for the countryside in Brazil, this article discusses the principles of Field Education present in the pedagogical practices of the schools of the Cipó Canaã Settlement Project, Esperantinópolis – MA. Aware of the contradictions existing in the educational system, determined by the production references of capitalist society, the relations of the subjects involved in the schools investigated are brought to light through observations. To do so, a data analysis of the Municipal Education Department (SEMED), bibliographical surveys, interviews and a questionnaire with open questions was carried out, addressing qualitative and quantitative elements. It is also discussed the distancing of schools from the Cipó Canaã Settlement Project, as far as the Field Education proposal is concerned. It was verified that, even the schools being part of a Land Reform Settlement Project, the subjects involved are on the sidelines of the discussions about the construction of the Field Education, since the pedagogical conceptions and practices developed in the P.A. more closely approximate the rural education.Keywords: Field Education; Pedagogical Practices; Educational Policies; Peoples of the Field.RESUMENCon vistas a la comprensión del universo educativo a partir de la política pública de educación básica para el campo en Brasil, se discuten en este artículo los principios de la Educación del Campo presentes en las prácticas pedagógicas de las escuelas del Proyecto de Asentamiento Cipó Canaã, Esperantinópolis – MA. Es consciente de las contradicciones existentes en el sistema educativo, determinadas por las referencias de producción de la sociedad capitalista, se trae a la luz, a través de observaciones, las relaciones de los sujetos involucrados en las escuelas investigadas. Para ello, se realizó un análisis de datos de la Secretaría Municipal de Educación (SEMED), encuestas bibliográficas, entrevistas y cuestionario con preguntas abiertas, abordando elementos cualitativos y cuantitativos. Se discute, también, el distanciamiento de las escuelas del Proyecto de Asentamiento Cipó Canaã, en lo que se refiere a la propuesta de Educación del Campo. This descriptive-correlational study examined the teachers’ level of awareness and extent of use of democratic teaching strategy. This study focused on the four areas of democratic teaching: equality, freedom, justice, and participation. Moreover, this study investigated the correlation between teachers’ level of awareness and extent of use of the strategy. Data were gathered from the whole population of the Basic Education Department of a Salesian school in Negros Occidental. Data analysis using mean, t-test of independent means, One Way Analysis of Variance, and Pearson Product Moment of Correlation were utilized. Results revealed that teachers have a high to a very high level of awareness of the democratic teaching strategy and a great extent of its use. The findings of this study suggest enhancement of teachers’ awareness and practice of the democratic teaching strategy to address the gaps on the areas of equality, freedom, and justice considering different disciplines taught.

Teaching practice studies are important for candidate teachers to acquire professional skills. Teacher candidates learn to adapt to the conditions of real business life, as well as obtain theoretical knowledge of application that they have learned in college. The purpose of this study is to show whether the changes of the MEB in 2017 caused an increase in the quality of the implementation studies. Research is a qualitative study. The working group of the research is OMÜ Basic Education Department, application teaching elements (5) in Classroom Education Department and application school coordinators (6) and application teachers (17) working in primary schools affiliated to MEB. 28 people who wanted to participate in the interview voluntarily were selected by maximum diversity sampling method. Semi-structured interview form was used to collect research data. Descriptive and content analysis techniques were used in analyzing the