This study aims to present evaluation methods that can evaluate thermal comfort reflecting traditional values of the vernacular architecture in Korea called Hanok, especially focused on modernized public facilities. For this purpose, representative vertically-sectional structures of Hanok has been categorized by the spatial configuration used for public buildings such as school, museum, library and so on. Next, a comfort assessment index was derived to evaluate the spatial comfort performance of Hanok especially with certified domestic standards and indices. Then, predicted mean vote (PMV) has further been selected as the method for the thermal assessment for their interior spaces. As a result, the surrounding conditions showed the least influence on the Hanok comfort and the adjacency type mostly affected the performance of thermal control in the aspects of the habitual sustainability. Finally, Hanok designs could positively be considered and utilized by surroundings and adjacency types that have the most advantages in terms of thermal environment.

The target of this study was to evaluate the efficacy, histopathological, oxidative stress, and molecular effects of quercetin (QRC) in mice with oral mucositis induced by 5-fluorouracil (5-FU). Thirty-six albino male mice with oral mucositis induced by 5-FU as a chemotherapeutic agent were used in this study. The animals were randomly divided into 6 groups: control group, mucositis (MUC) group, pretreatment group, posttreatment group, and two last groups including nanoemulsion form of QRC with a dose of 5 mg/kg in both pretreatment and posttreatment. In the present evaluation, fewer oral lesions were observed in the QRC posttreatment groups compared to the pretreatment and nanoemulsion receiving groups. In the SOD assay, the most significant difference was observed in the posttreatment nanogroup (41.073 ± 1.24) and pretreatment nanogroup (43.453 ± 2.60) in comparison to the 5-FU group (30.897 ± 1.93). The results of CAT assay also showed a significant difference in nano-posttreatment (124.60 ± 10.85), posttreatment (135.4 ± 9.82), and nano-pretreatment groups (128.80 ± 7.20) compared to the 5-FU group (55.07 ± 8.91). The expression of inflammatory genes such as Hif-1α and NfκB in this group was lower than in the other groups, although this difference was not significant. It seems that the use of QRC can improve the treatment process of oral mucositis induced by 5-FU.

Abstract Background The human white matter pathway network is complex and of critical importance for functionality. Thus, learning and understanding white matter tract anatomy is important for the training of neuroscientists and neurosurgeons. The study aims to test and evaluate a new method for fiber dissection using augmented reality (AR) in a group which is experienced in cadaver white matter dissection courses and in vivo tractography. Methods Fifteen neurosurgeons, neurolinguists, and neuroscientists participated in this questionnaire-based study. We presented five cases of patients with left-sided perisylvian gliomas who underwent awake craniotomy. Diffusion tensor imaging fiber tracking (DTI FT) was performed and the language-related networks were visualized separated in different tracts by color. Participants were able to virtually dissect the prepared DTI FTs using a spatial computer and AR goggles. The application was evaluated through a questionnaire with answers from 0 (minimum) to 10 (maximum). Results Participants rated the overall experience of AR fiber dissection with a median of 8 points (mean ± standard deviation 8.5 ± 1.4). Usefulness for fiber dissection courses and education in general was rated with 8 (8.3 ± 1.4) and 8 (8.1 ± 1.5) points, respectively. Educational value was expected to be high for several target audiences (student: median 9, 8.6 ± 1.4; resident: 9, 8.5 ± 1.8; surgeon: 9, 8.2 ± 2.4; scientist: 8.5, 8.0 ± 2.4). Even clinical application of AR fiber dissection was expected to be of value with a median of 7 points (7.0 ± 2.5). Conclusion The present evaluation of this first application of AR for fiber dissection shows a throughout positive evaluation for educational purposes.

Cervical vertebrae have a cardinal part that is a closeness of and through it passes the vertebral course, vertebral vein and sharp plexus of nerves. The vertebral course enters the of C6 and this way, the FT of C7, which transmits just the vein and nerve, might be near nothing or even occasionally absent. A vertebral channel may enter through C7 in 2% cases as necessities be combinations of this may affect the anatomical course of vascular and neural structures, and this way may cause over the top conditions. The explanation behind the investigation was to watch the anatomical mixes in the of seventh cervical vertebrae. Present work was carried on 156 dry seventh cervical vertebrae of cloud sex and age. We observed each for shape, symmetry, number or accessory and spicules. We observed nine different types of shape of . Round shapes of were present in 28.75 %, accessory in 28.84% and spicules in 12.17 % of vertebrae also noted incomplete FT in 5 vertebrae. Disclosures of present evaluation may be helpful for a radiologist in the comprehension of X-segments, dealt with and scans for spine specialists in preoperative arranging and for blocking injury of a vertebral vessel near to sharp nerves during the careful cervical approach.

