This chapter analyses the fraud offence from the perspective of ‘wage theft’. The social concept of a ‘wage theft’ encompasses a wide range of dishonest or ‘sharp’ practices: false labelling of individuals as ‘self-employed’ and hence outside the scope of the National Minimum Wage framework, failure to pay holiday pay, unlawful deductions, and an absence of transparency in relation to wage entitlements. It is linked to wider public concerns about the effective enforcement of the statutory minimum wage regime. The chapter then examines whether the social concept of ‘wage theft’ maps onto the legal definition of ‘theft’ in section 1 of the Theft Act 1968. It argues the legal label of theft is ill-suited to the constellation of practices associated with the social label of ‘wage theft’. This is because of the disjunction between the proprietary status of ‘wages’ and the offence elements of theft in English law. In short, unpaid wages will often not count as ‘property belonging to another’ at the time of the dishonest appropriation by the employer, hence there is a difficulty with identifying a complete and coincident mens rea and actus reus.

Abstract The concept of ḥhubb is closely related to daily life. Anyone must have love. Whether it's love from biological aspect, social aspect, or theological aspect. This is one of the reasons why researchers choose the term ḥhubb. And the other reasons are, first, the word ḥhubb is one of the key words in al-Qurān that describes the concept of deed, whether it is the concept of worship, as well as the social concept beloved by God and it is important to be known as the sustainer of everyday life. Secondly, the translation of al-Qurān gives only the earliest description of the meaning of the word ḥhubb only to the extent of the meaning of love, thus requiring a deeper explanation in order to know its meaning comprehensively. So, this study will discuss about the concept of ḥhubb according Sahl bin ‘Abdullāh at-Tusturī in Tafsīr al-Qurān al-Aẓīm. He was known by a mutaṣawwīf and mufassīr

The present article analyses the evaluation of the social concept pomoc (help) from the Old Polish period until the modern times. Contemporarily pomoc expressed by the lexeme pomoc (‘help’) is positively marked in terms of axiology, which manifests itself e.g. in the collocations potrzebować pomocy ‘to require help/assis-tance’, dziękować za pomoc ‘to thank for help’, and above all – warto pomagać ‘it is worthwhile to help’. An integral part of spiritual culture, values constitute an important common heritage, and their understanding throughout centuries is characterised by both continuity and change, which is reflected in the language in which values are referred to and spoken about. The purpose of the present article is to establish whether and when help began to be recognised as a value or whether its evaluation underwent change during the course of more than six centuries. The analysis covered the contextual instances of the usage of the lexeme pomoc(the principal exponent of the concept pomoc) in the history of the Polish language in pursuit of those ele-ments of utterances which indicate the evaluation of the concept – combinations featuring the names of other values, axiologically marked adjectives or metaphorical approaches. On the basis of an analysis of the usage of the lexeme pomoc one may state that since the earliest times pomoc has been considered a value and that this is still the case, and the changes of its evaluation are slight. Therefore, this entity is universal in nature.

This paper deals with the characteristics of the modern pedagogical paradigm, especially that of early and preschool education which emerged in the social context of liberal ideology. In order to better understand the educational model it promotes, the introductory part of the paper discusses the basic principles and starting points of the liberal social concept. The paper problematizes the diversity of the liberal conception of upbringing and education in relation to advocacy of the socialist social concept. The concept of self-regulated learning in the context of upbringing and education of an early and preschool child is observed. Common syntagms of the modern educational paradigm related to early and preschool education, such as the one about space as a third educator, are problematized. In this context, it is considered who or what constitutes basic pedagogical capital. The role of educators in the educational process, as well as the importance of adults in education in general are considered, and from this position the process of self-regulated learning is observed. The importance of self- observation in the current educational paradigm and recognition of the need for its ideological improvement in order to adequately contribute to children's upbringing and education is pointed out.

The fundamental laws of social development are investigated in the interpretation of the concept of global constitutionalism. The author concludes that social development within the framework of the philosophy of global constitutionalism is entirely subordinate to the logic of the preservation and development of the world capitalist system, which allows to preserve power and property in the hands of global governing elites in the person of the global governing class. Research objective: to analyze social development in the interpretation of the socio-philosophical concept of global constitutionalism, to constitute its fundamental laws. Object of research: the phenomenon of globalization of socio-political, state-legal and financial-economic development of national societies and states as a phenomenon of social reality, highlighted in the social concept of global constitutionalism. Subject of research: theoretical content of social development in the interpretation of the philosophy of global constitutionalism in relation to its social essence.

The foundations of the social concept are one of the most important normative acts issued by the Russian Orthodox Church. The unanimous adoption of this document by the Holy Council of Bishops of the Russian Church, which took place on August 13-16, 2000 in Moscow, was not only a local event, but a significant fact on the scale of the entire Orthodox Church worldwide. For the first time in history, one of the autocephalous Orthodox Churches decided to formulate an official position on current social, economic, economic and cultural issues, as well as define the Church-state relationship in the conditions of historical reality in which it found itself at the threshold of the third millennium. The promulgation of the Foundations of the Social Concept has become a powerful impulse for the renewal of spiritual life, greater involvement of the Orthodox clergy in social life, the development of institutional and non-institutional forms of mission and evangelization, and the multidimensional dialogue of Orthodoxy with the world of science, politics and economy. The aim of this publication is to familiarize the Polish reader with the content of chapters twelve and thirteen of the document, which relate to bioethical and ecological issues. It is worth noting that this is their first translation into Polish. The translator hopes that they will contribute to a better understanding of the Orthodox Church’s position on issues that are currently among the most discussed social topics.
