<p>Good leadership characters have been conveyed through the art of puppet. However, in practice, many of us have encountered the opposite fact. This study aims to analyze the leadership characters in the art of puppet. This research is a descriptive qualitative research which uses hermeneutical method to analyze the data gathered from the library research and field study. The data then passes data reduction step, data classification, and data verification. The results show that leadership characteristics in puppet can be formulated into five leadership concepts: (1) dwikridha, (2) tripakarti, (3) caturtama, (4) pancapratama, and (5) hasthabrata. If these five concepts of leadership are known, understood, and done well, our beloved country, Indonesia, will reach welfare together.</p>

The purpose of this study was to determine the mindset of women in Campursari songs using a deconstruction study. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the mindset of women in Campursari songs using deconstruction studies. This research is included in descriptive qualitative research, because the analysis in this study is a description. The data source used is the text of the Campursari song entitled Balungan Kere, Cidro, Penak Kanca, Kartonyono Medot Janji, and Pamer Bojo. The method used in this research is writing, recording, grouping the data, then the data that has been collected is analyzed using data reduction techniques, data interpretation, and data verification. The result of this research is that there is a deconstruction of the opinion / discourse about Javanese women in Serat Wulang Putri above, it can be concluded that Javanese women are very synonymous with Javanese culture such as speaking soft words, being calm, silent (calm), disliking conflict, emphasizing harmony, uphold family values, able to understand and understand others, polite, high self-control, endurance to suffer high, play a role economically and faithfully. Javanese women are women who really uphold Javanese culture. Some other characteristics of Javanese people are patience and neriman (patience and acceptance with grace).

يهدف هذا البحث إلى الكشف عن معانى حرف الباء باعتباره الحرف الثاني في الأبجدية العربية، وتضمينه على تفسير آية القرآن. ويعتبر هذا البحث من البحوث الوصفية النوعية، نوعه من حيث الموقع فهو البحث المكتبي الذي بياناته تعتمد على الكتب المرجعية والمجلات ونتائج البحوث المتعلقة بموضوع البحث مباشرة. والبيانات التي تم الحصول عليها تتم معالجتها بشكل تفاعلي عن طريق تخفيض البيانات حسب الحاجة وعرض البيانات ثم أخيرا التحقق من البيانات واستخلاص النتيجة  إما بشكل استقرائي أو استنتاجي. ونتائجه تشير إلى أن حرف الباء (ب) في اللغة العربية له معاني متنوعة بلغ مجموعه 14 معنى، وهي: 1) الإلصاق، 2) التعدية، 3) الإستعانة، 4) السببية، 5) المصاحبة والملابسة، 6) الظرفية، 7) البدل، 8) المقابلة (العواض)، 9) المجاوزة، 10) الإستعلاء، 11) التبعيض، 12) القسم، 13) الغاية، و14) الزائدة. وأما تضمينه على تنوع معني حرف الباء فإنه يؤدي إلى ظهور تفسيرات مختلفة لآيات القرآن كما في حالة سورة المائدة/5:6. الكلمات المفتاحية: حرف الباء; اللسانيات العربية; تفسير القرآن Abstract:This study aims to explore the meaning of the letter ba as the second letter in the Arabic alphabet and its implications for the interpretation of the al-Qur'an verse. This research is included in descriptive qualitative research. In terms of location, it is a type of library research which relies on direct data from reference books, journals and research results related to the researcher's theme. The resulting data is processed interactively by reducing the data as needed, and starting to compile it (data display), then finally verifying the data and drawing a conclusion (data verification and conclution) either inductively or deductively. The results of this study indicate that the letter ba in Arabic has a variety of meanings totaling 14 meanings, namely: 1) al-ilshaq, 2) al-ta'diyah, 3) al-istianah, 4) al-sababiyah, 5) al. -musahabah wa al-mulabasah, 6) al-dzarfiyah, 7) al-badal, 8) al-muqabalah (al-'iwadh), 9) al-mujawazah, 10) al-isti'la ', 11) al- tab'idh, 12) al-qasam, 13) al-ghayah, and 14) al-zaidah (al-taukid). The implications of the diversity of meanings of the letter ba, it gives rise to different interpretations of the verses of the al-Qur'an, such as the case in the QS. al-Maidah / 5: 6.

This research aims to examine and analyze the opinion of Syafi'iyyah scholars about intention in prayer. On this problem, Syafi'iyyah scholars are divided into two opinions, namely from the previous period scholars (Mutaqoddimin) whit his opinion intention of al-Muqoronah al-Hakikiyyah, and from the contemporary scholars (mutaakhkhirin) whit his opinion intention of al-Muqoronah al-Urfiyyah. This research is important because the intention in prayer is compulsory case (rukn) and is the beginning of all forms of worship. Other than that many Muslims doubt in his intention so anxiety arises in them. As research that examines the opinions of the scolars, the method used in this research is library research which descriptive qualitative research, where the object of study is literature in the form works in the yellow books, journal and other books. From the explanation and studies that has done, the intention of al-Muqoronah al-Hakikiyyah as stated by the previous period scholars is a law of origin, one must do when praying. Whereas the intention of al-Muqoronah al-Urfiyyah as stated by the contemporary scholars is rukhsah wajibah because of the udzur that befell a person while doing the prayer.

<p>Riddle game is one of the good techniques in teaching speaking. The objectives of this research are to describe the application of riddle game in teaching speaking, identify the advantages, identify the disadvantages and identify the solution of disadvantages of riddle game.</p><p>The researcher uses descriptive qualitative research. The sources of data taken from participants, social situation and document. In this research, the researcher uses purposive sampling. To collect the data, there are observation, interview and documentation. Data validity is triangulation. The data are analyzed by using condensation, display the data, verification and conclusion.</p>The result of this research are (1) the application of riddle game in teaching speaking is divided into three steps: (a) pre-activities (b) whilst-activities (c) post-activities (2) The advantages of riddle game in teaching speaking makes the students active in learning process, happy, increase their vocabulary, able to pronounce some words well and confident to retell the story (3) The disadvantages: makes the class crowded and riddle game has limited time (4) The solution of disadvantages of riddle game is the teacher can manage the time well and able to control the students well in order to make a good atmosphere of the class.