The point of present evaluation was to decide the layer balancing out impact of methanol and aqueous extract of Begonia trichocarpa on human red platelet (RBC) film. It was an invitro determination, where blood test was collected from the human volunteers and particular concentrations were made by weakening with supports. The cell suspensions were presented to 100 to 1000 μg/mL arrangement of methanol and aqueous extracts of Begonia trichocarpa. Cell film strength was broke down with various conditions like change in temperature and pH. Diclofenac sodium was utilized as standard medication. Every grouping of concentrates was performed in a triplicate way and the information were determined and introduced as Mean with standard deviation. Film settling exercises were altogether higher with cells which were presented to methanol concentrate of Begonia trichocarpa than fluid concentrate. The restraint of cell film break was focus dependent. This evaluation results demonstrated that the two concentrates has cell layer balancing out action on human RBC however methanol extract was powerful than fluid concentrate. Study report proposed that Begonia trichocarpa plant extracts may offer some helpful impacts in the management inflammatory mediators.

Aluminum composites are in reality notably used as a piece of various programs due to their tremendous load to quality homes. Many studies works had been finished to ponder and improve the mechanical houses of aluminum mixes. The formation of alloying segments anticipate a fundamental component in choosing the properties of a mix. The eventual results of numerical systems have been recognized via and massive as they eagerly facilitate with the check comes to fruition. In the present evaluation a numerical examination contraption i.E., restrained section examination (FEA) is used. The paintings presented in this paper is away for the examination of effect of vibration traits of aluminum blends of various sport plans. The displaying and evaluation is finished the usage of ANSYS programming. A secluded assessment is carried out to recognize the vibration direct i.E., trademark repeat and mode shapes, of the cloth considered. The mode shapes and fashionable Recurrence receive a essential part within the framework Of dynamic machines. The consonant evaluation has been made to choose repeat traits. The examination software scrutinizes the information from the records archive shapes the information and makes the yield document containing the nodal migrations and nodal stretch estimations of various nerves. From the examination it's miles assumed that as the copper and silicon content material within the amalgams grows winding decreases then again. ANSYS comes about insist the smallest Modulus twisting and a definitive tractable strengthincaseofthe380 mixes of 380 additions with the extension in copper and silicon content. Subsequently Al 380 amalgams show high-quality fine with least vibration.

The study relates the present evaluation of exposure to estrogenic isoflavones of French consumers through two approaches: (1) identification of the isoflavone sources in the French food offering, (2) a consumption-survey on premenopausal women. For the foodstuff approach 150 food-items were analysed for genistein and daidzein. Additionally, 12,707 labels of processed-foods from French supermarket websites and a restaurant-supplier website were screened, and 1616 foodstuffs of interest were retained. The sources of phytoestrogens considered were soy, pea, broad bean and lupine. A price analysis was performed. A total of 270 premenopausal women from the French metropolitan territory were interviewed for their global diet habits and soy consumption and perception. In supermarkets, there were significantly less selected foodstuffs containing soy than in restaurant (11.76% vs. 25.71%, p < 0.01). There was significantly more soy in low price-foodstuff in supermarket (p < 0.01). Isoflavone levels ranged from 81 to 123,871 µg per portion of the analyzed soy containing foodstuff. Among the women inquired 46.3% claimed to have soy regularly. Isoflavone intake >45 mg/day is associated to vegan-diet (p < 0.01). In total, 11.9% of soy-consumers had a calculated isoflavone intake >50 mg/day. This dose can lengthen the menstrual cycles. The actual exposure to phytoestrogen is likely to have an effect in a part of the French population.

Abstract The National Cancer Institute established a dissemination and implementation accelerator program called SPeeding Research-tested INTerventions (SPRINT) to improve the uptake of evidence-based interventions. The purpose of this study was to describe the origin, structure, and goals of the SPRINT program, and present evaluation results from the first two cohorts of the program. Qualitative (focus group) and quantitative (survey) data collected from participants were used to evaluate the course and inform program improvement efforts. The majority of the participants (over 90% in both cohorts) rated the course highly, and over 80% would recommend the course to other researchers. Most participants indicated knowing relatively little about business model concepts before SPRINT, but after SPRINT, nearly all respondents felt that they had at least “some” knowledge of each business model component. Participants also indicated that they learned about the product–market fit of their intervention and gained insights from customer discovery interviews that would enable them to make their intervention more “stakeholder focused”. Participants also indicated that they plan to use the knowledge and skills they gained during the SPRINT program in their future work. Feedback from participants was used by the management team to implement various program improvements to better serve the next cohort of participants. While behavioral researchers face significant barriers to commercializing their interventions, they recognize the importance of translating their research into practice. Training researchers to consider scale-up, implementation, and commercialization from the outset can help reduce the number of proven interventions that are never used in practice.
