ABSTRAK: Taman Nasional Karimunjawa merupakan daerah perairan yang mempunyai ekosistem laut yang masih lengkap dan asri. Padang lamun merupakan salah satu ekosistem pendukung di wilayah pesisir yang pada umumnya terdapat di daerah tropis dan memiliki peranan penting di perairan. Makrozoobenthos adalah salah satu hewan yang berasosiasi dengan padang lamun yang memanfaatkan padang lamun sebagai tempat mencari makan dan tempat memijah. Tujuan penelitian tentang kelimpahan makrozoobenthos di Perairan Telaga dan Pulau Bengkoang diperlukan untuk mengetahui perbedaan serta pengaruh fisika-kimia terhadap populasi lamun dan makrozoobenthos untuk mengindikasikan kualitas suatu perairan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober 2019dengan menggunakan metodepurposivesampling yang dapat mewakili seluruh kawasan. Hasil komposisi makrozoobenthos yang di temukan pada masing-masing stasiun mempunyai perbedaan yang cukup signifikan. Jumlah makrozoobenthos Perairan Telaga terdapat sebanyak 42 individu makrozoobenthos yang ditemukan, sedangkan di Pulau Bengkoang terdapat sebanyak 55 individu makrozoobenthos yang ditemukan. Jumlah makrozoobenthos yang di temukan pada Perairan Telaga line 1 sebanyak 11 individu, line 2 sebanyak 15 individu dan line 3 sebanyak 14 individu. Jumlah makrozooobenthos yang di temukan pada Pulau Bengkoang line 1 sebanyak 19 individu, line 2 sebanyak 17 individu dan line 3 sebanyak 19 individu.Makrozoobenthos yang ditemukan pada masing-masing stasiun penelitian mempunyai hubungan yang kuat antara kelimpahan makrozoobenthos dengan tutupan lamun serta dengan bahan organik.  ABSTRACT: Karimunjawa National Park is a watershed area that has a complete and beautiful marine ecosystem. Seagrass beds are one of the supporting ecosystems in coastal areas which are generally found in the tropics and have an important role in the waters. Macrozoobenthos is one of the animals associated with seagrass that uses seagrass as a place to find food and spawning grounds. The purpose of research on the abundance of macrozoobenthos in Telaga Waters and Bengkoang Island is needed to determine the differences and the influence of physics-chemistry on seagrass populations and macrozoobenthos to indicate the quality of a waters. This research was conducted in October 2019using a purposive sampling method that can represent the entire region. The results of the macrozoobenthos composition found at each station have quite significant differences. The number of macrozoobenthos of Lake Ponds were 42 macrozoobenthos individuals found, while in Bengkoang Island there were 55 macrozoobenthos individuals found. The number of macrozoobenthos found in Telaga Line 1 is 11 individuals, line 2 is 15 individuals and line 3 is 14 individuals. The number of macrozooobenthos found on Bengkoang Island line 1 were 19 individuals, line 2 were 17 individuals and line 3 were 19 individuals. Macrozoobenthos found at each research station have a strong relationship between abundance of macrozoobenthos with seagrass cover and with organic matter.

Ficus is key species that commonly lives in tropical region because of its ability to bear fruit year around, thus so many kind of Ficus that become source of food and habitat to animals. The aim of the research to determine the density and distribution pattern of Ficus spp. at Research Station of Gunung Palung National Park in May until June 2018. The observation of Ficus spp. is done by random sampling method on five different locations, there are lowland granite, warmth, sands stone, freshwater swamp and alluvial land. The result showed that there are 4 species of Ficus with density ranges 16-60 individuals/ha and the distributions patterns are uniform and grouped.

