Esta pesquisa propõe-se a analisar a opinião do aluno de Enfermagem sobre as contribuições da Análise Existencial na sua formação. Estudo de caráter qualitativo, realizado com discentes do curso de Enfermagem do segundo ao oitavo período. A coleta de dados foi realizada através de entrevistas por meio do Grupo Focal, e para análise foi escolhido a técnica de análise de conteúdo de acordo com Bardin, que revelou 76 Unidades de Significado, oito Categorias temáticas que formaram duas Unidades Temáticas Centrais. A Análise Existencial pode contribuir para a formação humana, pois traz uma fundamentação que permite uma vivência real da humanização do cuidar, possibilitando sair do discurso para uma reflexão do seu sentido, além de possibilitar uma melhor compreensão do cuidado integral, de forma que estes passam a influenciar os outros a praticarem esse cuidado na assistência mesmo em situações não favoráveis.Descritores: Estudantes de Enfermagem, Humanização da Assistência, Capacitação Profissional. Integral care: contributions of existential analysis for the nurse’s formationAbstract: This research aims to analyze the student's opinion of the nursing on the contributions of Existential Analysis in its formation. Qualitative study, carried out with students of the nursing course from the second to the eighth period of the college. Data collection was done through interviews through the Focal Group, for content analysis, according to Bardin. The analysis revealed 76 Units of Meaning, 8 Thematic Categories that formed 2 Central Thematic Units. Estudo descritivo, exploratório, qualitativo, realizado na Universidade do Oeste Paulista (UNOESTE) com o objetivo de comparar os conhecimentos dos discentes dos 1º e 8º termo do curso de Enfermagem, a fim de compreender a influência deste conhecimento na promoção do aleitamento materno e na prevenção do desmame precoce. Foram avaliados 16 acadêmicos de enfermagem por meio de entrevista semiestruturada, sendo as mesmas gravadas e transcritas na íntegra. Analisou-se o conteúdo através da “Técnica de Análise de Conteúdo de Bardin”. Emergiram nos resultados três categorias: “A reiteração da compreensão sobre os benefícios e período preconizado referentes ao aleitamento materno”; “As implicações do desmame precoce para a saúde do binômio mãe-filho”; “Atuação da enfermagem frente a prevenção das intercorrências da amamentação e na promoção do aleitamento materno”. Evidenciou-se que os estudantes percorrem uma construção científica do saber, tornando-os estruturados e aptos a promover o aleitamento materno e prevenir seu cessamento precoce.Descritores: Aleitamento Materno. Desmame. The training of nurses influencing the promotion of breastfeedingAbstract: Descriptive, exploratory, qualitative study, carried out at the Universidade do Oeste Paulista (UNOESTE) to compare the knowledge of students from the 1st and 8th term of the Nursing course, to understand the influence of this knowledge in the promotion of breastfeeding and the prevention of early weaning. 16 nursing students were evaluated through semi-structured interviews, which were recorded and transcribed in full. The aim of this article is to analyze the fears about menstruation and health that have been passed down to us by oral transmission from a gender perspective. A qualitative study, whose design was the Grounded Theory, performed in Seville, Spain, with 24 rural and urban women from different generations, young (18-25, 26-35 years), middle aged (36-45, 46-55, 56-65 years) and elderly (> 65 years). The semi-structured interview was used as a data collection technique. The discourses were subjected to content analysis, following the steps of Grounded Theory. The results highlight the abundant fears related to use of water during menstruation, with very harmful effects to health. As a conclusion to highlight the lack of women's knowledge about reproductive health and that despite Health Education campaigns there are still ancient misconceptions present about menstruation.

AbstractBackgroundAdolescence is one of the most important stages in every individual’s life. Pubertal changes and acquiring reproduction capability require adolescents to perform special health care processes. Also the possibility of involvement in high-risk sexual behaviors endangers adolescent girls’ sexual and reproductive health.ObjectiveIncrease and deepen the understanding and knowledge of the factors affecting Iranian adolescent girls’ readiness to take care of their sexual and reproductive health.Materials and methodsThe present qualitative study was conducted using conventional content analysis method. The participants included 18 adolescents who were aged 13–19 years old, single, studying at high school, art school, or university and had no history of chronic medical or psychological diseases; further, most of them had the experience of menstruation. Purposive sampling was initiated and continued until data saturation. Data collection were performed using in-depth and unstructured interviews. Qualitative content analysis of the interviews was conducted simultaneously with data collection using the Graneheim and Lundman approach .MAXQDA 2010 software was used for storage, retrieval, and management of the data.FindingsPreparation for care was the main theme that emerged in this study along with 19 subcategories and four main categories, including desirable interaction between families and adolescents, readiness for puberty and menstruation, life skills and spiritual self-monitoring.ConclusionThe education and health care systems’ authorities of the country can exploit the results of this study for making policies and interventions expedient to the society’s cultural conditions in order to improve the reproductive and sexual self-care status of adolescents’ girls.

ABSTRACT Objective: To analyze the care practices of professionals from the Street Clinic team (SCt) about the care provided to users of alcohol and other drugs in Macapá, capital city of the state of Amapá. Method: Descriptive, qualitative study, carried out between April and June 2017. Ten SCt professionals participated. Five guiding questions were used for data collection, later analyzed through Bardin’s Thematic Content Analysis. Results: Facilitating care strategies involved harm reduction, teamwork, creating the link with users, team commitment and partnership with other members of the Psychosocial Care Network (PSCN). Of the factors that make care difficult, are the deficit of self-care, structural and human resources, and prejudice. Conclusion: Professionals are aware of the purpose and importance of SCt in strengthening PSCN. Conclusion: When conducting a practice based on public policies, care for the street population is facilitated.

