Introduction of organic rice-based rice cultivation technology package through demplot is done in Subak Sungi 1 using ciherang variety. The number of farmers participating in demonstration plots in organic cultivation of paddy-based rice cultivation were 5 people, with age of farmers aged greater than 55 years occupying the highest percentage (45.45%), with elementary education level (72.75%), followed by high school education (18.25%), and junior high (9%). The average farmland area is 34.63 acres, with self-owned status (55,94%), status as penyakap 41,18% and rent status 2,88%. The farmers' response to the organic rice-based rice planting assessment is quite high, as evidenced by the evaluation that 100% of farmers participating in demonstration plots know and understand about organic rice system cultivation, and they agree to develop this cultivation system in the future. Demplot research results can increase the yield components and weight of dry grain harvest per hectare. Organic rice-based rice cultivation technology EVAGRO able to increase production of dry grain harvest significantly with a value of 6.8 tons / ha. There is a tendency of dry weight value of ciherang varieties of 6.8 tons / ha giving highest but not significantly different with PGPR organic based technology.

The aims of this research are to find out the ammount of profit, profitability, R/C Ratio, and analyzing the ammount of production during 5 years of organic rice farming in the Al-Barokah community, Susukan District, Semarang Regency. This study was conducted on December 2016 – January 2017 in Ketapang Village, Susukan, Semarang. The study method used to collect the data was survey method. The data collected of study was the primary data and the secondary data. The location in this research is selected by several considerations, such as Al-Barokah association is one of farming trade association that uses organic farming system. The populations retrieval used purposive method, then determine the number of samples used the slovin formula. The respondent in this research are 81  farmers  of organic rice. The data analyzed of study was the farming income, R/C Ratio, profitability and trand analysis. Based on the result of income analysis, R/C Ratio and profitability has done that organic rice farming is very feasible and very profitable.Keywords: profitability analysis, farming, organic rice.

"Berkat" Farmers Group and "Serasi" Farmers Group are farmer groups located in Lidah Tanah Village, Perbaungan District. There are various problems found in the two farmer groups, which are: (a) Low / limited farmer income, (b) Increasing pests and diseases attack, (c) Unfamiliarity about mina padi lele cultivation system and do not implement it to increase their income, to optimize land, to reduce pest and weed attacks, to increase the efficiency of fertilizers and water usage, (d) Farmers do not know and do not implement routine pest monitoring systems, (e) Farmers have no knowledge about organic pesticides production, (f) Farmers have no knowledge about organic feed production for catfish cultivation and (g) Environmental pollution due to excessive use of pesticides and less utilization of harvest waste such as rice straw. The solution to overcome these various problems is by applying mina padi lele technology, which is a farming system by combining the techniques of rice cultivation and raising fish simultaneously in paddy fields. The results showed that the application of the mina padi lele cultivation system greatly benefited farmers, where organic rice produced from the mina padi lele system was 263.5 kg/rante (1 rante equals to 625 m2) with additional 57.5 kg/rante of organic catfish products while non-organic rice produced from cultivation conventionally applied by farmers is 257.6 kg / rante.

Rice is the main commodity in Indonesia so it needs to be supported by technological innovation in the context of increasing production. Currently, the Agricultural Research and Development Agency has created technological innovations to increase rice production because it is necessary to disseminate information on technological innovations so that all users can know and take advantage of these innovations. The purpose of writing this paper is to provide information and an overview of some of the current agricultural technological innovations in Indonesia that contribute to increasing rice production in Indonesia. Several agricultural technology innovations are currently being implemented such as new superior varieties technology, planting jajar legowo, Salibu rice cultivation system, hazton rice cultivation, SRI rice cultivation technology, integrated planting calendar, and integrated crop management. These technological innovations have had an impact on increasing rice production in Indonesia

Mexican sunflower (Tithonia diversifolia) is a invansive weed but it can be used as continuous and on-farm source of nutrient for organic farming system. The objective of this study was to investigate growth and biomass production of T. diversifolia with different rates of chicken manure and plant spacings. The experiment was conducted at Cikarawang, Bogor, on Inceptisol soil type, from October 2011 until January 2012. The experiment was arranged in a randomized block design with 2 factors and 3 replications. The rates of chicken manure were  0, 2.5, 5 and 10 ton ha-1, while the plant spacings were 50 cm x 50 cm and 75 cm x 75 cm. The interaction effect between manure rates and plant spacing was significant on nett assimilation rate at 4-8 weeks after planting, but it was not significant on biomass production. The highest dry weight of biomass (1,129.1 kg ha-1) was obtained from the addition of 10 ton chicken manure ha-1 with the potential contribution as much as 55.47 kg N, 4.54 kg P, 88.54 kg K per hectare. The highest dry weight of biomass produced with planting distance 50 cm x 50 cm (897 kg ha-1). Referring to the results, it can be recommended that the cultivation of T. diversifolia at the first planting needs 10 ton chicken manure ha-1 and the planting distance of 50 cm x 50 cm.<br />Keywords: biomass production, Mexican sun flower, nett assimilation ratio, nutrient contributio, weed

