The results of study indicated that the preparation of accountability reports was very important in research, because it helped in monitoring the use of research funds, controlling expenditures, and making the use of research funds more effective and efficient. The obstacles that researchers face in preparing financial statements were the limited time of researchers, some expenses that could not be reported in the accountability system, as well as various regulatory changes. Efforts to overcome existing obstacles by reporting and consulting with related parties, namely the finance department, involved a team that was competent in finance and asked for help from related administrative staff and improved the financial literacy of researchers.

Hospital was established to serve the medical needs of the citizen. In addition to serving, hospitals also need to explore the benefits for the sustainability and the development of the hospital. To achieve financial reports have involved a large role. Accounting information system computer-based accounting will help serving the financial reports, so that more accurate and faster. Errors can be diminished.  Research object is selected by the author to conduct research is Bogor Rumah Sakit Islam. A hospital that is located on Jl. Perdana Raya. 22 Budi Agung, Jakarta Utara. This hospital was established on May 12, 1991. The location is strategic as it is in the center of Bogor. In doing activity, accounting information system based on computerized accounting still not yet common use. Computer already exist but support application to create an accurate and fast financial statement does not exist. So much weaknesses if we still using manual method. Like slowly processing data, still using much worker and much step while processing. The information result is still contained high mistake. To solve all problems above we need accounting software as tool for accounting division. For that I try to apply computerized accounting using Microsoft Excel for helping creating financial statement. By doing observation and interview with related employee, this research can do well. Journalize transaction process by using Microsoft Excel is to make a column for each transaction such as Journal Voucher, General Ledger, Balance Sheet. After making a column, the next step is inputing achievement data to Journal Voucher. After inputing data, General Ledger and Balance Sheet can automatically fill up. By using computer, processing data is more faster, information result is more accurately, human resource is less needed. Related management can get information they need more faster, because amount recalculated every doing transaction.

SYNOPSIS We examine whether regulations requiring accelerated filing deadlines and internal control reporting and testing affect financial statement reliability. Unlike prior research, we examine whether these regulatory changes are associated with an increase in the likelihood that misstatements originate in the period following the respective change. If the implementation of these rules causes a misstatement, then the misstatement would most likely occur in the period immediately following the rule change. We provide evidence that accelerated filers (AFs) experience an increase in the likelihood of an originating misstatement following the acceleration of filing deadlines from 90 to 75 days. Large accelerated filers (LAFs), however, do not experience a similar increase following this acceleration or the subsequent acceleration from 75 to 60 days. After the implementation of the SOX Section 404 internal control requirements, we find that the likelihood of an originating misstatement declined for AFs but not for LAFs. Taken together, the findings suggest that, although AFs experienced an initial decrease in financial statement reliability, this decrease was temporary. SYNOPSIS This study examines the association between mandatory financial reporting frequency and the accrual anomaly. Based on regulatory changes in reporting frequency requirements in Taiwan, we divide our sample period into three reporting regimes: a semiannual reporting regime from 1982 to 1985, a quarterly reporting regime from 1986 to 1987, and a monthly reporting regime (both quarterly financial reports and monthly revenue disclosure) from 1988 to 1993. We find that although both switches (from the semiannual reporting regime to the quarterly reporting regime and from the quarterly reporting regime to the monthly reporting regime) hasten the dissemination of the information contained in annual accruals into stock prices and reduce annual accrual mispricing, the switch to monthly reporting has a lesser effect. Our results are robust to controlling for risk factors, transaction costs, and potential changes in accrual, cash flow persistence, and sample composition over time. These results imply that more frequent reporting is one possible mechanism to reduce accrual mispricing. JEL Classifications: G14; L51; M41; M48. Data Availability: Data are available from sources identified in the paper.

This paper presents an economic framework to study strategic interactions along the analyst-auditor-owner disciplinary chain, in which the auditor examines the financial reports prepared by the owner, and the analyst uncovers financial misreporting as well as audit failure. We find that although analyst scrutiny ex post detects misreporting, it ex ante aggravates the owner's misreporting behavior and further impairs financial statement reliability if the legal penalties for the auditor and the owner are small. We also show how the effects of a regulation depend on its target's disciplinarian(s). Specifically, (i) although enhancing the auditor's legal liability always increases audit quality and financial statement reliability, it decreases investment efficiency if and only if the analyst is highly independent; and (ii) increasing the owner's misreporting penalty decreases investment efficiency if and only if either of (but not both) the regulations on the auditor and the analyst is strict.

This paper aims to investigate the Validity of Altman z-score model to predict financial failure in insurance companies listed on Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) over the period 2011-2016. To achieve the goal of the study, the study depended on the different statistics analytical method and Multiple Linear Regression through doing the statistical analysis of the independent variables on the dependent variable related to the subject of the study through the (E-views) program in order to cover the analytical part of the study, in addition to the descriptive method through relying on books, periodicals, previous studies and financial reports of the insurance companies of the study’ sample, whether the direct or the indirect ones, to cover the theoretical part. The result of the study finds a high predictive power for Z-score model. Moreover, the findings reveal that Z-Score model could be valuable instrumental indicators for many users of financial statement such as financial managers, auditors, lenders, investors, to make right decisions in the face of financial failure.