data. According to research findings, the majority of application instructors stated that the changes made did not cause a change in the implementation studies. They pointed out that the evaluation of application school coordinators on the internet provides some benefits. Practice teachers have expressed that their work is more productive, teacher candidates are more prepared for lessons, and teacher candidates are getting more serious. Öğretmen adayları, üniversitede öğrendikleri teorik bilgileri uygulama fırsatı elde etme yanında, gerçek iş hayatının koşullarına uyum sağlamayı da öğrenirler. Bu çalışmanın amacı, MEB’in 2017 yılında yapmış olduğu düzenlemelerin uygulama çalışmalarının niteliğinde bir artışa neden olup olmadığını ortaya koymaktır. Araştırma nitel bir çalışmadır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu, OMÜ Temel Eğitim Bölümü, Sınıf Öğretmenliği Anabilim Dalı’ndaki uygulama öğretim elamanları (5) ile MEB’e bağlı ilkokullarda görev yapan uygulama okulu koordinatörleri (6) ve uygulama öğretmenleridir (17). Görüşmeye gönüllü olarak katılmak isteyen 28 kişi maksimum çeşitlilik örneklemesi yöntemiyle seçilmiştir. Araştırma verilerinin toplanmasında yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Verilerin çözümlenmesinde betimsel ve içerik analizi tekniklerinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına göre, uygulama öğretim elemanlarının çoğunluğu, yapılan değişikliğin uygulama çalışmalarında bir değişikliğe neden olmadığını dile getirmişlerdir. Uygulama okulu koordinatörleri değerlendirmenin internet ortamında yapılmasının bazı yararlar sağladığını belirtmişlerdir. Uygulama öğretmenleri ise çalışmaların daha verimli olduğunu, öğretmen adaylarının derslere daha hazırlıklı geldiğini ve öğretmen adaylarının işi daha ciddiye aldıklarını dile getirmişlerdir. Bulgulara dayalı olarak bazı önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan pemerataan pendidikan di Kabupaten Sintang dalam pelaksanaan pemerataan pendidikan dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Subjek penelitian adalah Kepala Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Sintang, Kepala Dinas Pendidikan Cabang Kecamatan, dan Ketua PGRI (Informan Kunci),  dan Pengawas Sekolah, Kepala Sekolah, dan Guru (Informan Penunjang). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan dokumentasi dan wawancara. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah model analisis Spradley untuk menganalisis permasalahan pemerataan pendidikan di Kabupaten Sintang. Penelitian ini menghasilkan beberapa temuan utama. Pertama, pelaksanaan pemerataan pendidikan di Kabupaten Sintang terkendala akibat keadaan geografis dan sarana prasarana yang kurang. Kedua, partisipasi pendidikan di Kabupaten Sintang belum terlaksana maksimal karena program wajib belajar hanya mencapai 7 tahun. Ketiga kualifikasi guru di Kabupaten Sintang masih banyak belum yang memenuhi standar. Keempat, anggaran pendidikan yang berupa dana BOS belum memadai untuk dikelola oleh sekolah di daerah. An analysis of equality matter in education in Sintang Regency AbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine the equality in education in Sintang Regency that covered the implementation of basic education. This was a qualitative study using case study approach. The subject was the Head of Education Department, the Head of Education Department district, and the Chairman of PGRI (Key Informant), and the School Superintendent, principal, and teachers (Supportive Informant). Data collection technique used documentation and interviews. Analysis of the data was an analysis of Spradley’s model to analyze equality matter in education in Sintang. This research results in four major findings. First, the implementation of equality in education was constrained because of geographical condition and lack of infrastructure. Second, the participation of education in Sintang was only reached 7 years. Third, many teacher’s qualifications is still not fulfilling the standard. Fourth, education budget that form of BOS fund is not adequate to manage by schools in rural area.

