AbstractMycological and hydrochemical research was conducted in two different types of reservoirs connected with the Narew riverbed (three tributaries and three lotic oxbow lakes) in two growing seasons. The obtained results seem to indicate that more favorable conditions for the development of the analyzed microorganisms prevailed in the studied tributaries of the Narew. A total of 36 species of fungi and fungus-like organisms were identified in these tributaries in spring and 35 in autumn, while respectively 32 and 26 species in the lotic oxbow lakes. Six taxa not identified in the oxbow lakes were found only in the tributaries of the river. They were:The differences observed in the microfungi species composition in the studied ecosystems are associated, among others, with the time of the year and physicochemical properties of the water. Hydrochemical parameters such as temperature, pH, Mg, N-NH

Cladocera species composition was analyzed in surface sediments of 29 lakes in Central America (Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras). The material studied was collected with an Ekman grab in autumn 2013 from lakes located in lowland, highland and mountain regions. The study revealed high variability in qualitative and quantitative composition of subfossil Cladocera. A total of 31 Cladocera species (5 planktonic and 26 littoral) were identified, as well as 4 morphotypes that could not be identified (NRR 1-4). Planktonic Bosminidae and Daphniidae were the most abundant families. Daphniidae were restricted to water bodies in mountain regions, whereas Bosminidae were widely distributed in lakes with different abiotic conditions. Moreover, Bosminidae species also occurred in highly mineralized waters (> 900 µS cm-1). The great majority of the identified Cladocera species belonged to the littoral family Chydoridae. Chydorus cf. sphaericus was the most common species (found in 20 lakes), which probably reflects its tolerance to a wide spectrum of habitat conditions. Cluster analysis discriminated 6 groups of Cladocera species with a high correlation level within groups (≥0.8), which showed different types of correlation with lake characteristics and environmental variables. Canonical correspondence analysis (CCA) showed that altitude and secondly water electrical conductivity were the most important drivers of Cladocera species composition in the region studied. Furthermore, CCA analysis indicated lowland lakes with low water transparency were also characterized by peculiar species assemblages.

On the highlands of the north – eastern part of the Lesser Caucasus were investigated ontogenetic characteristics Cerastium davuricum in different type of plants. There are found that cenopopulation spices goes through a 4- and 10-year periods. Age composition cenopopulations species is very variable and is associated with the biological characteristics of species composition of the sward, the economic use of pastures. In research found the following types of cenopopulation: normal, invasive, regressive. Meanwhile, the predominance of vegetative individuals in the population in the first case indicates the weakness of cenopopulation, and in the second case, the high number of generative individuals indicates the sustainability of cenopopulation. This arrangement of population under less favorable conditions compared with another one.

The species composition of zooplankton in mineralized water bodies located in the Ulug-Khem basin (Republic of Tuva) was studied. These lakes have the status of natural monuments of regional significance. In total we recorded 53 species of microscopic Custaceans and Rotifers from 32 genera, 13 families, and 8 orders. Cladocera comprises 53% of the species. The dependence of the species diversity on the level of mineralization was revealed; 89% of the species were found in brackish water bodies. The zooplankton composition of the hyperhaline lakes Dus-Khol (Svatikovo) and Cheder has remained constant for many dozen years. The zooplankton includes some species known only from Republic of Tuva in Russia, namely, Microcyclops afganicus and Macrotrix tabrizensis. M. asiaticus and Alona irinae, rare for the fauna of Russia, live in the lake Haak-Hol. A decrease in the total numbers of zooplankton is observed in the lakes, namely: in the lake Dus-Khol, it has decreased by 4 times, in the lake Khadyn it has decreased by 10–19 times as compared to the middle of the last century. Despite the lack of intermediate information, we regard this as a consequence of anthropogenic impact. The emergence of an indicator of pollution (Brachionus nilsoni) in the lake Khadin confirms this version. At the same time, the stable finding of species rare for the fauna of Russia indicates the presence of favorable conditions for their development and life, which increases the value of the reservoirs themselves, which are already unique natural objects.

