HAPPENING AT DAYBREAK: DEVELOPING SELFKNOWLEDGE THROUGH HAPPENING PRACTICE.Abstract: This text seeks to discuss the intended place of art in relation to the professional training and education of young students at the Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia Rio Grande do Sul (Federal Institute of Education, Science and Techonology) – IFRS, Rio Grande Campus. This is the starting point from which we consider the conception and execution of an aesthetic intervention in the school environment, whose objective, although unconscious on the part of the students, was to problematize the technical complexity of their education. The happening described was executed in 2012 by the students in the course Integrated Technician (TI) in Industrial Automation. The students reports are the basis for this discussion about the activity’s conceptual process, which took into consideration the students’ daily lives and the time they spent at school creating a dialogue between leisure and school environment. Also presented are the impact on the students throughout the development of the activity and how it transformed them.

This case study deals with the conceptof Interpersonal Relationship, foreseen in the Pedagogical Projects of the course -PPC's Technologist in Management Processes of Campi of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul. In addition to being described in PPCs, in profile of the course and the graduate, Interpersonal Relationship is also an extremely valued skill in the world of work. The main objective is to analyze how the concept of Interpersonal Relationship is worked through the courses in Technology inManagement Processes. Paulo Freire's theory and his considerations on critical awareness, dialogicity and humanization served as the basis for this study. The data were generated through interviews with four course coordinators (Porto Alegre, Farroupilha,Osório and Caxias do Sul), in order to analyze their understanding of the concept of Interpersonal Relationship and their insertion throughout the course. The results indicate that the concept of Interpersonal Relationship has a wide approach in some disciplines formalized in the Pedagogical Course Project, but also occurs informally in other disciplines, according to the teachers' pedagogical profile and practices. The work highlights the importance of developing and updating the Pedagogical Course Project, as it is the expression of the course. And it also stresses the relevance of addressing the concept of Interpersonal Relationship in the higher course of Technology in Management Processes, aiming at a humanized formation, extremely valued in the professional sphere.

Evaluation of different food attractives for capture of Drosophila suzukii (Matsumura) (Diptera, Drosophilidae) in the peach cropAbstract. Rio Grande do Sul is the leading Brazilian state in the production of temperate fruits, with the Upper Northeast Slope being the main producing region for table peach. Drosophila suzukii (Matsumura) (Diptera, Drosophilidae) have been recorded in peach orchards in the region with little information about their behavior in the crop. In this work, it was evaluated food attractives for capture of D. suzukii adults in the peach crop, being verified the selectivity to non-target insects. The work was carried out in the municipality of Cotiporã (29°03’27”S 51°41’53”W), Rio Grande do Sul. The monitoring of D. suzukii was carried out in an area of 0.5 hectare with commercial orchard of peach trees, of the cultivar Premier, during the period from August 22 to December 19, 2016 (from beginning of fruiting production until harvest). In order to carry out the monitoring of D. suzukii, "fly-hunting" traps were installed in the area to evaluate the following food attractives: a) hydrolyzed protein of pure animal origin (Suzukii Trap®), b) pure apple cider vinegar and, c) a mixture of yeast, sugar and water. The collected D. suzukii specimens were taken to the Laboratory of Entomology of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology, Campus Bento Gonçalves, where they were identified based on external morphology and analysis of genitalia, and other insects were sorted-separated by order. All food attractives were efficient in capturing D. suzukii, however, Suzukii Trap® was more selective and more attractive for females compared to apple vinegar and biological yeast.

Based on Bakhtin’s philosophy of language, this research has historically described the creation and development of regulatory standards of the undergraduating course of Physics through the PPC analysis, as well as documents which refer to an non-verbal context of the creation of the Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology (IF), and also on the legal aspects that regulate degree courses in Physics. The findings reveal that the degree course in Physics in IFRS/BG has come mainly from a requirement of the IF’s law: the creation of undergraduate courses. Thus, the emergency regime for the implementation of this course resulted in a PPC with no relation to the documents, as well as a focused on a curriculum focused on subjects without a proper link to the educational disciplines (essential for teacher training). However, with the formation of a faculty to act in the undergraduate courses of the institution, this context has changed so that the last PPC in Physics degree has been reviewed to meet institutional demands, but also to bring a new vision for the course, which connects the pedagogical training with specific contents of Physics. Keywords: Teacher Training. Abstract Background The Bagé Cohort Study of Ageing is a population-based cohort study that has recently completed the first follow-up of a representative sample of older adults from Bagé, a city with more than 100,000 inhabitants located in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. This is one of the first longitudinal studies to assess the impact of primary health care coverage on health conditions and inequalities. Our aim is to investigate the prevalence, incidence and trends of risk factors, health behaviours, social relationships, non-communicable diseases, geriatric diseases and disorders, hospitalisation, self-perceived health, and all-cause and specific-cause mortality. In addition, we aim to evaluate socioeconomic and health inequalities and the impact of primary health care on the outcomes under study. Methods/design The study covers participants aged 60 or over, selected by probabilistic (representative) sampling of the urban area of the city of Bagé, which is covered by Primary Health Care Services. The baseline examination included 1593 older adults and was conducted from July 2008 to November 2008. After eight to nine years (2016/2017), the first follow-up was conducted from September 2016 to August 2017. All participants underwent an extensive core assessment programme including structured interviews, questionnaires, cognitive testing (baseline and follow-up), physical examinations and anthropometric measurements (follow-up). Results Of the original participants, 1395 (87.6%) were located for follow-up: 757 elderly individuals (47.5%) were re-interviewed, but losses in data transfer occurred for 22. The remaining 638 (40.1%) had died. In addition, we had 81 (5.1%) refusals and 117 (7.3%) losses. Among the 1373 older adults who were followed down, there was a higher proportion of female interviewees (p=0.042) and a higher proportion of male deaths (p=0.001) in 2016/2017. There were no differences in losses and refusals according to gender (p=0.102). There was a difference in average age between the interviewees (68.8 years; SD ±6.5) and non-interviewees (73.2 years; SD ±9.0) (p<0.001). Data are available at the Department of Social Medicine in Federal University of Pelotas, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, for any collaboration.
