<p><strong>Purpose:</strong> The study was conducted to determine affecting factors and to investigate relationship  between  attitudes towards menarche and current attitudes towards menstruation of women and to compare characteristics of menarche and menstruation of women who were born and raised in the northeastern and western of Turkey. </p><p><strong>Method and Materials:</strong> This descriptive and comparative study was participated totally 400 volunteer women.<strong> </strong>The data were collected using a questionnaire containing defined closed and open-ended questions.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>The study results showed that women living in Ordu province than women living in Aydın province expressed positive attitudes toward menarche, and the difference was found significant. Nevertheless, attitudes towards current menstruation were similar in both provinces. When the data of 400 women were evaluated together; women’s attitudes towards menarche were compared with the current attitudes towards menstruation, and the difference was found statistically significant. Although attitudes of the women towards menarche varied according to where they lived, their current attitudes towards menstruation were similar. In addition, depending upon the province, there were statistically significant differences in women’s age at menarche, recollection of menarche, and feelings of shame or happiness at menarche, source and adequacy of information about menstruation, and regularity of their menstrual cycle.  </p><p><strong>Conclusions:</strong> Early menstrual experiences may be related to menstrual experiences later in life and women’s attitudes towards menstruation were not affected by geographical locations. In order to develop positive attitudes towards menarche and a woman’s future years of menstrual cycles, it is very important that accurate and adequate information for young girls be provided before menarche. </p>

Abstract: Introduction: Increase of liver function is one of the most common complications after kidney transplantation due to the use of immunosuppressive therapy and hyperlipidemia in addition to hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. Method: Following the selection criteria (n = 59), the study is based on applied immunosuppressive therapy, baseline data of patients, further correlation between HCV and liver function deterioration. Patients were subjected to fasting laboratory examination to monitor serum electrolytes, uric acid and albumin levels. We looked at the effects of immunosuppressive therapy on the lipids (TG, TC, HDL, LDL) and liver enzymes (GOT, GPT, ALP, GGT). The analysis of the relationship between lipids and liver enzymes was also included in our study. Results: The data basics were not significantly different between the tacrolimus and the cyclosporine groups. In the laboratory results, Mg levels were significantly different between the two groups (p = 0.044). The impact of HCV on the liver function was significantly different on GGT (p = 0.008). We examed the lipids and liver function level between the tacrolimus and the patients receiving cyclosporine-based immunosuppression and the total cholesterol (p = 0.005) and GOT (p = 0.05) were significantly different between the two groups. Hyperlipidemia was associated with 26% of patients taking tacrolimus-based immunosuppression, and 89% of those receiving cyclosporine; the difference was significant (p = 0.002). Regarding the effect of hyperlipidemia on liver enzymes, ALP (p = 0.006) and GGT (p = 0.0001) were significantly higher. Conclusion: Increases in hepatic enzymes, ALT and GGT indicate the damage to hepatocytes. Beside the increase of liver function, which is the main risk factor in hepatitis on HCV soil, the applied immunosuppressive therapy and hyperlipidemia lead to degradation of allograft function and long-term graft loss. The reproductive cycles of the two cockles Cerastoderma edule (L.) and C.glaucum (Poiret) (= Cardium lamarcki Reeve) from a mixed population in the Crouch estuary, Essex, have been investigated. Reproductive maturity was estimated by assessment of gonad condition. A difference in maturity related to shore level was noted. The reproductive cycles of the two cockles were found to be essentially similar. Rapid gametogenesis occurred in both cockles in spring, C. edule then spawned in May, whereas C. glaucum did not spawn until July. The difference in time of spawning appears to be responsible for the maintenance of the two genotypes in a sympatric association, as hybridization experiments showed an absence of isolation at the gamete level. The relationship between C. edule and C. glaucum is discussed.

Children of divorced family are at greater risk to divorce themselves in later years. In an attempt to understand the process of “transmission of divorce” across generations, the current study examined the potential moderation role of gender in the relationship between inter-parental conflict and attitudes towards marriage among adolescents from divorced Muslim family. A total of 341 secondary school students across three states in Malaysia were recruited to participate in the current study. Results of multivariate analysis revealed that being male and exposure to high inter-parental conflict predicted less positive attitudes towards marriage. Gender has no moderating effects in the relationship between inter-parental conflict and attitudes towards marriage. These findings underscore the deleterious effects of inter-parental conflict on adolescents.