Serangga air merupakan kelompok Arthropoda yang dapat dijumpai hampir pada jenis perairan misalnya pada habitat lentik atau lotik. Seranggan air dalam suatu ekosistem berperan penting dalam rantai makanan selain itu juga serangga air dapat dijadikan sebagai bioindikator terhadap penentuan kualitas suatu perairan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kelimpahan serangga air yang terdapat di Sungai Toraut. Lokai penelitian terletak pada Sub DAS dari DAS Dumoga Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow, Sulawesi Utara. Sungai ini memiliki luas sekitar 249 km2 dan hulunya terletak di Taman Nasional Bogani Nani Wartabone (TNBNW). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Purposive Random Sampling dengan menggunakan alat surber sampler. Total individu yang didapatkan dari 3 stasiun sebanyak 1497 individu dengan jumlah famili sebanyak 24 yang terdiri dari 27 spesies. Spesies serangga air yang paling banyak ditemukan pada stasiun satu, sedangkan yang sedikit pada stasiun 3. Kelimpahan spesies yang paling banyak ditemukan adalah Hydropsyche sp.Arthropods is a group of aquatic insects that can be found in almost all types of aquatic habitats for example lentic or lotic habitat. In the field of ecology, aquatic insects plays a role in the food chain, moreover the aquatic insects can be used as bioindicator to determine the quality of water. This study aims to analyze the abundance of aquatic insects found in the Toraut River. This study lies in the sub-watershed from the watershed of Dumoga Bolaang Mongondow, North Sulawesi. This river has an area of ​​approximately 249 km2 and its located in the headwaters of Bogani Nani Wartabone  National Park. The method used in this study is purposive random sampling method by using a sampler surber. Total individuals were obtained from 3 stations are 1497 individuals with total 24 families consisting of 27 species. The most commonly species of aquatic insects found at station 1, whereas slightly at station 3. The most commonly species of aquatic insects found is Hydropsyche sp.

Hutan Mangrove merupakan suatu ekosistem laut yang memiliki peran penting sebagai penyimpan karbon tertinggi di wilayah tropis. Fungsi mangrove ini dapat membantu dalam mengurangi emisi karbon dan pemanasan global. Pulau Nyamuk dan Pulau Parang merupakan vegtasi alami yang mengalami penurunan luasan mangrove yang diduga disebabkan oleh alih fungsi lahan, sehingga akan menyebabkan penurunan fungsi mangrove dalam menyerap CO2. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah menganalisis dan menduga total simpanan karbon dan serapan CO2 pada tegakan mangrove di Pulau Nyamuk dan Pulau Parang. Manfaat dilakukanya penelitian ini adalah memberikan informasi mengenai manfaat mangrove sebagai penyerap karbon. Pengambilan data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling method, dimana setiap lokasi memiliki 3 stasiun (Pulau Nyamuk; Sareh Besar, Sareh Kecil, Ujung; Pulau Parang: Batu Merah, Plawangan, Batu Hitam). Setiap stasiun dibagi menjadi 3 plot untuk dilakukan pengambilan data diameter batang mangrove. Data diameter batang mangrove digunakan untuk menghitung nilai biomasssa tegakan dengan menggunakan rumus allometrik dalam menduga simpanan karbon pada tegakan mangrove suatu area. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa simpanan total karbon pada tegakan mangrove di Pulau Nyamuk memiliki nilai 1.176,48 ton/ha, yang dibagi sebagai berikut: Stsiun Sareh Kecil: 383,16 ton/ha, Stasiun Sareh Besar: 419,51 ton/ha, dan Stasiun Ujung: 373,81 ton/ha, sedangkan di Pulau Parang memiliki nilai 2009.031 ton/ha, yang dibagi sebagai berikut: Stasiun Batu Merah 767,672 ton/ha, Stasiun Batu Hitam 654,444 ton/ha, dan Stasiun Plawangan 586,915. Mangrove Forest is a marine ecosystem that has an important role as the highest carbon storage in the tropics. This mangrove function can help in reducing carbon emissions and global warming. Nyamuk Island and Parang Island are natural vegetation which decrease mangrove area which is caused by land conversion function, so it will cause mangrove function to absorb CO2. The purpose of this research is to analyze and estimate total carbon storage and CO2 uptake on mangrove stands in Nyamuk Island and Parang Island. The benefit of this research is to provide information about the benefits of mangroves as carbon sinks. The data collected in this research using purposive sampling methods, where each location has 3 stations (Nyamuk Island: Sareh Besar, Sareh Kecil, Ujung; Parang Island: Batu Merah, Plawangan, Batu Hitam). Each station is divided into 3 plots for data collection of mangrove stems diameter. The mangrove stem diameter data were used to calculate the stand biomass value by using allometric formula in estimating carbon stock in the mangrove stand of an areas. The results of research, that total carbon deposits in mangrove stands in Nyamuk Island had a value of 1,176.48 tons/ha, divided as follows: Sareh Kecil Station: 383.16 tons / ha, Sareh Besar Station: 419.51 tons / ha, and Ujung Station: 373,81 ton / ha, while in Parang Island has value 2009.031 ton / ha, which is divided as follows: Batu Merah Station 767,672 ton / ha, Batu Hitam Station 654,444 ton / ha, and Plawangan Station 586,915.