The article deals with the problem of transportation of agricultural products. The main causes of problems in this area are identified. The mechanism of creating favorable conditions in the system of globalization relations of the modern economy is analyzed. The fundamental elements in the transport system are competition orientation and information ownership over a certain period of time. Globalization involves the integration of different types of transport systems at the sectoral characteristics. The purpose of the research is to study the essence, meaning and prospects of the concept of “economic transport space in the national food supply system" in the processes of food market globalization. The main indicators of the “economic space" are: first, to determine the parameters that characterize the economic transport space, and secondly, to determine the prospects for using its structural elements in the system of transport supply relations, depending on the temporal and spatial components in the modern sector of the economy to provide food for the needs of society.

Aquatic oligochaetes can be found associated with different types of substrates; including bryophytes (mosses and liverworts) adhered to stones in lotic ecosystems. However, little information is available on the association between oligochaetes and bryophytes in tropical region. Therefore, the aims of this study were: to investigate whether the assemblages of oligochaetes respond to variation in the biomass of bryophytes and quantity of particulate organic matter (POM) present on these plants; verify differences in the composition of oligochaetes in streams flowing through areas with two phytophysiognomies (rocky field and seasonal semideciduous forest). The samples were collected from five first-order streams in the southeast of the state of Minas Gerais. Six samples of bryophytes adhered to stones were obtained from each stream. A total of 1586 oligochaetes were collected and 11 taxa were identified, belonging to the families Naididae and Enchytraeidae. The most abundant taxa were Bothrioneurum (37.95%) and Enchytraeidae (33.01%). A positive relation was observed between oligochaete abundance and POM in two streams (Ibitipoca I and Ibitipoca III) and a positive relation was found between oligochaete abundance and bryophyte biomass in one stream (Ibitipoca I). The composition of the fauna varied within and between the phytophysiognomies studied. The results show that the oligochaetes find favorable conditions to establish themselves in bryophytes, evidencing the ecological importance of these plants as habitat for invertebrates.

AbstractThe distribution and ecology of desmids in wetland habitats in the Czech Republic were studied during 2003–2007. Samples were taken also from various aerophytic habitats and temporary pools thet had not been sufficiently studied before. Altogether 110 desmids taxa were found in 31 samples which were ordinated on the basis of their desmid species composition using a multivariate statistic method. The discussion focuses on the most interesting findings and on the factors that influence the distribution of desmids in different types of aerophytic habitats.

Abstract A range of cultivar types, including two-row and six-row types as well as line and hybrid types, are used for winter barley production in Ireland. There is little information available on the fertiliser nitrogen (N) requirements or the N use efficiency of these different types, particularly under Irish conditions. The objectives of the work presented here were to compare the response to fertiliser N of a two-row line cultivar, a six-row line cultivar and a six-row hybrid cultivar in terms of grain yield and aspects of N use efficiency. Experiments were carried out over three growing seasons, in the period 2012-2014, on a light-textured soil comparing the response of the three cultivars of winter barley to fertiliser N application rates ranging from 0 to 260 kg N/ha. There was no evidence that cultivar type, regardless of whether it was a two-row or six-row line cultivar or a six-row hybrid cultivar, influenced the response to fertiliser N of winter barley. There were some indications that six-row cultivars were less efficient at recovering soil N but used accumulated N more efficiently than the two-row cultivar. This work provided no evidence to support adjustment of fertiliser N inputs to winter barley based on cultivar type.

Sidinskiy and Pribaitakskiy steppes are the part of the Minusinsk province of the Altai-Sayan mountain country. On the territory of steppes 12 local floras (LF) were marked and examined using the same method. Studies were carried out according to the recommendations of A.I. Tolmachev (1931): identification of different types of ecotypes of LF, the full species composition of ecotypes (flora inventory), tracking the completeness of detection in LF. In the Sidinskiy steppe the number of families in the LF varies from 25 (Syida) to 43 (v. Alha), in the Pribaitakskiy steppe there is a big difference in the number of families in the LF from 31 (Krasnoyarsk reservoir, Tuba) to 65 (Mayak, Idra). The leading families in the local steppe flora are Asteraceae, Poaceae, Fabaceae. The Fabaceae family ranks third in the top of ten families in 50 % of LF, determining the type of flora as the Mediterranean-Central Asian (Fabaceae-type). Different types of LF allow to determine the type of all steppe flora as mixed, combining features of boreal (Asteraceae-Poaceae- type) and steppes flora (Fabaceae-type) with close ties with Central European floras (Rosaceae-type). 4 distinct levels of species richness are determined: 1 − 496-544; 2 − 408-413; 3 − 319-374; 4 − 279-298 species.