One way to realize a sustainable agricultural system is with an organic farming system. Rukun Makaryo Farmer Group is the farmer group in Karanganyar Regency that referred to organic farming system training at the National level from 2007-2011. Rukun Makaryo Farmer Group has succeeded in creating castle waste as fermented solid and liquid organic fertilizer. Rukun Makaryo Farmer Group has the opportunity to be assessed by the organic rice certification team from the Persada Organic Rice Certification Agency on members 5,9 hectares of land. This research aims to analyze the sustainability of the organic rice program in Rukun Makaryo Farmer Group; 1) Analyze the obstacles that hinder the process of sustainability of the organic rice program, 2) Analyze the hopes of the farmers in realizing of sustainability organic rice program, and 3) Formulate alternative recommendations strategies for assisting farmer groups so that in the future they can carry out the sustainability of the organic rice program independently. This research was conducted in Pereng Village, Mojogedang, Karanganyar, with seventeen respondents of organic farmers. This research method was a qualitative description with a phenomenological approach. This research activity will be gained experience and subjective awareness and interpretation of efforts to maintain the status of organic rice certification. The results showed that; 1) Obstacles that hinder the process of sustainability of the organic rice program are low education, age of farmers, high cost of certification, difficulties in marketing, and complexity of the cultivation technique process, 2) Rukun Makaryo Farmer Group hopes that to have access marketing partnerships so that there will be an increase in selling prices and the development of economic conditions for farmers, and 3) Recommendations for assistance by rice field approach, simultaneous planting system, strengthening farmer organizations with establishing the Internal Control System (ICS), and developing agricultural products marketing systems and facilities.

A weed is a plant that is considered to be nuisance and unwanted plant in human-controlled settings,especially farm field and garden. The weed that grow in surrounding of crop could decrease yield due to competitionoccur between weed and crop on nutrition, sunlight and water. Organic farming system which has been developednowadays is an environmental friendly organic farming system. The objective of this research is to determine weedcompetition on carrot using several kinds of organic fertilizer. Six treatments were used in this research, i.e., greenmanure, combination of green manure and EM, EM alone and control (without manure and EM). The weed wasgrowth together with carrot for 3 months. The parameters are wet weight and dry weight of carrot per meter square.The results show that manuring could increase weed competition which in turn wet weight and dry weight of carrotare decreasing. The highest competition between carrot and weed occurred in the treatment of combination betweenorganic manure which combines with EM. The added EM on organic manure could increase weed competition oncarrot.

This village is purposively taken because this is only a village in East Java which has obtained a certificate as a producer of organic rice from Organic Certification Agency. The sample of farmers 120  respondents selected by using non-proportionate stratified random sampling among those applying organic rice farming. The data are anal<br />The results at the study stage show that there was diversity between implementing organic and agricultural organic farming system. This diversity reached only 8,33 percent application of organic rice farming of the total land area, while the rest was still in the transitional stage of applying organic system. The application of organic rice farming must independently be able to increase production and income of the farmer. <br />Judging from the level of technical efficiency, the application of organic rice farming is generally quite high, above the value of TE (technical efficiency) 0.8, while applying an independent organic farming has higher technical efficiency than others. Os nematoides são animais invertebrados, multicelulares, constituintes de um grupo muito diversificado estimado em um milhão de espécies. As condições ecológicas do solo estão intimamente relacionadas com a sua biodiversidade. O objetivo deste trabalho foi realizar um levantamento da diversidade de espécies de fitonematoides em propriedades que atuam na área de olericultura em Palmas, no Estado do Paraná. As amostras de solo foram coletadas em quatro locais da cidade. Os locais amostrados são: área de mata nativa (MN); propriedade olerícola em sistema de cultivo convencional com a utilização de agrotóxicos (A); duas propriedades de sistema de cultivo orgânico, uma localizada em área urbana (B) e a outra em área rural (C). A maior diversidade de gêneros de fitonematoides encontrados foi encontrada em ambas as propriedades de cultivo orgânico (C e B, respectivamente), que não diferiram significativamente entre si, mas em relação à área de mata nativa (MN) e a propriedade de sistema cultivo convencional (A), nessa ordem. O número de nematoides assim como a diversidade de gêneros identificados foram maiores nas propriedades que exercem o sistema de cultivo orgânico.Palavras-chave: horticultura; nematologia; sistemas de produção vegetal. MORPHOESPECIES RICHNESS OF NEMATOIDES IN THE OLERICULTURE AREAS IN PALMAS - PR  ABSTRACT: The nematodes are invertebrate, multicellular animals, constituents of a very diversified group estimated at one million species and the ecological conditions of the soil are closely related to their biodiversity. The objective of this paper is to perform a survey of the diversity of nematode species on properties that work with olericulture in Palmas, Paraná state. Soil samples were collected at four sites in the city, with a Cfb type climate (temperate, humid and mild summer). Among the sites sampled are: native forest area (MN); farm property with conventional farming system with the use of agrochemicals (A); two organic farming system properties, one located in urban area (B) and the other in rural area (C). The greatest diversity of phytonutrient genera found was found in both organic (C and B, respectively) properties, which did not differ significantly from each other, but in relation to the native forest area (MN) and conventional cropping system (A), in that order. The number of nematodes as well as the diversity of genera identified were higher in the properties that exert the organic cultivation system.Keywords: horticulture; nematology; plant production systems.