This study examines the relationship between teacher educators’ attitudes towards computers and their level of ICT integration in instruction in public primary teacher training colleges in Kenya. Rogers’s Theory on the Diffusion of Innovations (2003) is used to understand the key factors affecting ICT integration as well as the teacher educators’ attitudes towards ICT integration in the classroom. In terms of methodology, the simple random sampling technique was used to select six teacher training colleges in Kenya and 169 respondents to participate in the study. Data was collected using a questionnaire, interview schedule and observation. Descriptive statistics were used to analyse the data collected for means, frequencies, means, percentages and standard deviation. The Pearson Moment Correlation was used to determine the relationship between teacher educators’ attitude and their level of ICT integration. The study results indicated a low level of ICT integration in teaching in all teacher-training colleges. It was also noted that teacher educators had positive attitudes towards ICT integration. However, they did not seem to integrate the available ICTs in their classroom instruction. It was further established that there was a positive relationship between their attitude and their level of ICT integration in instruction.  The Ministry of Education should organise in-service training for teacher educators in teacher education institutions on ICT integration in instruction. At the same time, there is a need to applaud and encourage by means of incentives teacher educators who exhibit positive attitudes so as improve their ICT integration in their teaching. Consideration should be given to older teacher educators’ who may be holding poor attitudes towards computers.

Abstract This leukodepleted PRC (PRC-LD) is considered capable of preventing reactions related to blood transfusions because it contains only a small number of leukocytes. The blood component of PRC-LD has also been shown to prevent or reduce transfusion reactions. Leukodepleted is a procedure to reduce the number of leukocytes in the blood or blood components to be transfused to a minimum of <1x106 leukocytes/unit (European standard) or reduce the number of leukocytes >99%. The purpose of this study was to see the difference in leukocyte values in the PRC and PRC-LD components. The method used is analytic, namely research that aims to determine the relationship between variables within the scope of the laboratory. The method used is a comparative study. This study used 30 samples of PRC products and 30 samples of Leucodepleted PRC products at UTD PMI Surabaya City with 450 cc bags. The study was conducted in October - December 2019. The result was that the leukocyte value in the PRC blood component contained blood quality that did not meet the specifications as many as 30 bags (100%) had leukocyte levels >1x106 per bag. Meanwhile, the blood component of PRC-LD contains blood quality that meets the specifications as many as 30 bags (100%), having leukocyte levels <1x106 per bag. Conclusion The quality of PRC Leukodepleted blood component products, the quality of leukocyte levels that meet the specifications, there are 30 blood bags (100%). In order to investigate the relationship between the bonding nature and the cooperative relaxation, a comparative study of the relaxation behavior in polymeric and metallic glass forming systems has been performed based on the Bond Strength–Coordination Number Fluctuation (BSCNF) model developed by the authors. In the present work, we studied the correlations between the fragility m, the Vogel temperature T0, the degree of molecular cooperativity NB, and the Kohlrausch exponent βKWW. The results show that T0 and NB increase, whereas βKWW decreases systematically with the increase of m. Reflecting the difference of the interatomic interactions of the materials considered, the analysis by the present study reveals that the value of NB in ion-conducing polymers is about 5 times larger than that in metallic systems, and for each system, the material dependence of βKWW is clearly seen in the fragility index m and the cooperativity NB.

Purpose This study aims to explore the effects of consumer resilience and brand familiarity on the relationship between corporate social responsibility (CSR) and consumer attitudes toward the company conducting CSR in places that have suffered from traumatic events such as natural or anthropogenic disasters and uncertainty of public health issue. Design/methodology/approach This study collected survey-based data from 194 participants who suffered from natural and anthropogenic disasters in the state of Texas. Path analysis was used to test each structural relationship among variables after verifying the reliability and validity of each variable. Analysis of variance was used to investigate the difference in resilience between the two groups. Findings This study verified that there is a positive relationship between CSR and consumer attitude. More importantly, the results show that both resilience and familiarity play an important role as a mediator in the relationship between CSR and attitudes. In particular, it tells us that a group with high resilience shows a higher possibility of having positive attitudes toward the company than another group having low resilience. Originality/value This study empirically tested the impacts of CSR, resilience and brand familiarity on building consumer attitudes. Furthermore, this study explored the effects of resilience and brand familiarity on the relationship between CSR and attitudes. Thus, this study was able to contribute to understanding the effects of CSR, resilience and familiarity on building a positive attitude in the specific settings, in terms of traumatic events, theoretically and practically.
