Data compiled by content analysis. Results: two thematic categories emerged: fear and frustration, divisors in the search for dignity in terminality and incipience in academic training and a reductionist view of palliative care. ABSTRACT Objectives: to comprehend the perception of undergraduate nursing students about learning to care for the child and family through clinical simulation. Methods: this is a qualitative research conducted with ten nursing students through semi-structured interviews. Data were analyzed through content analysis. Results: data were organized into two categories: “learning a new way to learn,” in which students describe their experiences during the simulation, and “learning a new way to care,” in which they reflect on learning through simulation. Final considerations: we believe that clinical simulation practice in teaching should be encouraged because of the benefits it can offer to the students, faculty, patients and their families. However, we recommend further studies to validate scenarios of child and family healthcare.

Considering the human being as a unit composed of body, mind and spirit, it is important that nurses evaluate the need for spiritual intervention. This study aims to describe the understanding of nurses about the meaning of spirituality and religiosity at a hospital. This is an exploratory and qualitative research that was carried out with 17 nurses. Data were collected through semistructured interview and analyzed using content analysis. Results show that nurses identify the particularities involved in the concepts of spirituality and religiosity and recognize the link between them. The applicability of these terms in nurses' clinical practice is directly influenced by their own spirituality and religiosity, by their academic training and their fear of negative repercussions resulting from the direct approach of these issues with patients.

ABSTRACT Objectives: to compare pedagogical supervisors’ and clinical supervisors’ perceptions about the errors made by nursing students in clinical clerkship. Methods: a qualitative exploratory-descriptive study developed with 105 participants. Data collection was performed with a questionnaire with open-ended questions. Content analysis performed according to the conceptual model of student errors in clinical teaching. Results: pedagogical supervisors perceive, in descending order, errors in transversal competencies, in the execution of care and medication. Clinical supervisors perceive, in descending order, the execution of care, medication, and transversal competencies. Final Considerations: there was coincidence and complementarity in clinical supervisors’ and pedagogical supervisors’ perceptions, although not in the same order, regarding the errors made. This study presents contributions related to the existing knowledge in relation to medication errors, which are not the most perceived, and those of transversal competencies, which take on a prominent position.
