The article gives a brief description and results of the study of the Lviv region teachers of mathematics opinion on the possibility and necessity of a competent approach to the formation of the content of mathematical education in the new Ukrainian school. A competent approach to reforming Ukrainian schooling under the slogan of the "new Ukrainian school" is one of the main "cross-cutting lines" of reform, and now its relevance determines its specification in relation to certain disciplines of the school curriculum – which is the subject of this article. As part of the implementation of this approach, at the Faculty of Natural and Mathematical Education of Lviv Region Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education, in the period 2015-2019, the study of the subject competences of pupiles, in particular mathematical ones, was conducted. The purpose of the study was to find out the attitude of mathematics teachers to the competent approach in general and their vision of the mathematical competences of students in particular. In the process of studying with mathematics teachers - pupiles of advanced training courses at the institute, a broad discussion was held on the content of the concept of "mathematical competence", which was the main object of the study. As a basic principle, it is advisable to specify a competent approach, the principle begun in this approach in the English-speaking countries, primarily in the United Kingdom and the United States, suggests, since in our lexicon we borrowed the term "competence of pupiles " precisely from them. This is characteristic of the Anglo-Saxon philosophy of education, the principle of practicality (for the benefit of oneself): the so-called "Utilitarianism" in the British version and "pragmatism" in the American version. Teachers who participated in the study suggested replacing the outdated Soviet principle of polytechnics, calling it the principle of practical life. As a result of his discussion in applying to the content options of school mathematical education, teachers have identified five cross-cutting content lines of this education: arithmetic, algebraic, geometric, stochastic and logical.

Conceptions of third-grader elementary school about integersAbstractThis article described the conception of a third-grader elementary school in the City of Bengkulu about integers outside formal learning. This student experienced many interventions without scenarios in their learning, including their families (a brother in eighth-graders who had good mathematics achievements, parents were mathematics education lecturer) and an abacus training. The explored conceptions were the meaning of negative numbers, integers, and addition and subtraction operations on integers. This research was qualitative research with a case study approach. The subject was asked several questions regarding the conception of integers. The results of this research indicated that the subject had the following conception: 1) using the term “less”, “debt”, or “position under the surface” to interpret negative integers; 2) interpreting negative integers as the inverse of the addition of natural numbers; 3) differentiating the negative symbol and the subtraction operation symbol, 4) locating negative integers to the left of “0” on a number line; 5) locating smaller negative integers to the left of other negative integers like numbers on a ruler and having an ability to use a wall as a substitute of a number line; 6) using terms “forward” or “backward” to operate integer additions; and 7) using the term “distance”, “jumps over the number line”, and “jumps under the number line” to operate integer subtractions.

The instrument for measuring knowledge in the subject of Elementary School Curriculum Study and Development has been created to measure students' understanding of teacher candidates in applying concepts, implications and curriculum development at the elementary school level. In order to make reliable and feasible instrument for measuring students knowledge in the subject of Elementary School Curriculum Study and Development, this study aims to produce empirical evidence about the validity and reliability of test instruments using the Rasch model analysis. The study was conducted by testing 20 items on 142 elementary school teacher candidate at one of the State Universities in the City of Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara. The validity and reliability of the instrument were measured by the Rasch analysis model using the Winstep program. The one-dimensional testing of 20 items has a variance measured at 42.7% which exceeds the minimum points of 40.0% desired by the Rasch model. The reliability index of the respondents was 0.65 and the item reliability index was 0.98. All items show a positive value for Point Measure Correlation (PMC) in terms of item polarity which means there is no conflict between the item and the construct being measured. Outfit Mean Square value also shows that all items that almost all items have an MNSQ Outfit value smaller than 1.5 which means the measurement value can be said to be productive except for item 13 (3.77) and item 16 (3.77). Both of these items need to be re-examined because they have problems in measuring their validity. The results of this study have proven that the knowledge measurement test instrument in the Elementary School Curriculum Study and Development course has validity and reliability values that meet and are empirically feasible to be used in measuring Basic School Curriculum Study and Development knowledge for prospective teacher students.

Dualidade Corpo e Intelecto. Educação Básica. Gestão Educacional. AbstractThe purpose of this paper is to present an investigation aimed at understanding the Physical Education subject status e within the scope of the Brazilian elementary school regarding the philosophical relationship of its proposal together with the educational documents and its application in the school context, focusing on the epistemological relationship among physical corporeality, intellectual dimension and its dichotomies. The research itinerary included a bibliographic review among several authors dealing with the theme, as well as a field investigation with twelve educational managers, carried out in the elementary schools of the city of Pará de Minas, MG, between May and June 2020 Once the data were tabulated and analyzed, some conclusions were reached that point to a veiled devaluation of the Physical Education subject in the perception and performance of the interviewed managers, such facts can be observed, when 25% of the interviewees understand that Physical Education has a lesser degree of importance in the student’s education than other subjects in the school curriculum, and yet, the lack of knowledge of 33% of managers regarding planning, as well as 8% of them are unaware of the existence of content evaluations. Such analyzes pointed to a Physical Education still subject to other school subjects, although Physical Education is mandatorily inserted as a curricular component. Keywords: Teaching. Influenced by Arabic and Persian traditions, the plural word Ādāb in the Uzbek language (sing. adab) as a social term connotes a discipline of character development in ethics and morals. As a literary term, adab means a concept of aesthetics that teaches morality. The prevalence of the concept in Uzbek society is evidenced by the fact that there is a school subject called Odobnoma: adab studies. These elementary-school classes aim to cultivate moral uprightness, social responsibility and virtue. On the surface, the subject seems to be secular, yet a closer analysis of the themes and topics of Odobnoma reveals indirect Islamic influence. This is partly because Central Asian cultures contain Islamic teachings, which have become a part of the national understanding of morality, ethics and etiquette. This article explores the influence of these teachings from the Uzbek perspective of “national character.”