Abstract   The study aims were to determine the community structure of Uca sp.and its environmental factor at the segara anakan north Bedul Alas purwo national park. Research conducted when the lowest tide began on april 24th,2017. At research station, 30 sampling points was determined by purposive sampling method. Samples ware taken by making 1x1 square, space 5m between each square and observed with the space 2m between square and observer and after ten minutes then recorded all the species belonging to each plot. Environment parameters measured to determine the diference of environmental factor to structure community of Uca crabs. Samples of crab preserved with formaldehida 4% and collected in tha jar.  Eight species were found in segara anakan north bedul is Uca rosea, Uca perplexa, Uca capricornis, Uca bellator, Uca tetragonon, Uca crassipes, Uca rapax, Uca lactea. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui struktur komunitas dari Uca sp. di kawasan hutan mangrove serta faktor lingkungan yang mempengaruhinya. Penelitian dilakukan pada saat air surut terendah. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 24 April 2017. Metode yang dilakukan ialah dengan purposive sampling dan dengan menggunakan belt transek. Penelitian dilakukan dengan membuat plot berukuran 2 m x 2 m sebanyak 30 plot dan dengan jarak antar plot ialah 5 m. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pengamatan dari jarak 2 m dan setelah 10 menit kemudian di catat semua spesies yang termasuk ke dalam tiap plot. Dilakukan pengukuran parameter lingkungan untuk mengetahui perbedaan faktor lingkungan terhadap struktur komunitas kepiting Uca. Spesies kepiting yang telah tercatat diambil individunya untuk dijadikan sampel dan dilakukan identifikasi kemudian diawetkan di dalam botol selai dengan menggunakan formalin 4%. Sebanyak 8 jenis kepiting Uca yang ditemukan di hutan mangrove kawasan Bedul, yaitu Uca rosea, Uca perplexa, Uca capricornis, Uca bellator, Uca tetragonon, Uca crassipes, Uca rapax, Uca lactea.