This study aimed at investigating the level of the student-teachers' awareness of indicators among Primary School pupils. To achieve this objective, the researcher used the descriptive analytical method. The study sample consisted of (42) fourth-year students in the Faculty of Education, Sudan University of Science and Technology who were being trained in basic schools and were selected using the purposive method. The questionnaire was designed and used to collect data related to talent indicators. The coefficient of correlation Pearson and the alpha Cronbach coefficient and test (t) were used for one group. The results revealed that the total degree of student-teachers' awareness was generally high. There were statistically significant differences between the student-teachers' awareness and pupils' cognitive, social, emotional and creative indicators. In the light of these results, it is recommended that attention should be paid to teacher preparation programs in the faculties of education, where the skills of dealing with talented pupils as well as observation skills of student-teachers should be developed. Resumo: A pesquisa tem como objetivo analisar as estratégias de implantação do modelo de accountability implantadas no sistema de gestão da rede de ensino básico da Secretaria de Educação do Estado de Pernambuco - Brasil e se essa política favorece mecanismos de gestão democrática. O estudo é de natureza exploratória, realizado através da técnica de pesquisa documental. Os resultados apontam que o modelo de accountability implantado é constituído por mecanismos de controle e monitoramento alinhados à disputa entre países europeus e norte-americanos por lugares competitivos no mercado global.Palavras-chave: Políticas educacionais. Accountability. Abstract: This research aims to analyze the implementation strategies of the accountability model implemented in the system of management of the basic education network of the State of Pernambuco - Brazil Education Department, and if this policy favors mechanisms of democratic management. The study is exploratory in nature, carried out through the documentary research technique. This study is a needs assessment of the greening management program which will be implemented as a community extension program in the Basic Education Department of UCLM. The study utilized the descriptive quantitative design using researcher-made questionnaires. Perceptions from students were gathered using a survey form. The study was conducted at the Basic Education Department of UCLM. Two hundred elementary students and two hundred junior high school students were surveyed. For the treatment of the data, frequency, proportion and weighted mean was used.Based on the findings from the Elementary Department, majority of the respondents has not planted in the last 12 months. But they would like to participate in a greening management program. The students would like to do the following: plant vegetables; take care of fruit-bearing tree seedlings; and take care of plants (cultivating, watering, fencing, controlling of pests, weeding and fertilizing). They would like to do gardening activities from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM.For vegetables, they would like to plant talong, sili and monggo. For fruit-bearing plants, they would like to plant mango, avocado and water apple tree. For ornamental plants, they would like to plant rose, gumamela and orchids. Among the junior high school respondents, majority of the respondents were: aware about the issue on climate change; want to become part in the solution of the problem; aware about the greening program; have plants at home; aware that greening management conserves natural resources and the ecosystem; will participate in the greening program; they segregate wastes at home and in the school; have seen students planting in school; aware of organic fertilizers; and are aware of indigenous plants.However, it was worthy to note that the students: were not involved in planting activities in the last 12 months; have not seen their teachers in planting activities in school; and are not aware of permaculture. The students rate the present greening status of the department and the university as good. The students would like to plant calamansi. They can afford to take care two plants. They prefer to take care of their plants from 6:00 AM to 7:00 AM.Based on the findings of the study, the students of the Basic Education Department accept the greening management program and are willing to participate in this program.Keywords: Greening Management Program, Mango, Calamansi, Rose, Organic fertilizers, waste segregationRecommended citation: Amparado, M. Technology is gradually shifting the focus of learning to less traditional methods; like eBooks, audiobooks, and more recently, mobile applications. This shift indicates an apparent need to incorporate entertaining components into learning tools to keep users engaged in critical thinking, and comprehension activities. There is untapped power in mobile entertainment, particularly mobile games that can and must be harnessed to improve current methods, and even introduce new methods of learning English. This study seeks to determine the effectiveness of AngloLingo, a mobile game that is built on the basics of English, in facilitating learning of English vocabulary, spelling and grammar in students in the Basic Education Department of Adamson University, Philippines. A control group (N=18) and an experimental group (N=18), were used during the test. Quasi-Experimental Research Design with pretest and posttest was used to determine the difference in performance between the control and experimental groups. Results indicate a significant improvement in performance on the post-test of the experimental group due to the use of AngloLingo before administration of the posttest. The overall results of the three sub-tests (P-Value = 6.39E-08) indicate the effectiveness of AngloLingo in learning Basic English vocabulary, spelling, and grammar. This study also offers recommendations on the incorporation of mobile games in teaching and learning Basic English.