  The concepts of local wisdom inherited through folklores and children literature are the strategies to transform the values considered important to learn by children through textbooks. Therefore, children literature should be meaningful and highly relevant to the empowerment of the children’s life according to the stage of their development. This study questions how to write children’s literature with the theme of local wisdom based on character education. Based on the problem, the study aims to produce children literature with the theme of local wisdom, which is based on character education and according to the children’s development. There are three stages of children literature: emotional, intellectual, and personal development. The study belongs to descriptive qualitative research, employing Brady’s theory on children development and Rampan’s on the technique of writing children literature. Library research and creative process are used in the method. The study generates three models of folklore with the theme of local wisdom according to the children development: Putri Emas dan Burung Ajaib, Putri Cantik dari Pulau Bintan, and Sang Pembangkang. Besides, it also produces three literary works based on character education: “Lalang dan Kupu-Kupu yang Menawan,” “Gara-gara Ketinggalan Bekal,” and “Surti, Mawar, and Kupu-kupu.”

This research aims at finding the types of swearing expressions and linguistic forms of English swearing used in Richard Wright’s Black Boy. This is a descriptive qualitative research since it describes the phenomena of swearing used in the novel. The data of the research are all the conversations or sentences used swearing in the novel written by Richard Wright namely Black Boy as the main data source. The method of collecting data in this research is observation and teknik lanjut catat. After all the data had been collected then they are coded using the coding system such as data number/title of novel/chapter/page/data. There is no data reduction since all the data are analyzed in this research. This research used theory triangulation. Kind of swearing expressions found in this novel dealing with God and religion terms, name of  animals and plants, part of body, racial terms, stupidity terms, name of occupation, sexual terms, family terms. The linguistic forms of English swearing used in this novel are word, phrase, and clause. The swearing in the form of words consists of (1) noun referring to place, person, occupation, animal, and idea (2) verb and (3) adjective. Phrase consists of (1) noun phrase with swearing functioning as headword, modifier, and both headword and modifier, (2) adjective phrase with swearing functioning as modifier. Swearing expression is also found in the form of sentence.

The study aimed to analyze how the language lexical interference of Mandailing Language on Indonesian language. The study conducted descriptive qualitative research as a research method. The subject of the study was the society at Sitamiang Baru, Padangsidimpuan. The techniques of collecting data were interview and recording. In addition, the data were analyzed based on Miles and Huberman in Sugiyono (2016: 338) who said that the steps of analyzing data are; 1) data reduction; 2) data display; 3) conclusion drawing/verification. The result of the study showed that Interference at group vocabulary level, i.e. lexical interference in the form of words basis and lexical interference in the form of repeat words. It means that the society tried to speak by using Indonesian language however, there are some interferences which make the language is interfered by Mandailing language.

This study aims to find out the visualization of the setting as a timepiece in the film “Aach…Aku Jatuh Cinta” through the size of the image. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. The selection of samples in this study was carried out by purposive sampling technique. Data collection is done by observation and interviews, while data analysis is done through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and verification. Research focuses on setting as a timepiece visualized in the film “Aach…Aku Jatuh Cinta” through the size of the image. The results of the research of “Aach…Aku Jatuh Cinta” show the time settings are divided into three sequences, the settings that appeared in 1970, 1980 and 1990.</em></p><p><em>Keywords : visualization, setting, movie, and "Aach...Aku Jatuh Cinta".</em></p><h1> </h1><p align="center"><strong>ABSTRAK</strong></p><p>Studi ini mengkaji film <em>Aach<strong>…</strong>Aku Jatuh Cinta</em>. Pemilihan sampel pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik <em>purposive sampling. </em>Pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan observasi dan wawancara, sedangkan untuk analisis data melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Penelitian fokus pada<em> setting </em>sebagai penunjuk waktu yang divisualisasikan dalam film  <em>Aach<strong>…</strong>Aku Jatuh Cinta</em> melalui ukuran gambar. The writer conducts the research related to class conflict which is presented in Khaled Hosseini’s “The Kite Runner” novel. This qualitative research is written to analyze the conflicts that happen in Afghan society which is mainly caused by difference of social class. The research is conducted by using library research. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method as the data are described in the form of sentences. The steps of collecting the data in this research are reading both the novel and the supporting theories related, analyzing, organizing and displaying the data to allow conclusions to be drawn. The results show that the society in the twentieth is fundamentally separated by two large groups namely Pashtun and Hazara. They are inhabit Afghanistan as told in The Kite Runner. The Pashtuns act as the dominant upper class and the Hazaras fill the society of the lower class which fits the theory of Marxism.

Problem-solving is the important part of mathematics curriculum. Most of students still have difficulties and error in prombelm solving. This research aims to know problem-solving ability of students on counting operations of algebra form. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The subject is students grade VII-F SMP N 1 Wonosari. The data collecting technique is a problem-solving test. The data analysis according to Miles and Huberman, which is data reduction, data presentation, and making the conclusion. The results of this research showing that: (1) 95.56% of students can understand the problem, 4.44% of students cannot understand the problem; (2) 18.33% of students can devising a plan, 81.67% cannot devising a plan; (3) 28.61% of students can carrying out the plan, 71.39% cannot carrying out the plan; (4) 45% can looking back the answer, 55% cannot looking back the answer.