AbstractBackgroundEarly career doctors (ECDs) are faced with many challenges due to their transition from undergraduate medical/dental studentship to being postgraduate doctors and being in an early phase of their career. The specific factors that affect ECDs in their careers and endeavors at the workplace range from poor remuneration, particularly in developing countries, to psychosocial problems (such as burnout [BO] syndrome). There is a dearth of information on BO among ECDs in Nigeria. This qualitative study aims to explore the opinions of ECDs in Nigeria on the causal/predisposing factors of BO, effects of BO, and strategies for mitigating BO among ECDs in Nigeria.MethodUsing purposive sampling method, two sessions of focus group discussions (FGDs) involving 14 ECDs (key informants) holding key leadership positions and who were delegates of other ECDs in Nigeria were conducted to explore their experiences on psychological issues among ECDs. Data collected were transcribed and analyzed thematically.ResultsBO is an issue of serious concern among ECDs in Nigeria. The causes of BO are diverse, some of which include low staff strength, prolonged work hours, wrong counseling, lack of job description and specification, and abuse of powers by trainers. In order to mitigate the issue of BO among ECDs, the respondents recommended that work policy review, medical workforce strengthening, stakeholder dialog on ECDs’ welfare, regular psychological review of ECDs, and provision of free yearly medicals need to be looked into. Conclusion: Our findings revealed that the participants considered BO issues among ECDs to be common, and it affected their performance and the overall quality of care in Nigeria health system. Based on our findings, there is an urgent need to mitigate the problem of emotional exhaustion among ECDs in Nigeria.

The development of sharia banking in Indonesia very rapidly grow up preceded by Bank Muamalat Indonesia and in 2013 ranked as the bank with the highest loyalty and the best among other sharia banking nationally. Bank Muamalat Indonesia branch of Madiun is one of the first branch in Madiun and currently has many competitors from other sharia banking. Based on this background, in this study take what factors affect the size of customer loyalty Bank Muamalat Indonesia branch of Madiun. Based on the result of research, it is found that the level of loyalty of customer of Bank Muamalat of Madiun branch is mostly influenced by product innovation with value of t test value obtained by t-count 2,493, while second factor is influenced by service quality with result of tcount 2,268. So the least influenced factor by the value of the customer is with value of 2.217. This research is a descriptive research method and associative / relationship, this matter to know the value of independent variable. While population of this research is funding customer of Bank Muamalat Indonesia branch of Madiun with amount of 22.196 customer by taking data using random sampling method as much as 108 customer. The study attempted to find out the quality of the evaluation procedure of B.Ed. programme of Garhwal University, the Central University in view of NCTE Norms. The study also reveals the method and procedure of evaluation according to the latest 2 years B.Ed. programme. For the study, purposive sampling method was used. The tools – questionnaire and interview schedule was developed. On the basis of findings, it concluded that the evaluation procedure was in accordance with the NCTE Norms. With the implementation of two years B.Ed. course, the method of evaluation has also become more practical oriented, which has become a remarkable achievement and surely enhance the quality of prospective teachers

In this study, discrete choice models that combine different behavioural rules are estimated to study the visitors’ preferences in relation to their travel mode choices to access a national park. Using a revealed preference survey conducted on visitors of Teide National Park (Tenerife, Spain), we present a hybrid model specification—with random parameters—in which we assume that some attributes are evaluated by the individuals under conventional random utility maximization (RUM) rules, whereas others are evaluated under random regret minimization (RRM) rules. We then compare the results obtained using exclusively a conventional RUM approach to those obtained using both RUM and RRM approaches, derive monetary valuations of the different components of travel time and calculate direct elasticity measures. Our results provide useful instruments to evaluate policies that promote the use of more sustainable modes of transport in natural sites. Such policies should be considered as priorities in many national parks, where negative transport externalities such as traffic congestion, pollution, noise and accidents are causing problems that jeopardize not only the sustainability of the sites, but also the quality of the visit.

The purpose of this transcendental phenomenological study was to understand the bereaved Older males’ experiences with the interaction and ownership of a companion animal after the death of their partner. The primary researcher recruited 13 participants via a criterion-based purposeful sampling method to assure the quality of the information collected. Results revealed six themes: (a) bonds with their pets grew stronger and closer after the loss of their wife; (b) men were able to express their grief to their pets; (c) companion animals helped the men psychologically during grief; (d) pets were influential during times when the wife’s presence would have been valuable; (e) companion animals helped men with loneliness and social connection; and (f) companion animals helped men find a new normal by providing a purpose and routine during bereavement. The pets proved to be a source of support for these widowed men.