The purpose of this study is to determine the opinions of students about STEAM activities. This qualitative study was conducted on the with 7th grade students (n=37) who are studying at a public school in Istanbul. A purposeful sampling was used in this study. Nine STEAM activities were used while teaching Force and Energy unit. An evaluation form which is composed of open-ended questions was used as a data collection instrument at the end of the teaching process. The responses provided by students for the evaluation form were analysed qualitatively to determine the opinions of students about the activities. The study was structured as qualitative research and content analysis technique was used to evaluate the obtained data. The findings revealed that a relatively positive attitude about STEAM activities and the contribution that the approach had on students. It was therefore concluded that students have few negative opinions about STEAM activities.

Abstract Background: Due to getting optimal psychiatric nursing care, competent psychiatric nurses is required. One approach for MSc psychiatric nursing students` optimal clinical competency is clinical education. Identifying the factors affecting on achieving maximum scientific and technical abilities, education would be more effective. This study aims to explore the meta competency required in MSc students in psychiatric nursing.Methods: This is a qualitative study with content analysis approach conducted on 21 participants in Iran. Sampling were done based on purposive sampling. Data were collected using individual semi structured and in-depth interviews. Collected data were analyzed using the conventional content analysis. The rigor of qualitative data were assessed using the 4 criteria proposed by Guba and Lincoln. Results: Four dimensions were revealed: (1)Thinking and clinical reasoning skills, (2)Dynamic learning, (3)Research and evidence based practice, (4)Human and organizational management. Each category had several distinct sub-categories.Conclusions: The results of this study showed that meta-competency for psychiatric nursing MSc students is multidimensional concept. The findings of the study can be used for educating MSc students in psychiatric nursing and evaluating meta competency. More studies on meta competency required psychiatric nursing students and designing an objective tool for assessing them meta competency in Iran are proposed.

ABSTRACT This study investigated to understand how user embracement of users with acute illness or chronic worsened works, which has no scheduled service (spontaneous demand) from the perspective of workers of the reception service of health centers in a municipality in the southern region of Brazil. Descriptive exploratory qualitative study conducted in ten health centers in a municipality of Santa Catarina, Brazil. In data collection 17 workers from the reception of these health services were interviewed between January and March 2014. Thematic content analysis was performed. The results showed that user access does not occur as recommended by the Ministry of Health, due to weaknesses in the work process. Therefore, it is necessary to reorganize the work process, considering the reception as a strategic point in order to qualify the access of users to the Unified Health System.

ABSTRACT Objective: To verify the use of procedures record tools as data source for monitoring and assessment of Psychosocial Care Centers (CAPS- Centros de Atenção Psicossocial). Method: A descriptive, exploratory qualitative study was carried out in seven CAPS in the state of Goiás. A total of 58 professionals participated, and the data collection was from April to May 2016 through focus groups. The data were submitted to the thematic analysis of content with the aid of the ATLAS.ti 6.2 software. Results: Three thematic categories emerged from the content analysis: Understanding about the record of Psychosocial Care Centers procedures; Management of the record tools of Psychosocial Care Centers procedures; and Intervening factors for recording Psychosocial Care Centers procedures. Final considerations: Investment in the Permanent Education of professionals will be necessary; focusing on the management of the records resulted from the actions developed in the CAPS to qualify the information and the work process of the professionals.

The aim of this study was to identify how nursing students perceive and experience the learning process during curricular practice in a hospital setting. A qualitative, retrospective, documentary study was developed in an undergraduate nursing course. Data were comprised of 162 posts made by 34 students in the online discussion forum of the Learning Management System Moodle, during the first half of 2011. The following themes emerged from the thematic content analysis: "nursing students' understanding about the professional practice," and "the teaching and learning process in the perspective of nursing students." The study demonstrated that the forum was a place for reporting experiences such as the description of the physical area, performing procedures, perception of nursing care activities, conflicts with peers, coping with death and learning evaluation. The online discussion forum needs to be used by professors as a space of interaction so as to contribute to professional training.

Objetivo: compreender a percepção de mães e pais adolescentes sobre o aleitamento materno. Metodologia: estudo descritivo, qualitativo, cujos participantes foram 11 adolescentes, os quais foram selecionados em uma maternidade do Paraná, para posterior coleta de dados no domicílio, 30 dias após a alta hospitalar. Os dados foram coletados no ano de 2017, por meio de entrevistas individuais amparadas por roteiro semiestruturado. Posteriormente as entrevistas foram transcritas e analisadas pela técnica de análise de conteúdo. Resultados: emergiram cinco categorias: preparo e apoio da mãe adolescente; função paternal no processo de amamentação; conhecimento sobre aleitamento materno; dificuldade de amamentar na adolescência e vivenciando a amamentação na adolescência. Conclusão: os adolescentes reconhecem a importância do aleitamento materno, recebem apoio familiar, mas os serviços de saúde apresentam lacunas assistenciais a serem superadas.Descritores: Aleitamento Materno; Enfermagem; Adolescente.PERCEPTION OF MOTHERS AND ADOLESCENT COUNTRIES ON MATERNAL BREASTFEEDINGObjective: to understand the perception of mothers and adolescent parents about breastfeeding.
